I quite liked Andromeda, critics be damned. It was far from perfect and it felt like some stuff was intentionally withheld for DLC or sequel bait (like the missing arcs, which meant some species I liked), but it was pretty fun and a neat continuation of the IP. Also, I didn't really have any of the glitches people complained about, so I didn't care on that front.

Par for the course for asari, actually. They have the longest lifespans of all the sentient species in the galaxy (with the possible exception of the Thorian), so it doesn't really matter what species the father is, they almost always outlive him or her. (Some krogan come close, though.) Some asari bystanders on Ilium in ME2 talk a bit about this.

Definitely a sad thing, but I guess that's something that all Asari who marry humans must bear with. (Or you could imagine Shep lives a bit longer because she was reconstructed with perfect DNA by Cerberus)

And/or a Liara-romancing!Shep gets "rebuilt" periodically, since Liara almost certainly has access to records of whatever tech-wizard-fuckery Cerberus used to ensure that Shepard came back "right", and it's gotta be easier when step one isn't 'Revivify a corpse that went through re-entry without the benefit of a ship'.

But, I recently played through the whole series with my partner, it was her first time seeing it... and she's, a LOT like renegade FemShep, in looks and persona, but with short-ish big hair... A lot like #34. So now, I just have a huge crush by association hahaha

I think they all end up being thought of as canonically shorthaired tbh b/c there's no real long hairstyles throughout the series. The best is only in one game and is shoulder-length at most lol. I'd have loved a long do.

It's a game where Shep literally is space Jesus with tons of plot armor. It's also way in the future and we have space wizards (biotics). Suspension of disbelief about military regulations is perfectly fine in my opinion. As far as the helmet goes, she can use the smaller mask variation that Liara, Jack and the others use.

It's why I really dislike that design as well. Shep is a soldier. She'd have hair that can fit in a helmet and not get twisted around her arm when she's in combat.

There is no way in a Vorcha's asscrack that you're gonna fit *that* amount of hair inside of a tight spacesuit helmet. I don't care how much you "coil" it, it's not gonna fit.
