He's super sweet and loving but had horrible diarrhea probably from drinking sea water. It was very hot today and he was very dehydrated. I am looking for his owners please spread this and send this sweet boy home!

He was found at Wolfe's pond park on staten island. Sweet guy ran right up go me and my dog as if he knew I would help. :(

Queer ass

Gawd if I lived in that area I would so adopt him.

He looks really stressed. Bless his tiny heart. If you can't keep him, there's got to be a Corgi rescue in your area.

He was just so happy to be found and relaxed in my car and nuzzled and licked my hand as I shifted. :( A rescue is taking him after the hold

I imagine he's got a thick Staten Island accent lol

Probably abandoned by some TOO GOOD FOR THE ISLAND GUY...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Glad he found you! Crossing fingers he gets reunited with his family!

Upvote to help sending him home. Love corgis! Kudos for helping this one in need.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

I live in Alberta.. . They can ship him to me if they don't find the owner.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Did you try stopping at a vet or shelter to have him scanned for a microchip?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes I did

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I googled staten island lost pet. I don't see him listed anywhere, did you only post this to imgur, op?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nope I posted in 3 communities on Facebook, 2 websites, and brought him door to door in the area and to the vet and shelter.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You should post him here https://www.facebook.com/lostandfoundpetsstatenisland/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

He's up there twice. From me and from someone crossposting him from where I posted him in another community.

Congrats on the new pet.

Oh my goodness, poor sweet baby!! Hope you can find his owners, if not Corgis are such wonderful, sweet dogs. I'd keep him. Updates plz? <3

No one came for him but Louie's legacy is going to find him a good home.

Thats SO sad, we just put a deposit on a 6 week old girl, I couldn't imagine, Id be a total psych ward case if she was ever to get lost. :(

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know. :( i have a 1.5 year old pup so I feel the same. but I am sure he was dumped because his hips were very bad. Poor thing.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Umm... I’ll take him. California. Lol

Lived about 2 blocks from Three Lakes Park and the Staten Island Zoo in the mid '60's. World's largest reptile collection at the time.

Who the fuck abandoned a corgi?!?? I'm telling the queen on them

8 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 4

Calm down maybe he's lost

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He looks healthy, so my guess is he ran off after a seagull or whatever, and the owners can't find him

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

IKR?!?!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

His hips are very bad. He couldnt stand for more than a minute before sitting and his legs were shaking hard. I hope that isn't the reason.

My dog was found roaming for months in an industrial neighborhood. The theory is that he was a stud for breeding and got tossed due to age

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I very much hope that is the same situation here. He belongs with the people that love him.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I realize you meant you rescued a dog from this situation. I thought your dog got out and lost for a month! My bad!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh shit, I hope not. Though corgis do have a proclivity to get ailments like hip dysplasia. Cuz of their stumpy leg meats

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Yes and the beach is right near the dog park I go to and no one has seen him before there or in the neighborhood. :(

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

???? noooooo, you better tell him he is the best good boy ever.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I feel like this is a dumb question but didn't you try looking at his tags?

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 3

I don't see any tags.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

No tags no chip.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Man, I need to get to Staten Island. They're giving away free corgis!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

RIGHT?? If I didn't already have 3 pets and a rescue from Russia on the way I would be tempted to keep him. I do tho so he is at the shelter

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean...I'll gladly take him off your hands. :P

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

His hips are extremely bad he could barely hold himself up but if you do want him after the 72 hour hold he is at the SI care center!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Super tempting, however I'm all the way up in Oneonta, so the drive wouldn't really be a possibility for me. :/

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Someone will be looking. He's probably microchipped. High five for taking such good care of the adorable pup!

8 years ago | Likes 113 Dislikes 3

No chip I had him checked! I was really hoping he had one! ????

8 years ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 0

Did you report him to the animal shelter? Normally they take down your information and if someone comes look the shelter can contact you

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

I did. And then contacted a rescue for if we cant find the owner.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Is this pup at the shelter? I saw him on Facebook. I have a corgi and would hold this guy to his owner is found. I am originally from Staten

Diarrhea couldn't be ruled out as parvo or Giardia even though I'm pretty sure it was from drinking the salt water. I have two cats and

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I could afford giardia treatment for mr. Corgi but not for mr. Corgi, Mira, Livia, Kai and Lani :-(

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A dog in a rescue from Russia coming next week so I couldn't risk it

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He is! Louie's Legacy intense to take him after his 72-hour hold for his owner to return for him as well. I couldn't take him home since the

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Take him to the vet, see if he has a chip

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

First thing i did after walking around knocking on doors to see if anyone recognized him. No chip in him unfortunately. ????

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Does he have a tatoo on the hear ?? Maybe that could help. ( pretty sure you already tried tho')

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah no tattoo. Poor guy. :(

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why would he have a tattoo on his ear?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

That's what was done before dogs were chipped. Personal ID-Number tattooed inside the ear so the vet for example can look in a database.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Exactly what this gentleman said. =)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I noticed my cat has a tattoo inside her ear, probably something similar?
