I wheezed. Then I cackled. Then I snorted. Now I'm chuckling. 11/10

His t-shirt subtly says it all....

Thought this was Tom segura from the thumbnail

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Restaurant supply store. Cheap pans but good quality.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

delicious

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Better than expected

4 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 0

agreed

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean, the pan notwithstanding... his technique is horrible. You gotta slide front to back, and flick it up.

4 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

And he was so excited about what he was about to do, too.

That dish was already ruined, burnt as shit on the bottom. The handle did you a favor

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

happy birthday to the ground!!!

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Why are frying pans made with the weakest fucking handles?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bottom was burnt anyway

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Can we talk about those toe nails/shower shoe combo? That's the travesty here

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tom Segrua is haveing a rough day

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

His arm’s still a little limp, what can you expect

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

moral of the story, dont buy pos cookware

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Figured Tom Segura would've had a nicer kitchen

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

have you seen his epic basketball play? the one where he broke an arm and a leg

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought it was Phreak, from LCS.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I, too, thought it was Tom

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Meh, it was pretty overcooked anyway.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Step one: Dont buy stupid shit like this (removable handle, can see the release button fly away).

When I see a repost, I re-comment.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wasn’t this an exact copy of a near top comment on the other one that’s on FP right now?

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

When I see a repost, I re-comment

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Paprika is flavorless

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

You're buying the wrong paprika.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

If you’re buying it at Kroger you might be right. Good paprika made from the right chilis is awesome! Smoked paprika too.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There is too much pepper on my paprikash.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

+1 for Harry/Sally quote

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Aww, I kinda feel bad. That would have been a hearty omelette.

4 years ago | Likes 496 Dislikes 2

This is rice with crispy tahdig under it. This isn’t supposed to be flipped like this. You spoon the rice onto a platter first.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have been told this is tahdig : https://www.themediterraneandish.com/tahdig-recipe-crispy-persian-rice/

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

100% thought the same thing!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks more like a Spanish tortilla. (Not to be confused with a flour or corn tortilla)

4 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

It’s rice with tahdig.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tortillas are too thick for that. The trick is to put a plate over, flip onto plate then slide it back in the plate.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I’m hungry and would 10/10 eat that

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A whole pizza is like 5 bucks.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Apply the 5 second rule...

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was already burnt

4 years ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 12

It’s crispy rice called tahdig, this is how it’s supposed to look.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love a bit of brown/burn on my food. Wouldn't have been an issue, just an added delicious crunch.

4 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 5

Cronch

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To each their own, a little char on your chicken versus burnt eggs are very different to me.

4 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 2

Agreed. And the dish in the pic is way more scrambled eggs than it ever was an omelette anyway.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ah, so you like char on the egg after it has matured

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

At least he didn't splash hot fat all over his hand flipping a ribeye like i managed to do last week.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Why would you flip a steak like that?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Alchohol...

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fair

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have several questions

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same. Why would you flip a rib-eye like this?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because I was drunk. Didn't think about the fact the pan had a lot of fat in it at the time

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm a grill guy 90% of the time but I'm hoping cast iron was the alternative

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seasoned steel pan

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don’t buy cheap cookware.

4 years ago | Likes 1040 Dislikes 38

especially cheap teflon, or teflon at all

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lives in 550 sq ft apt with 3 people. At least I spent $200 on a pan!!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

You don't need to spend 200 for a good pan. Get a carbon steel.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Guy already buys shitty whiskey

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Carbon steel pan.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

IKEA cookware is cheap and functional. Had some for over 4 years now, no problems at all

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have that brand lol! Got it at Publix

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ooooof look at mr pow pow with enough disposable income to spend 60+ on a frying pan! /S

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's not, that's a detachable handle; shouldn't be flipping thing tho- using it wrong.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wallymart pan ?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Try Circulon sets ppl. Fairly affordable, but considering the quality they are a good investment. Will last.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Shit the best pans I have came from a thrift store for a dollar, just a little bit of elbow grease and they were good.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've never had that happen to any of my cheap ikea cookware

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do buy cheap cookware. The first time. Then when you ruin it or it wears out you know you can spend 5x as much on good cookware.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

... or maybe you just don't buy non-stick cookware anymore because you like scraping your pots with metal spatulas.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've had this happen on an expensive fry pan before , sometimes shit just happens

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Wow thanks, maybe I can lay off the avocado toast too.

4 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 1

I got one of my sturdiest pants at a thrift store for $5. Well made doesn’t always mean expensive.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Boots' theory of socioeconomic unfairness.

4 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 3

Dont think it is cheap looks like a tefal but the range with a removable handles ao you can use them in the oven

4 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 2

I got my first set about five years ago. Nonstick ceramic Calphalon. My drunk ex and less than stellar current roommates have them scratched

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shoulda bought some cheap cookware instead.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To all hell. Just bought myself a steal of a set of hard anodized aluminum, also from Calphalon, that I'm not opening until they move out.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don’t be poor /s

4 years ago | Likes 149 Dislikes 5

Being poor is very expensive

4 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

have you seen what boots cost?

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Hullo Vimes, how are you?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

was looking for the terry pratchett!

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

One $50 piece for ten years can be much harder than one $10 piece a year for ten years

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

$50 ?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

I'm not quite sure I get what you're going for, and from the looks of it, not many people do either

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My cheap walmart pots and pans are still working after a decade. Not sure what you're doing they have to be replaced every year.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

in Argentina we have the legendary Essen cookware which is like 8mm aluminium and none of them is under $200. They last a lifetime.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you wanna buy mine. Tengo una olla grande.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cast iron is cheap. Buy cast iron

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 7

If you don't know how to restore "antique" pieces, cast iron is _not_ cheap.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I found my everyday pan brand new for $20 on the lodge website.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I've had too many quality control issues with lodge cookware. It may be cheap, and it's cheap for a reason.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’ve never had an issue and I used that pan everyday for 4 years

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That might be the Tefal cookware that has one interchangeable handle (so pots etc stack/store easily). Handle is the weak point.

4 years ago | Likes 159 Dislikes 2

Plus his direction of flipping is wrong. Momentum away from the body to bring it back to you.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That particular set is ass the handles are terrible. The diamond chef I have from Japan are way better. (I have both sets)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is that a thing?? You just brought back a memory from when I was a little girl. I had a toy cookware set with a handle like that. It was /1

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Its a thing with tefal, super nice to store pans and pots in small drawers. Never had that problem.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

styled to be Corningware. /2

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And I just found it! https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1010711235/vintage-corning-ware-kitchen-set-toy-25 I haven't thought of it for ages! /3

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also tefal is cheap.

4 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 2

Yup great for a year or so.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes. $80 for a sub par frypan is cheap..

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just bought a carbon steel pan. It's fucking life changing. Cheap, a pleasure to use and no chemical coatings so you can get it good and hot

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends on country, i notice US users have a very poor view of Tefal, while French users love it.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

My Tefal pan is great. This probably sounds like an ad but it's lightweight, strong and cooks really evenly.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

My cast iron is strong, can cook over literally any heat source, light enough to juggle and slipperier than any non stick I've ever seen.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

And unless someone take an oxyacetylene torch to them, they'll still be that good when my great grandchildren are dead and dust.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Cast Iron is not light enough to juggle. You talking about carbon steel?
