Warning: Boobs, so maybe NSFW

The only problem is that if I stay in the pool, unshaded, I will burn anyway. So do I would to bake, or broil?

I have seen nothing of this comic, but from the art style alone I’m willing to bet there’s naked people in it.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks like a big green nipple in the first panel.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They are all in uniform.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hmmm probably because i dont live to close to the equator but i had no ac all last year. i got it now. main difference is i close my sliding door and window instead of keeping them open.

Stayed at a place near Lake Havasu in Arizona last year in November... didn't drop below 100F the entire week we were there. If we weren't inside with the A/C we were outside in the pool.

Later, they get all hot and sweaty tho.

Oh right this comic. Super cute, but way more nsfw than just "boobs"

Two in the pool have the same face. Pulled a Verinoca and Betty on us.

2 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Yeah, although in this case their similarity is intentional.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it's actually pointed that two siblings (the buff blonde and her brother, who is by the door in the first panel) are dating girls who look and act remarkably similar.

2 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

But let's face it, it's also sort of because the artist is a bit same-face-y sometimes and this was a clever way to hang a lampshade on it.

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

that's because they have the same face:

Easily one of my favorite webcomics in recent years.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is the name in the corner the comic name or author name?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nortuet is the author of the comic. Nortverse.com is the website the comic is posted to. I'm not sure what the official name of the comic is. I know it as Tara and Beverly.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I suppose I should have known much of it would be NSFW, but that's hilarious. I especially liked the reindeer sweater gag.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think my favorite is last year's Halloween special.

I have to admit, the comics were suprisingly wholesome and super cute ^^

2 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 3

I have to assume the artist intended for them to be pornographic more often but realized people just really liked the wholesome romance. Kind of like Oglaf but with feelgood vibes instead of dick jokes.

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I think he makes the horni when he is... uh... horni; and then in the post nut clarity gets really into the romantic shit. The next morning, he writes the laughs; and back to horni

We need to build better houses so air conditioning isn't as important or just mainly for heating. Bedrooms in the basement are also good.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

cellar dweller checkin in! lols

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

With the materials available for proper or good insulation nowadays, you can build homes with like the same R value as a deep freezer, so you can basically heat your home with a candle and cool it with an ice cube. It's a lot more costly, but it would save you fucktons of money in the long run, cuz it would cut heating and cooling needs to a fraction.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

godthisisBS..Try doing this shit in Northern Australia. Aint no amount of building will keep shit cool.. and before say go underground, torrential rainfall and underground living space DO NOT WORK!!!

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Perhaps then the solution is to not live in places that are inhospitable year round.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I legit did this once when I was a kid like every Southern household we had three refrigerators in the garage that did absolutely nothing but hold beer and soda. One of them happened to be empty so I just kind of went inside of it and was like you know what this is pretty cool. I spent pretty much the whole day in there before my parents found me. I would open the door every 30 minutes or so to let fresh air in. I had my game boy color with its screen light addon some Doritos and a few sodas.lol

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Nice to see you're still with us, unlike some other unfortunate children.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Considering some of the other stupid shit I've done I shouldn't be. I literally tried making a submarine out of fucking plywood. When I ended up making was basically a box that I tried to waterproof with duct tape. Unsuccessfully I might add. Of course I didn't have ballast so It just kind of floated until it started filling with water.... But thankfully I had the foresight to test it seeworthiness before I actually went inside of it and realized it was actually a dumb idea. Haba

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yep. Android 17 was named Lapis when he was human and Android 18 was Lazuli. Making them technically cyborgs, not androids.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In Nortuet's canon, Krillin has like a 10-foot dick.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

... and she has a usb port?

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yes, but that's not all!

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Both Nortuet's and Team Four Star's canon...

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

At lest until Uub, who is canon.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Krillin might be a better fighter than Uub. Uub has more potential due to being the reincarnation of Majin Buu, but that power only really gets cultivated after Dragon Ball Z ends.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I call god shenanigans on this one. Reincarnation of a soul of an foreign magical entity into a human. Ain't a natural human for me. ^^

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I have an AC unit, but I choose only to use in absolute emergencies. I'm weird though, so...

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was in Las vegas, Nevada for 8yrs... did I sin! Apartment even had a central HVAC.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, it ruins you.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My brother's house has it, mine doesn't. I almost want to live with my bro just to get it.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The 400 year old house i grew up in did not have ac, midnight sun ment 24h of direct sunlight on the outer walls of my very big bedroom. And a steel roof to trap all heat. Hottest it ever got in there was 51C. Can't imagine what it is like there now when the heatwaves are getting hotter.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, no you would not. I installed a heatpump (A/C that can also heat efficiently) a couple years ago. Best investment ever. Heating bill went down by at least half and I can stay nice and cool in summer. Bedroom is underneath the roof too so that used to get very uncomfortably hot as well. Not anymore! If I ever move to a house that doesn't already have it it will be at the top of my list to get it installed.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have not had a home with AC in my adult life. It's not the end of the world. It turns out that I tolerate heat better than anyone else I know, and I've been living like this for ~25 years now. It's very possible to live that way.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You make can make due if it has a whole house fan. But the middle of the day is still pretty shitty

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have and no, you cannot

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I grew up without AC but the house we lived in was really well insulated. Summers were only about 30 degrees Celsius at their peak. It was very doable. Now all the places I've lived recently need AC because the houses are basically cardboard boxes with 0 shade. It's like an oven in them.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I grew up in South Texas without AC. We never had blankets, and you would go to sleep sweaty and wake up sweaty. The summers were in the 100’s and winters in the 70’s. But I never worried or complained about it. I got AC when I was older and I’ll never fucking go back to not having AC. It seems crazy now.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Neither have I, but I'm in south America where the houses are made of brick and the weather is less extreme so its more of a luxury thing so far

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It was a luxury thing in much of Europe too, but then runaway global warming is giving them "unprecedented" heat waves every summer, so it's starting to become a necessity.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, not ever, especially if you're in the American south

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can tell you from experience, my room is like a sauna day and night, but my brother's room? It's cold and cozy because he got the A/C. It is a huge difference with an A/C over using fans

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ours broke last year just as the temps went into triple digits for over a week... it sucked so much.

