The Azawakh is a loyal breed that originated in the Sahara Desert. Traditionally it is used as a guard dog, as well as a hunting dog due to their keen eyesight. Azawakhs require plenty of exercise, and because of their very low body fat and thin coat, they unfortunately don't handle cold weather well.

The Bedlington Terrier is a funny little dog breed that can resemble a lamb. Despite its cuddly appearance, these dogs are surprisingly good hunters, and will eliminate whatever rodent problem you may have. Luckily for those with allergies, Bedlington Terriers do not shed and are hypoallergenic.

Catahoula Leapord Dogs are actually the state dog of Louisiana, USA, and were originally bred to hunt wild hogs. With Louisiana having many wetlands, this dog has developed a much more prominent webbing between their toes compared to other dogs, allowing them to follow prey more efficiently. There are three distinct lines of this breed, ranging between ~100/70/55 lbs.

The Catalburun is originally from Turkey, and is considered one of the rarest dog breeds in the world. Being one of only three dog breeds that have a split nose, these dogs have exceptional senses of smell. They are excellent hunters and apparently are quite loyal.

The Fila Brasileiro is fiercely protective of its owner, family, and other family pets. Despite being such a large breed of dog (weighing up to 110 lbs), the Fila Brasileiro is surprisingly graceful. It was originally used on Brazilian plantations guarding against thieves, as well as protecting livestock.

Originally being used to hunt water fowl in Italy, this breed of dog has been around for centuries. A very common use for the Lagotto Romagnolo has since changed to hunting for truffles, a prized and delicious fungi used in high-end dishes. Much like the Bedlington Terrier, this dog is also hypoallergenic.

With Hungary being their native home, the Mudi was primarily used as a herding dog, as well as a hunter for rodents. Having a high pitched bark, they are great at alerting and protecting their family. The Mudi also has a wide array of colours, anything from black to white, marbling, as well as brown colours.

The Peruvian Inca Orchid is an unusual dog breed in the sense that it is a hairless breed. With this lack of hair, it is not recommended to own one in cold climates unless clothed. They are however apparently quite open to wearing sweaters. This dog breed is considered to be an ancient breed, and has records of being present with the Inca, dating back to potentially even earlier than 1100 CE.

The Tibetan Mastiff is a massive dog breed, weighing up to 160 lbs, and was originally used due to their protective qualities. Originating in Tibet, this breed has ancestors dating back 5000 years, and due to their heavy, thick coats, are not recommended for hot or humid climates.

Stories say that only ever one of this dog breed existed. It did not live long, making it probably one of the rarest dog breeds that have ever been known. It is not recommended to try to replicate it as it talks and you'd need to sacrifice more than what you get.

Makes me sad what we turned to pug into. Now i hate them.
