Can you imagine Arceus coming out of a lil tiny Pokemon egg haha

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would love this if the whole thing would load.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

So, poke balls are really mankind's way of STRIKING BACK AT THE VERY GODS THAT CREATED THEM.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

More believable than scientology.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Nostalgia to Pokemon diamond and pearl on my Nintendo DS

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So you are saying they developed the equivelant of nukes before writing?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Its also canon now that Pokemon has multiple dimensions. The original and remake Hoenns are in separate dimensions as are Sun and Moon.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You're telling me a mew turned into magikarp?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Mew naturally knows the move Transform and can transform into any other Pokemon. So, yeah, probably.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I read all of this even tho I already knew it. love it.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Damn I am not up to date on pokemon.

8 years ago | Likes 129 Dislikes 0

I'll just leave this here. https://streamable.com/d8cxh

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be fair, games and show are different canon, the timeline of this is surely nonsense, and some of it is fan speculation.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Eh. A lot of this is speculation and fan theory anyways.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

This post has some of the least that I’ve seen.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hail Helix

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I always found it hilarious how in gen 3 the box legendaries started being literal gods. "Oh, what's this? Little Timmy caught a death god!"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm gonna ace that Pokemon history test now

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

@VisforYoshi

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Wouldn’t this mean that humans evolved from Pokémon, or that Pokémon created humans? Since they created the entire Earth

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Present day- people still have yet to figure out how pokemon make an egg

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Awesome!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So human are in fact just another pokemon type !

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

@Tagaroo tag pkm s

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

So, does it means humans evolved from the Mew species?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yup. There’s a book in Sinnoh indicating that there was a time where humans and Pokémon could not be distinguished from one another. /1

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Fascinating, thanks for the answer...but now I cannot stop but think that, in such universe, one could make pokeballs to catch humans...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So humans derived from Pokémon. Also, in the Japanese version, it also read that Pokemon and people married one another. No joke.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Mixed in anime stuff for Mewtwo + mega stones are supposedly a different timeline, but still awesome list!

8 years ago | Likes 330 Dislikes 3

Wasnt there a war in recent history? The one Lt Surge talks about?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah, His region and Alola's Region, Speculatively.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So... Their version of Vietnam, perhaps?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In short, yes...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I tend to like to think of Alola as Hawaii and Kanto, or wherever, i cant remember, to be Japan

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Didn’t Lugia have a baby in one episode? So Manaphy is the only leg to breed in games, but not the only to reproduce, right?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Both questions are correct. Based on the PokeDex entries, others can reproduce too like the Latis. 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also in the Pokemon Sun and Moon post game, Solgaleo and Lunala (who the Dex implies to be male and female) "reproduce" to make Cosmog. 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think most legendaries that weren't specially created like suicune etc, are normal creatures. Shamin and mew have/had full populations

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Then again Ash has met multiple suicunes

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Missed the fact that Arceus used the Unown to create the Pokemon world.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I think that Unown are literally Arceus' speech. He spoke, and his will came to be in a physical, alive form. They're invisible, but →

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

everywhere. They hold the fabric of reality together. Ruins of Alph is a distortion in reality, where humans were able to encounter Unown.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They're known as his thousand arms though.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Exactly. They "hold the fabric of universe together", as his 'arms' would. But they're letters - every single command Arceus ever uttered.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What proof do you have to support that? I do know that in movie canon they can manipulate reality in large numbers.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If Kyogre created the oceans how was it born from deep sea pressure? Wouldn’t the oceans have already had to exist?

8 years ago | Likes 234 Dislikes 2

What came first, the land or the oceans.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

They did but they were small preformed versions of the current Pokemon oceans

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

*gasp* Plot holes in my Pokemon lore?! No way!

8 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

*fan lore. This is really just a big collaboration of various lores and some fan theories that one guy tried to tie together.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He was expanding the oceans. There was already some ocean there.

