But a few days is three days.. not two...

I suspect an embedded poster for the sake of a publicity stunt.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That's so stupid, I love it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's not bad

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's EA. Don't buy EA games. Simple as that.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was curious why I am still able to play

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right intime for shadow of war

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Wow, it really does work on the weak minded.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Honestly it's really fun so far. And WAYYYY more content than the first in the beta alone

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm loving the space battles. REALLY looking forward to the campaign.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just want some legit space battles

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I enjoyed the hell out of them. I get that this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I found the game to be a good time overall.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Holy shit that worked...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But.. they did this for the first one...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I installed this PoS 2 days ago and spent half an hour trying to get passed the UA page it would even let me accept the damn thing (xb1) 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And yesterday I managed to accept it by the grace of Gabe And it did the same shit on the main menu so I still couldn't play. So fuck you EA

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You may go about your business -you may go about your business Move along -move along

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Fuckin EA ripping people off as usual! a few means 3 or more. 2 is only a couple! Motherfuckers!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Thank you, Imgur, for letting me know the beta was open

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This game is crazy fun

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

People, please stop giving EA money.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have serious, serious trust issues when it comes to EA games like the game looks great but am I buying half a game again?

Ubisoft stepped up there game alot recently aswell... R6S and the division both getting tons of support even though they were failing hard

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

you're buying the whole game, but other people can buy upgrades to have 100% more damage and health than you so multiplayer is gonna suck

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Generally.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not worried about the amount or quality of content but I am really worried about the microtransactions they put in it this time.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This is why I always wait like 2 months for the youtuber reviews to come out. If angry joe likes it, I might give it a shot

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

AJ has already had his rant about the current loot crate system. I was really looking forward to this and SoW, but definately a no buy 4 me

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I usually wait for boogie2988 to go over it, although his stance on microtransactions is far more strict than mine, he has great reviews

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The real battlefront 2 now says classic,2005 next to it. So that’s weird.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We've always been at war with Eastasia, though.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The 1st game was such a fucking disaster, theu promise 18 maps but it looks to be some maps are the same just smaller sect of a whole.

8 years ago | Likes 102 Dislikes 7

play the "classic" battlefronts. they're already everything you could want

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

And with the servers up and running again. Yeah.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Im having problems connecting to those servers, anyone else have that issue?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I do actually but idk why, i assumed it was due to a 2nd peraon on my network connecting. Didnt diagnose tho

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Season pass is free as far as I'm aware; go back and play it's great fun with more maps and game modes

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 5

of course its free. advancement is through stupid loot boxes

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 9

You guys are talking about different games. He meant the first game, you mean the second.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Its only free if you bought the deluxe version not standard

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 6

He means its free now. However i think that might only be with ea access. Not sure.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No it's free for standard. All DLC is free.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Ehh I got the season pass free even though I had the standard edition

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Aka you actually paid for the game + dlc but they call it 'deluxe' to make you feel better about it. Fuckin publishers

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Trying to make you feel like you got a better deal because the dlc was 'free' when you bought a more expensive version of the game

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

STOP ADVERTISING THIS GAME! who cares, it still have loot boxes, which are strictly pay-to-win. AND its EA, fuck sake ppl.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 7

EA have just confirmed that they, as a company, are weak minded

8 years ago | Likes 852 Dislikes 9

The first step to recover is admitting the problem publicly.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 4

"Confirmed." Just like I "confirm" the presence of gravity every time I put my feet on the ground?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was that ever in question?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Most of what they do is rerelease the same game over and over, so I’m inclined to agree.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Madden 2031 New Feature: team rosters have different names!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I thought the monetisation made that apparent

8 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 0

They are a large corporation that people will buy from. They found a way to squeeze more money out. Sounds like we are the weak minds

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Those who buy something with such game breaking microtransactions in could be argued to be yes.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But when other companies do it people praise them for listening to the community (I know we're talking about EA).

