I really hope we get to a point where human music is valued more with it's energy, flaws and live performances

For me, I think his original songs are better than his parodies. Absolutely love "You don't love me anymore".

I live under the zoo and he did a performance at the zoo a decade or so back when Star Wars Episode 7 was just coming out, and my then 7yo lost their damn shit over all the star wars shenanigans Weird Al got up to

I’m just picturing living in the basement of a zoo.

Hehe sorry I forget…

Seattle is kinda like San Francisco when it comes to steep ass hills

In this case the zoo is at the top of the hill and my apartment is on the downward slope

The kicker is that you have to drive through the zoo lot to get to my building

I’ve never been so hated by delivery drivers

Who ever first made a font where I and l are the exact same should have been punished to make an example to others.

They’re called “sans serif” fonts and they are the worst. In an effort to “modernize” fonts we’ve decided to make them less readable.

I love writing with fountain pens, and have even begun the slide to vintage flex nibs that allow for wide line variation for Spenserian script and the like. Vintage, not because it's hipster, but because when the rise of carbon paper and the need for a stiff nib, they stopped making them, and the knowledge of how to forge them was lost. You literally have to buy 80-120 year old pens for this

Some sans serif fonts have more pronounced differences between ’l’ and ’I’. For example a tiny bend in the bottom of the lower case ‘L’ and it’s also often taller than the upper case ‘I’.

Man, you'd hate the olden timey times. The reason the 1 and ! are the same key on the keyboard is because neither one used to be on a typewriter. You'd just type a lower case L for 1 and a period-backspace-single-quote for an exclamation point. I once had to fix a mailing database for a theater because the elderly lady who typed everything in used a lower case L for any house number or zip code with a 1 in it.

I guess I would ask then why does capital I lack the cross bars of its namesake beam though.

I am upvoting you for the interesting facts, but in my mind i am downvoting the horror story you have just unleashed upon me.

Oh, you like horrors? Some typewriters didn't have shift keys. Instead they had two sets of keys for upper and lower case. Two full alphabets out in front of you. Imagine manually moving your hands up at the beginning of every sentence.