Username checks out

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

Put a dark arrow through the first guy RIP

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Wow not bad @mictlantecuthli

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Other than the large gaps and unexplained appearances of legendaries vs normal Pokémon, this was pretty damn cool.

8 years ago | Likes 570 Dislikes 0

do large gaps make you butthurt?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 8

The mew evolved or devolved into different pokemon based on the habitats they lived in and its needs. Mew is the ancestor to all pokemon.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

... I read it all... was super confused the entire time

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I Second this

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

How where humans made again?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

iono mew evolved into human jesus maybe? or a distant relative to ape like pokemon and human.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No it was Pokemon Jeeeeeeeeezus.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Large gaps, just like real religion!

8 years ago | Likes 120 Dislikes 9

With vaguely defined rules that you are still expected to follow to the extreme!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Depends on your religion and denomination.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But Pokémon evolve

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

do they shit. They evolve using Lamarck's theory of acquired characteristics, technically. But that was proven false.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Then just like real evolution!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They need to make a new series tailored towards adults called "World War Pokémon" where Pokémons are weaponized. Just imagine one side (1/2)

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

Losing the battle then the CO says "RELEASE THE DRAGONITE!!!" Next thing you know he's going all atomic breath (godzilla) on the battlefield

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

That isn't that far off already.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wasn't this semi-literally the plot of Black2/White2? Except it was "RELEASE THE KYUREM!" and a city was destroyed?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It wasn't destroyed, rather it was frozen. Other than that yeah, it was kinda like that. There also is Pokemon Conquest, a spinoff abt war.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So the egg came first.

8 years ago | Likes 179 Dislikes 2

Haha

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You earned my upvote (:

This comment deserves so much more credit.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

No, Mew was first, WAIT! bulbasuar was first WAIT! Arceus was first.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

WAIT! Rhyhorn was first.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Glad someone said it ^_^

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bulbasaur was the best! He was #1 one!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Smitty?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know I sound like an cranky old man but I just couldn't play the games past the original 150/1. But this was a damn good read

8 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 9

The gold and silver remakes were the best. That's why they go for +$80 on eBay. If you find one for less, it's fake speaking from experience

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Gen 1 had a looot of bugs, gen 2 was the perfect one for me. Gen 3 was very polished as well, but started getting too abstract for me

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

never understood "muh gen 1" gen 1 was rubbish Gen 2 was when it got cleaned up. totally get why some1 would stop after gold/silver/crystal

8 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 12

I for the most part agree. I really like some additions in newer games tough. Its just Pokemon was about something different before

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can't. Just like 1 was rubbish to 2, g/s/c was rubbish to those after.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Well it depends. For a kid who likes the game it was amazing. For number crunchers and muchkins it was hell

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think stopping at Gen 3 is best. Gen 3 legendaries are far and away the best

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I stopped after gold/silver because U.S. college made me poverty. By the time I had money again it was 8 years later.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Nostalgia is a helluva drug. Most people just have the most fond childhood memories of gen 1. I agree with you though.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Daimond/pearl were the last ones I could really get into. They fixed the battle system, post game was engaging, and the remakes that gen ...

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Gen 6 Remakes of gen ruby and sapphire were my last was playing from gen one up. if i didnt sell my 3ds to help pay for my switch id buy G.7

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Combined well to make a rich game environment.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Gen 1 is literally the most unimaginative one when it comes to designs. It was rushed and many designs seem like fillers.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I disagree. The designs were blander and more samey but laid out a wonderful varied base to expand upon. I like most gen 1 designs.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I sense much butt hurt in you

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Nah. I'm just tired of genwunners always bashing on newe gens because they refuse to remove their nostalgia glasses and be objective.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Trubbish would like a word with you.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Trubbish/Garbodor aren't even that bad. Based on modern Japanese urban legends about trash coming alive due to toxic waste. Improved Grimer.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Improved as in what Grimer and Muk were supposed to look like if Gameboy graphics had allowed it.