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

(Psst... it's because the Jedi Mind Trick only works on the weak-minded, and it worked on EA...)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't forget stupid. Few means 3. Not two.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You must be a thrilling conversationalist.... Few : a small number of. synonyms:a small number, a handful, a couple, two or three...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

"a" is one, a couple is two, a few is three or four. How many people are on the cover of A Few Good Men?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The cover of a few good men vs. a dictionary? You apparently win...and are a potato

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was contesting your assertion that 2 is "a few". The dictionaries I checked call out 2 as being referred to as "a couple"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought they were Toydarians. Jedia mind tricks don't work; only money

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

No, they're really weak minded Toydarians.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or they just want more data to make sure the full game is the best it could be, don't be a negative douche.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Hard not to be when EA is involved

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well idk why everyone is so salty, the beta has been awesome IMO

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

EA has given many reasons to be salty. Mismanagement of games, microtransactions, poor customer service...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is that their fault, or yours for continuing to think it will be any different. Bigger expectations bigger disappointment. Lol

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or, and I know this is a stretch, but maybe they are trying to buy more precious time to fix the half-finished game they planned to release?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Let's remake a total classic. Put amazing graphics. Decent gameplay. Lots of maps and modes. And then only release 10% of it upfront. -EA

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

They, unfortunately did not remake Battlefront 2. It's simply a new Star Wars game titled as the old one, but I agree about the 10% part.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hokey customer satisfaction and ancient commitment to quality are no match for a good continuous revenue stream at your side, kid.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wahguaghhgahhhhhhhhhghhhhhhhhhhghhhhhhhhhhghhh! *in agreeance*

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What do you mean? no flame

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I am talking about the one just before this new Battlefront 2. You originally had to pay like $200 dollars for all the DLC

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think he means the beta test. It's very limited. I had a blast though, and really like the feel of it. Very active game.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Almost! Just talking about the one before it - was released with 3 maps and 6 heroes, and $200 worth of DLC

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah hopefully EA learned their lesson. I've always gotten my money back when their games fell completely flat in the past.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The game is fun, feels good to play something Star Wars related, but fuck this lootbox system, not going to buy just because of this

8 years ago | Likes 77 Dislikes 8

Yah, it's pretty bad and potentially pay to win.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Lootboxes should just be for cosmetics & skins, not something that give you an actual advantage against someone else.

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

If the loot box gives you trouble then its up to the player not the game.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

Lootboxes should just fuck off entirely

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be fair they only have up to six cards available for each class, hero, and ships. And the boxes can be earned easily without paying.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 17

"easily" ? Imagine how much better it would be, if the game wasn't designed around grind, in order to sell loot boxes.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

I get what you're saying, but you'd still be grinding if you couldn't buy them. I'm against paying for them, but it's not even hard to get.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

no, if there was no loot boxes there wouldnt be grind, there wouldnt be rares to catch etc, i still remember games before 2010

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Easily? Sure. But in time to obtain it's a huge difference. Any advantage at all is pay to win.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

While I see what you are saying, I respectfully disagree. I only played a few games and had enough credits to buy the biggest crate.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

And I sucked while I played

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Can anyone tell me if it’s good or not??

8 years ago | Likes 1080 Dislikes 9

U wanna get wanna be game devs.because that's how u get them

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

is ok

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just another cheap pew pew simulator

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Game is pay2win with buy-able lootboxes that contain cards for upgrading your heroes and vehicles.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It is! Lots of fun, slight learning curve.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not particularly, it's like COD where you just throw yourself at the enemy constantly. It looks much better but the gunplay is mediocre.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Depends, do you have terrible taste in video games? Does a really piss poor version of Battlefield with a Starwars skin sound good?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I like it alot. Huge improvement from battlefront 1. The space battles is my favorite. Classes need to be tweaked a bit.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Star Wars: Call of Battle-watch.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

