To be fair, wording was they "promised" they would get paid. I wouldn't be surprised if they ignored laws once again and just paid them with government funds with no congressional approval, but their promise hasn't been worth much in the past

I'm interested in exactly how that is happening. Since the House is kept out of session to cover up the epstein files, there's no opportunity to push a bill which would fund specific departments/agencies.

They're illegally transferring funds that congress specifically earmarked for other purposes and using that to fund them. It's a clear violation of the law, but as always, with no independence at the justice department and an army of sycophants in congress and the supreme court, he will not be called on it.