Used to live in CA and didn't have it. Moved to Texas and I'd be dead of dehydration without it. People die here from heat stroke. No way would I be without it in TX. Elsewhere? Probably I'd be ok.

I never lived somewhere that I've needed a heater.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’ve never lived somewhere that needed cooling

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I grew up without AC. Eventually, I got a ceiling fan. When I moved out, central air ❤️. Keep the house around 75F in the summer and 72F in the winter. I used to feel guilty about it, but now I am just comfortable and happy.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

According to my French wife.. no

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I managed a couple years without a/c after having it in college dorms. Now that I've had window units for a solid decade - and have moved out of New England - couldn't imagine going without again.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No you cannot go back

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I grew up in the midwest with central air. Then i moved to the pacific northwest which would have been fine.. But the last decade has had record highs, with 110+ the last few years. So I guess with new highs unless you live on the poles probably not.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

In the coming years it's going to get to the point where A/C will not be optional. The US southeast is starting to reach wet bulb temperatures that are not human survivable without A/C. We are going to start seeing situations in poor areas where there will be hundred to thousands of deaths every time there's a heat wave.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

But, why go back? Conditioning the air for your comfort is just better. It's like insisting that chopsticks are the best utensil -- no, spoons and forks and knives are far, far better. Having the ambient temperature and humidity set to *nearly* perfect conditions allows you to do so much more.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

my grandmother and my wife's grandmother both live in houses without central AC (both in New England), and I've stayed at both. but even they have broken down and bought a couple of window units.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

No

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Depends on where you live.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I grew up in a house without AC. Now, when ever I looked for apartments, anything that doesn't have AC gets thrown to the bottom of the list. (Heck, most of the ones without AC weren't even cheaper...)

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I grew up in Alabama without A/C, we put fans in the windows to blow the heat out. I am fine with inside temperatures up to 90 degrees F now, but I don't know anyone else who can stand that. I like it hot! I prefer northern politics but southern weather :-(

2 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 2

I’m the exact opposite. Born and raised in Alaska and I like the cold very much. Like sleep with the window open in winter kind of cold. But I moved to Houston, TX about a year and a half ago for work and these summers are trying to kill me. The highest my AC ever goes to is 72 degrees and even that is warm to me. I start sweating as soon as I walk out the front door. LOL.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Im like a lizard sometimes, I want to lie on a warm rock in the sun and fall asleep.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wear SPF clothes if you do that, okay? And sunscreen/suntan lotion. And a wide brimmed hat. The sun is a massive ball of radiation that is trying to kill you- don’t let it win.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The fact that pretty much noone got AC here in Sweden is starting to become a slight problem, concrete buildings and buildings made to always trap heat are not ideal during heatwaves =_=

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

A lot of people probably have AC only because they have a heat pump. Which is just an AC running in reverse.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm in the UK, I feel your pain.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Same here in Denmark. Got AC installed a couple of years ago. Really been a lifesaver. We dont use it that often, but when the heat gets unbearable, its so nice to have.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

germany here, yep, in my childhood summer temps of 30°C+ for a couple days/weeks were okay-ish as it was school break anyways and we would spend the time at a public pool or wherever, but last years were 40°C+ and im obviously a working adult now so no big summer breaks, its really annoying and exhausting to live with the heat...

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You can get a decent used AC for like 200$ now. Even a brand new 10k BTU U shaped window unit cost me 500$. In Montreal we routinely get multiple days over 40°c (104°f) so AC is not an option

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I grew up without it. Have one now. Instantly installed a programmable thermostat. Still run my house warmer than most with daytime being 80 and nights at 74

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Temps in F

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One of ours went out for 3 days in early June when Texas was clocking 100+ every day. Without completely overloading the 2nd one we could only get the house to the low 90s until we got the other unit replaced. It was miserable

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I would sleep in my car.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I grew up in one. It's hell. Too hot outside and your parents send you out into it, then the house warms up all day so it's 100f at night.

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

your parents needed to install an Attic Fan to deal with that excess heat

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's what we had, pure heaven feeling the outside air come pouring in.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We rented. So that wasn't gonna happen.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

oh shit, sorry to hear that, I understand. you have my retroactive condolences

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

All good. It was 31+ years ago, now.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Your body gets used to heat and cold after a while. Apparently, it's even good for you. But then again inside my house, it's currently 24 Celsius and outside it's 35. If it wasn't a rental, I'd add more insulation and add sunscreens on the outside. The problem with going back is probably that your income has gone down or other bad luck, and you'll feel sorry for yourself. You'll miss the luxury you treated yourself to. So probably no.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Where does it say 105+ with the heat index is good for you? I've been to the ER twice in the last few months because of our crazy heat and working outside. The humidity is so high that I simply don't sweat enough to cool off. I grew up in the heat and my body is telling me to fuck off with spending any more time in it.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Of course, there are limits to what your body can handle. 40 Celsius is just extremely hot.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I grew up with just a fan in my room. We installed an AC a couple months ago and I can't understand how I ever got through the past heatwaves without one

2 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 0

It's not just rose-tinted-glasses. The climate trends are becoming lethal without artificial cooling.

2 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

We have a small AC. Even with it, my GF and cats suffered heat exhaustion when it hit 111 here in Oregon a while back.