... Battlefront came out in 2004, after the original COD but the MOBA style shooter was pioneered by Battlefront, not Overwatch.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You misspelled Quake there. However I was referring to their use of loot box and rank systems.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Mixed; wont preorder

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Really fun to play but they have a pay to win microtransaction system basically, which is going to kill it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

It's a blast so far, already got to max rank. But if you're a PC player don't turn on DX12

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The space battles are pretty fun but too short for me to be able to play as the hero ships

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mine wouldn't even register my controller. Tried to skip the intro and wouldn't let me sign in. Pretty good so far

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like it a lot but EA will ruin it with pay to win bullshit.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

gotta buy it then they have pay2win shit hard pass

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

It truly is a beta they do this to gun bugs and nothing else

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, with the first one they sold you the "construct" of a game that they slowly upgraded to "full game" with DLC over a year..

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I enjoy it. There are kinks to work out but otherwise enjoyable

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's EA, it has microtransactions.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Gameplay is really fun. I dont think its going to be pay to win, you can get credits almost easier by just playing the game

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It has some serious progression and pay to win problems.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

If you are looking for a better game than the last Star Wars Battlefront with a pay to win system, yes.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I couldn't even get mine to open. Origin kept shitting itself

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it is alot of fun and it is good they took all the mistakes and things they left out and fixed them all they actually listened

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's fun but impossible to win 40 player game mode as the Empire

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gameplay is fun, og moded battlefront 2 is more fun, but it is better than the last ea battlefront. But the crates are just terrible

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pay2Win

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

It's okay; I don't like the space battles.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

It lacks the simulation like feel that the 2005 version did

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Played it a fair bit, had a lot of fun. So yeah, it’s pretty good.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gameplay-wise it's insanely fun but it's already looking like it'll be littered with microtransactions to even progress in the game.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You're completely wrong. Experience allows you to add more things you can only get from crates. Progression is directly tied to crates.

[deleted]

8 years ago (deleted Nov 16, 2017 7:02 PM) | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

A number changes. In no way have you progressed door unlocked anything. You are completely wrong stop defending EA's shity microtransactions

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The gameplay is much better than the last one. But again, the loot crates will be an issue for pay to win...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I sucked at it and I still had immense fun. Granted, not sure how I'd stomach the crates in the long run, but still... amazing experience.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It’s “meh”

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Battlefront beta was super fun and then...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Minus lootboxes, gameplay, sound design, and graphics are fantastic!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Loot boxes make it so you have to pay to compete or grind like a fucker to get what you want.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's very good, crashes alot but hopefully that's just the beta, although dice games usually have shakey releases

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I got bored of the map really quickly.. that's not the type of map that got me into battlefield/battlefront

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its fun but kinda not a full game so i cant really decide if i want to buy it yet.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

p2w loot crates ruined an otherwise amazingly fun game. I'm still playing it tho while its free

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I hear the game is fun but it has an actual pay-to-win lootbox system which might ruin it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

First one was Phantom Menace, this one seems Attack of the Clones. Better by comparison, still doesn't make it a good one.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You have to try the space battle! Oh my god! The control is so much better and the whole game is so much fun!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No no its not

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

One month later...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s fun I just wish they had more than one map and game type available. Way better than the last game

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

[deleted]

[deleted]

8 years ago (deleted Nov 16, 2017 7:03 PM) | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

Lol it’ll be like the entire game is being released

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's pay to win

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

As a starwars fan, its REALLY good. As a gamer, its a pretty solid time waster. Some people just like hating things i think ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Same as the first one.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its fun but the Microtransactions are horrible, Angryjoe did a video on it earlier

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Its kinda underwhelming. Doesn't give you that Itch to replay. If you have Plasystation Pluss MetalGearSoildV is free. that game is hella~

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If it's good or not.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's not.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Had high hopes, seemed really repetitive and the only good mode was the dog fighting

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Starfighter mode is amazing. Tie Fighters and Y Wings are where it's at. Poe's X Wing and Maul's Scimitar are the two best Hero Ships, easy.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

it lacks the epicness of a battlefield 1 but is fun imo. 7 / 10

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Does it have the galactic conquest mode?

