Fresh-water turtles are assholes!!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why make something so cute and then turn it into a scary fucking dinosaur that can bite your arm off with one clean bite when it gets older?

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I mean, he is trying to bite the hand that feeds him right now...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It looks like a sideneck, they're pretty harmless and derpy looking, usually kept as pets

Let's play fill in the blank "Turtle = you, Finger = any of your goals, Glass tank = ?"

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Glass tank = life

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I really wanna see this at 600fps or thereabouts.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Turtles need extremely large tanks

8 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

this looks like a temporary tank for when the proper one is being cleaned, or to travel with the turtle while I.E moving

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep. My turtle is only about halfway grown and we have him in a 75 gallon. May upgrade when he gets bigger

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that little guy needs one of these, at least:

Same with humans.

Even while they are tiny like this? It seems like it'd be a good idea to have a smaller tank at first and then move them over to a big one?

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

You'd be surprised at how much space aquatic animals need. Goldfish for example need approx 120liters for one and +40 liters for two+++

Always do research before raising any animal

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

A small turtle becomes big very fast if its kept healthy. Small tanks get dirty and they become ill from poor water quality. A small tank 1?

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

2Is only big enough for a few months maybe and then the animals is suffering. I get turtles surrendered several times a week because other

Like in nature, where younger turtles are kept in small tanks, because they cant... oh wait. Usually its "the bigger the better". go for 1m

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, mother turtles dig out a tiny separate pond next to the big one to raise them in, because a mostly aquatic animal can't swim at birth.
