When I share articles from the Washington Post, NY Times, and certain other news sources to which I subscribe, I sometimes post the entire article because they are paywalled. I do this knowing some people can’t or won’t pay for subscriptions and I think they should be informed. It’s like I took my copy of the paper and cut out that article for everyone to pass around

Source: https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/louis-dejoy-campaign-contributions/2020/09/06/1187bc2c-e3fe-11ea-8181-606e603bb1c4_story.html

TL;DR: Post Master General DeJoy engaged in some very, very shady looking practices on the road to becoming a trump crony. He denies slowing down the postal service in order to interfere with the 2020 election. WaPo provides a lot of info from many different sources to piece together a portrait of an alleged sleaze ball crook

Vote early (and only once)! If you must do an absentee ballot, try to skip the post office and drop it in your local ballot box. You can also send it via an express mail delivery service. If you vote in person, go early to your polling place, bring a folding chair and snacks, wear a mask of course, and assume you need to take the day off work because there may be very long lines.

You can register to vote within your state by contacting its board of elections. I’m told that some states make it hard to register to vote. If you go to vote.gov it will direct you to your state’s register to vote page. I know people who successfully used iwillvote.com to get to the right site and/or forms to download to register. (If asked for your email address you can use a burner email address to avoid any spam risk).

If you have already registered to vote, please double check with your state board of elections, vote.gov, or iwillvote.com to make sure that you have not been purged from voter rolls, as some states have been removing legally registered voters without informing them.

MV edit: we all know the corruption is out of hand. We all see the election tampering, the cronyism, the numerous crimes committed by this administration. We need to vote out everyone who is enabling this administration! Remember that as you cast your ballot! Vote blue.

Lock them up or burn them. If not one, then the other.

You’re doing great work, thank you.

If he gets convicted of state felonies by NC, the president can't pardon him. So get off your ass and get to it NC!

The Trump crime family roots run deep have turned a swamp into an open sewer. The Trump regime is incredibly corrupt and very open about it

I was at “oh that fucking snake” territory by the second screenshot and it kept getting worse. Fuck everything attached to Trump, seriously.

America corruption at its lowest

A face only a mother could punch

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is there any surprise to this at all? Basically an organized crime syndicate squatting in the ruins of a political party.

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I was just thinking the very same thing! What better place to hide than a political party.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The party of law and order draining the swamp, I presume?

Well that’s just criminal. It’s a long life and this isn’t going away. Let’s take it slow to watch him throw people under the bus.

A Republican will happily do a million dollars of damage to you if it puts a thousand dollars in their pocket.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Talk about having "little man" syndrome! See what a shortie he is compared to those other guys?!

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

#8 Oh he's so tiny! Maybe we should just shove him into a mail drop box for a while.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why the fuck is there only a 5 year statute of limitation of campaign finance fraud?

5 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Because the people that commit campaign finance fraud, also made that law. You won't get convicted, as long as you don't lose the election.

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Raise your hand if you're surprised.... Oh... No one? Wow, nothing like this ever happens so I'm amazed no one is surprised.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wonder when the FBI will be going after this guy.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

As soon as the election is over, and as soon as Trump loses.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

At some stage America, you're going to have to do something about all this corruption.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yup

Par for the course?

He looks like a toddler who's just shit his pants and is waiting for his mom to stop talking to her friend so her can tell her.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Isn’t congress subpoenaing him now?

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

He testified, it’s discussed in the article. “I’m a good boy, how dare you think I’m not”

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

He's a good lapdog

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

If the GOP loses the election, they're going to be buried in indictments. If they win, this will be the new normal.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

If they lose, no they won't. That's been a rallying cry in politics since 1800, and it never happens. The only exception being Garfield iirc

When you think of regulations, you should consider it's most often to make sure this kind of awful behavior doesn't happen.

Quickest way to get DeJoy out of the USPS: Indict and arrest.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

We have less than two months until the election. Not time for indictments. Get out and get people registered and vote in-person.

Thank you, sir or ma'am.

You’re welcome, sir or ma’am.

Fun Fact: There are no consequences for this. Dinesh D'Souza was convicted for a similar scheme. Trump pardoned him.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Dinesh still served time in prison.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Can’t pardon state felons & there’s no statute of limitations for state felonies.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Most (all?) of these look like contributions to federal campaigns, which would be a violation of federal law.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's money laundering isn't it?

5 years ago | Likes 324 Dislikes 2

Not it no one prosecutes him.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

No, it's not. Making a contribution in another's name is its own crime. 51 U.S.C. § 30122.

5 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 0

Oh the latest, State authorities in Wisconsin are looking at prosecuting him, so no Fed Barr to protect. And can happen before election.

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I hope they’re working late nights to get that off the ground, doing the people’s work right there.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yes, yes it is.

5 years ago | Likes 175 Dislikes 3

Wait that's Trumps job

5 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 1

Guess he has an alleged protégé.

5 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 1

He's got that scumbag look to him

5 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

He really does.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He does, but that's neither illegal nor immoral, unlike his actions.
