I feel the books had very little by way of special effects.

This seems like it's made by the same type of person who never shuts up about Littlefinger saying "Your sister."

I don't believe that this is Dorkly, because all the jawlines and facial expressions aren't copy-pasted from each other.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I don't get the Ginny one.

I love the attention to detail when Harry's eyes are blue in every one of the Movie parts.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

if you wanted the feel of the book go read the book again, you have no idea how hard it is to make a movie and you just bitch about it

.

They are different. Get over it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Boo fucking hoo, you didn't get every single bit that was in the books.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Its almost as if books and films are different media

The goblet of fire comparison always gets me

Peeves is not a ghost

Hey op, when you're done with Harry Potter could you remove the louse eggs from my hair too?

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Nits....hee.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My biggest problem with the movies was taking Hermoine's brilliant, awkward, NOT PRETTY character and making her into witch Barbie.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

"Is that really what my hair looks like from the back?" Blech.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I hated how left out Dumbledore's whole background story from deathly hallows, then just throw in his sister and brother with no explanation

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Neville's parents were so, so important to me. I hated that they left out that.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Remind me again what spew was?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Society for the Protection of Elfish Welfare, I think.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sounds like that would be a good guess

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

currently rereading that book. you are correct.

That is what it says, yes.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Are you sure that's a real spell ? If it is, it's not very good."

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Entire movie series is worth it for Neville's Samuel L Jackson scene in the last movie.

"I'm sick and tired of all these mother-fucking snakes, in this mother-fucking castle!

except the half blood prince was spot on, when in the fucking movie did harry look at a phone?

9 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 4

It's making a point that no one really cared in the movie/

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

but they did kinda

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There was no focus on who the half-blood prince was, so the reveal was pointless because you weren't invested in who this person could be

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's the point. KINDA.

"Why wasn't every movie six hours long and giving all the time I wanted to my favorite parts of the story?" - every fucking HP fan, STILL

9 years ago | Likes 529 Dislikes 20

Well it doesn't help that they used-up half the run time showing off the special effects instead of telling the fucking story.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Ngl, at least a few of these take away the core growth of certain characters. And it's replaced with "they became much hotter" so....

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Always

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

100% agree with you, i think the movies are great! I do miss some small parts though that kindof changes the tone alot.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Tv show!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At least some of these aren't about that. The bits on Ginny and Neville especially. Both of them were terrible in the movies.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would have been happy with 5 hours.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

More like "Why did they drag the shortest book into two parts when book 5 is literally over three times as long"

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Conterpoint; Why did they cut out important things to add in irrelevant crap?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Because film is a different medium from books. You'd use different parts in a play, as well.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

One thing I think they should have done with the movies is instead of a movie make it a series with each book getting a season.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not me. I stopped watching after the third one. It wasn't the leaving of stuff out, it was the horrible changing of stuff to make it stupid.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Like a pathetic looking, bald werewolf?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait til the dark towers come out. People are gonna freak

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Im already angry af

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it's going to be an interesting experience. putting all 7 books into one movie.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's what they're doing? Is it going to be 8hrs long?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

more like a 2.5 hr movie to cover the entire series. I think most fans will not like it, and most non fans will enjoy it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

From what I heard theyre gonna do several movies and a TV series

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One of those books series I've been saying I'm gonna read for the past 5 years.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same. But I bought the first few books a week ago and started the first one

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Now that it's about to be turned into a movie I'll probably end up reading soon it just so I can complain about how the messed it up. Lol

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm very curious to see what they do with the virulent black racist who hurls abuse at the white Roland now that they cast Idris Elba.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is why Im angry and probably wont see the movie. Im a huge fan of the books and of Elba but this casting is just stupid

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

White supremacist

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well that's going to gut the sickle cell anemia and background of racial discrimination.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just started the gunslinger s few days ago. So I don't know which book this is in. I don't know how many movies they are planning

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Easy, cut it out of the movie.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm a huge HP fan, and I can assure you this is pretty much 100% accurate. But same for LotR.

9 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

no, the LotR nerds bitch about Arwen, or the barrel-river scene in the hobbit

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The Arwen change is one of the few story decisions that actually made sense.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Im a LOtR fan. I think that they made many intelligent story decisions. But the mistakes they made were so bad it makes me sick

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am SO PISSED at what they did to Faramir in the movies. He the books he is a wise and tough noble man. In the movies he cries

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Faramir was my biggest gripe with the movies honestly

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Me too, but what they did to Frodo was worse. He's so moany and delicate in the movie. In the books, he's hurt and scared, but also 1/

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

/2 stronger than he knows and fiercely determined.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Agreed as well...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ugh, Christ, those are people who don't actually remember what Tolkien wrote. Cardboard characters and rich backstories of hills and trees.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Which makes cutting out the ending where you see the growth the Hobbits had annoying.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Infuriating. The entire point of their journey was to make them grow up, not just as individuals. Hobbits fought back for what mattered. 1/

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

/2 Character growth? Pssh. We have sword fights and more elves than there actually are in Middle Earth...and almost no history. Yay?