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

No but it's still really fun and a significant improvement over the first.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No but at least it has custom battles

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not from the 2005 Battlefront 2. Not like that. At least not yet.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

yes, it does.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

5/10. You get bored in 3 rounds.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

I lost 5 in a row and was pretty frustrated

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The core gameplay is great fun and has had me and my friends playing for hours. The loot crates and class levelling suck balls.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's fun as fuck.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I might just suck but I felt very slow and limited in space. Makes it easier not to crash but less exciting and easier to get shot down.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a little clunky but you get over it

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s lit but so was the the beta for the first so we’ll see

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Currently playing it. My son and I are really digging it. Wish they would extend it until the full game comes out though.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Honestly feels like a step backward to me. Only 1 of the guns felt good and the game just seemed really choppy. Just my opinion.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

I didn't experience any choppiness, but I too am curious i how mch the customization makes gunplay diverse enough

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good game killed by pay2win bullshit.

8 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 5

Explain

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Search

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Downvoting only continues the problem of people not searching new information while pseudo-intellectually demanding it from social media.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Microtransactions that improve weapon strength and abilities.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

The only way to progress is through lootboxes. They're very slow to get but you can, of course, pony up cash to get more.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My husband is enjoying it. Everything wrong with the first one they fixed, his only complaint is heroes cost too many points.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

So u only get them for a short while before match is over. Maybe they'll fix that.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Depends on the skill level. On theed I'm usually picking up my first hero by the end of the MTT part

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A few kill streaks, especially when grouped with teammates, can yield a hero with plenty of time to thoroughly enjoy

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Exactly. I just played a round where I got Darth maul by halfway through the mtt phase

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The heroes are pretty accessible after a few kill streaks, especially since the matches can last a while

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pay-to-win lootboxes. That should tell you everything you need to know.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

you earn lootboxes for free

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Well then, have fun playing for nine hours every day just so you don't get thrashed by the dude who bought $200 of lootboxes on day one.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

I'd only really be buying it for the solo play modes anyway.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

i mean, that's my intention.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

its a free beta and has just been extended go see for yourself

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

No preorders only got it two days earlier or if ur like me u could have told ea you never got the code for the early access

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, preorderers just got it two days early.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the actual open beta goes live.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

Nah, I’m a Xbox peasant and it just showed up for me to download

8 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 3

It's been up for download since last week, however a home tile did not appear for everyone. Searching the store would have allowed access

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can confirm

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm not a huge fan of Battlefield style shooter combat, but the space battles are Hella fun

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I was worried about battlefield style combat, mostly because i suck at it, but i think its much closer to the first battlefront

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a big Battlefield fan I'd like to say that the shooter mechanics in SW Battlefront are not even close to Battlefield

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Agreed, was playing the star destroyer assault this morning. So good.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Roll? Do they have roll? Like, full on roll?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There's a dodge roll, yes

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But I mean full control, like pitch, yaw and roll.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

its alright. looks decent, but gets boring pretty quickly.

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 5

A very small subset of maps and game modes are free right now. Not even all of the classes are available yet. It’s been a ton of fun

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well it is a beta with only one map for each mode and only 4 “heroes” so. . .

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I still played it for 16 hours too

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, I got to the level cap (10) in the first day, got 2 upgrades for each gun and unlocked every ability. Not much else to do with 1 map

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've heard it's really fun, gameplay wise, but its crate drop and progression systems might kill it.

