Can't imagine driving in the middle of the pack catching all of that dirty air doing 180MPH and inches from the next car. Most drivers have a hard time doing 35MPH with no traffic

That sounds like some new techno mix.
Do kids these days still call it techno?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nobody gonna comment on how the held on to that phone?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Exhilarating and unforgettable! I once had a table at the French restaurant halfway down the Mulsanne at Le Mans during the 24hr. The rotary Mazdas screaming past at 220mph+ in darkness just a few feet from the table was astonishing. Then one of our crowd got drunker drunk and set fire to the woods stopping the race, or maybe that was another year (34+ years ago, pre chicanes) . Never saw him again. Heady days.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One accident would clearly wipe out that whole viewing platform.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 14

If you notice the bars and netting, it's meant to catch flying debris. They've caught full race cars as well.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

This is why you should keep a safety distance from byciclists.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Never been to a race track. Is the wind falling the cars this severe/strong?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can be yes. Depends on the track. Superspeedways where you can get nice and close like this, absolutely.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The mass of air that those cars must be dragging along with them. Jesus.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Pushing, not dragging

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All the aero of a brick with a spoiler nailed to it travelling nearly as fast as an F1 car. Pretty crazy machines.

Jeff Dunham may be a d bag, but that’s a classic line.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bernoulli's principle explains what’s going on here. As the cars go by they increase the velocity of the air which actually decreases the pressure hence the wind pulling him into the track

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

No, cars are flesh magnets stupid

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

God you're dumb. The cars aren't flesh magnets. The 5G signals from our vaccines create magnetic resonance fields that are attracted to the steel of the cars frames and engines. That's why so many NASCAR fans refused the vaccines. You can't go to a NASCAR race anymore. It's too dangerous!

I wanna see HIS video...

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just finished watching The Final Destination, the one that starts at a race track.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No interest in watching NASCAR on TV but I've been a couple times in person and it's not a bad experience.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Felt the same when a friend took me to a local drag race. Thought why would I wanna see someone drive in a line? But hey it was fun.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's not the sort of drag race I thought you were talking about at first.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's not how it works. And assuming the gender of a kid is becoming increasingly weird as why should the kid's sexual orientation be any of someone else concern. So your insistence on the child's sex is creepy. Just call them a kid and have a good day.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Sexual orientation != gender

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Thats besides the point, inquiring about a child's gender should be seen as weird even creepy and I'm part of the movement where gender is NOBODY'S ELSES BUSINESS BUT THE PARENTS OR GARDIANS.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

People, what the hell are you talking about?! Sexual orientation? He's about 10yrs old! Having fun while watching a NASCAR race. They, thems, movements? I just said he's a boy! Stating the obvious and y'all acting like lunatics. Get a grip or take your pills, I don't care but stop pushing children into gender politics. They're going to have time for that when they reach adult age. Stop this shit, it's -as you'd say it- creepy.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

RIP that kid's hearing.

2 years ago | Likes 613 Dislikes 4

One full throttle NASCAR in the pits can reach sound levels as high as 130 dB, while fans who are enjoying the race can experience sounds levels around 100 dB. To put that into perspective, 100 dB is as loud as a lawnmower, while 130 dB is as loud as a thunderclap, or a chain saw at its loudest. He’s fine with class 3-5 earplugs

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He might be wearing plugs, you wounds see them

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My dad grew up near Seattle and they had a racetrack out there that they would sneak down to when they came back his mom would be super pissed because they weren't supposed to go and she knew they went because they were deaf for a little while after

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Indeed, that music is horrible.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The kid slows down the video and sees a driver do this…

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He’ll be f’n fine. I grew up listening to heavy metal in the 80’s and 90’s, worked on Huey’s and Cobras on active duty in the Marines in the 00’s, and on F-15s in the ‘teens. HEARING IS JUST FINE. WHAT?

Hoping that's ear protection under the hoodie

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Stock car fans? Not likely.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It only hurts for a while. You need juuust the right amount of hearing loss. Just a little deaf

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not sure even plugs plus muffs would be sufficient protection for this

2 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 2

what? It's loud but have you ever been to a metal concert? Far louder lol. and my hearing is still fine.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

Ya'll know that the people sitting in those cars getting that noise even louder the whole time can hear just fine, right? A good set of molded earplugs are amazing and good ones are reusable for years, not a bad investment.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Plugs help, I got some decent muffs though. It's soo goddamn loud

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Plugs are probably enough to prevent permanent damage from a single event like this, probably still uncomfortable.

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Good quality foam ear plugs are enough. I prefer over the ear muffs, as I can listen to the radio, at a normal level too. No way you can have a decent conversation anyway.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not as loud as you think, a concert is usually louder (which wear ear plugs to a concert). Still a good set of plugs is a must especially if you're going to be in the pits. I put a set of headphones on my kid for a race and wear plugs the entire I'm working in a paddock.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And you'd have to have two women to get a muff for each ear - and then they'd probably want protection too, it's a whole thing.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

That's easy to solve -- just keep adding pairs of women until you have a big muff pyramid. Based on my calculations, it would only take infinity women to have complete protection for everyone.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It didn't sound that loud on my phone

2 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 1

He should've just changed audio devices smh

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

i did that at several NASCAR tracks when they were still using leaded gas, it might be what's wrong with me

2 years ago | Likes 185 Dislikes 1

I still remember turning up to my first F1 event, hearing the V8's roaring around from literally miles away. Epic.

Mits recent study showed 120 million Americans received toxic levels of lead poisoning from 1940-1980 resulting on average 3-5 lower IQ points. Millions of IQ points stolen from Americans. Lead poisoning results in blocking receptors in the brain responsible for empathy.

2 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

And the oil industry had to be forced by the government to stop it.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would actually be happy to find out that their empathy was lowered because of environmental causes instead of choice.

2 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Honestly, it did change a perspective for me which helped a lot. I hate a lot of these selfish bigots and boomers for how they take and make everything shitty for women minorities and the poor but we are all victims of capitalism and the rich. They poisoned us with lead knowingly to save 3¢ per gallon in profits.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Yeah, the generation to grow up after lead was banned from gas and household paint had a significant reduction in serial killers/murderers. I just don't remember where that data came from

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm general now millennials and boomers are incredibly more compassionate and mindful also the highest rate of non religious of all generations.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lead gas strongly contributed to the fall of America and trump getting elected imo

2 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I don't think we talk about it enough.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It's absolutely insane to me and I think if it wasn't for Thomas Midgley jr we could have a youtopia right now. He was responsible for unleaded gas, lead being put in paint and he created the machines and processes that almost destroyed the ozone layer in the 70s and 80s. Literally one man that's done so much damage to the world and it's people for money

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

So that’s our target when time travel happens. Orrr wait wouldn’t it already have happened? Damn.