8 years ago | Likes 493 Dislikes 4

But that's what sells. No one plays for just gameplay anyone everyone wants to feel like they're making progress. See ranked systems.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Your foresight is 20/20

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hello from the future. You were right. Entire countries have passed laws against lootboxes and things like that now.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It actually isn't that bad for the crates, I don't know about full release, but it's good.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Initially i think its going to feel like pay to win but after a month or 2 things will balance out as it seems not too hard to earn the good

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cards just through playing normally

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's not nearly as bad in Starfighter mode, which heavily favors you if you play the objective. Really slanted, otherwise, though.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I've actually heard opposite, that people were in ships that were fully upgraded and no one could even get close and they were decimating.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Personally, I have very little card buffs and consistently get in the top 3 for either damage, kills or MVP.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hindsight makes this statement so much funnier

that's every game these days though. shadow of war, a SINGLE player game, is going to have loot crates.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which is why despite loving the first game, I won't be buying it. Because FUCK THAT.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Oooo really sticking it to the man huh. It's single player. Not p2w. I'll bet anything you play games that still have crates

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

You'd lose that bet, and the game being singleplayer in no way excuses lootbox microtransaction bullshit.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which fucking sucks.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

But they're worthless

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This description can be used for almost every game lately

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

This one seems like a special kind of evil... like random progression that matters alot and you can only get it through lootboxes.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can someone tell me how this is worse than the overwatch one? I assume it is because the reaction is a lot more hostile.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

no the crates have cards that when applied to heroes can give a huge advantage, like game breaking and, they're hard to get a hold of unless

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

paid for

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Overwatch doesn't effect gameplay at all. This one does.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh, so legit pay to win. That sucks

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They love putting that shit In their games. It's really annoying

8 years ago | Likes 112 Dislikes 0

I prefer it over paid dlc though

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yes, it really is. I refuse to buy any games with it now. Loot crates, microtransactions, etc.

8 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

Then don't complain when they have paid dlc instead.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I wouldn't. I prefer paid DLC.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well some games are good with it. League for instance. Crates and transactions... all cosmetic though. And other champs.

If it only includes cosmetic items, I think it's fine. Upgrades that assist with gameplay though, that's a different story.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They are though. Especially loot boxes as it's pretty much gambling. You are guaranteed to get something, but that doesn't mean it is 1/?

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

You're not going to buy any games from now on then...

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I play Steam more now, they got a different scam going: pay for games that aren't even finished yet. Some turn out to be gems tho.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Im ok with that. Ive got several dozen of backlog games and Civ 5 that I could play for the rest of my life. Fuck p2w loot box bullshit

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Is it cosmetics only? If so who cares, they're cosmetics.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 8

No, the entire progression system is based around loot crates. All upgrades, all ability modifiers, all loot crates.

8 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

Huh, that sounds like a little game that Ubisoft came out with that went from 90% good reviews to 19% in less than a month.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

TL;DR There will be many more crates at launch, and challenges that act like Hutt contracts will allow more focus on certain aspects of game

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah I saw that. It's a relieving and positive development, but the system is still very much pay to win.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yup. AAA gaming at its best

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I did hear some rumors about more ways to earn specific drops for specific classes, but regardless the whole system is unacceptable as is.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

While obnoxious, there's nothing that you can get from the loot crates that gives you a tremendous advantage. It's all ability tweaks, etc

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 23

That doesn't change the fact that the only method of character progression/building is through rng loot crates. Its just shitty imo

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're actual progression is currently tied to the crates. Here's hoping they change it fir release or I'm out

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Dammit *your

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Boba Fett has an ability that goes from 50% up to a 100% damage reduction just with the quality of the star card. (1

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You can get lucky and get a lvl4 in the first crate or open 100 crates and only get a lvl1. That is true bs. (2

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm not a huge fan of the lootbox system in Overwatch either, but atleast their system doesn't affect the game balance at all. (3

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nah some of them are pretty strong.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 3

Not enough to be considered "pay to win"

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 12

If you can pay money to have an advantage over someone else then it's p2w

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

100% damage reduction whilst using Fett's jetpack, for example.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I find the Hero and Ships make a difference, troopers nsm

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have yet to see a freaking rocket pistol, so there's that.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I mean with enough credits you can craft an explosive bolts mod for officer
