The amazing deadpool armor!

I wish I would have got this guys name, saw him at a local comic con in Michigan. Deadpool being my favorite super (anti) hero I had to get a picture of him.

That is one sassy pine cone.

I bet there's a way to make this suit so it turns into Spiderman when he's upside down.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

While I appreciate the effort that went into this, I think it looks dumb.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

wouldn't you want the scales on the arms to go the other way? its too easy to get under them and do damage like this

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

wtf

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I saw him too! I have a pic somewhere, it was at jafax 2016! He was the coolest. He has a fb, look up scalepool.

And he shall be called DeathHug for every recipient of his deadly love shall cry tears of blood from their multitude of wounds.

This makes me uncomfortable

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Where are the bananas?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They were traded for scales. Or did you misinterpret all the "banana for scale" comments?

@op -living in Grand Rapids - which Con was this?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This was Walshi Con in ypsi. It was just a small little thing. He's was the only person I took pictures of that day.

Dude is a friend of mine on Facebook, he goes to shutocon

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You just don't want me to sleep tonight do you.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When you gotta travel back in time with cable to stop Mister Sinister but you refuse to sacrifice style.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I feel like that may have taken awhile

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ain't nobody got no time for that!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks like shit tbh, there's a lot of great ways to translate things into medevil armor... scalemail bodysuit isn't one.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

At least, not this way. If he'd toned down the arms, left the head out, and added a tunic or something, then it could look good.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yeah the head looks stupid af

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I've hung out with this guy at a bunch of cons in Michigan. I have a bunch of pictures of him proposing to me with a grenade.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do you know his name? Pm me if you do.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Eew

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Yeah, this grosses me out. Not sure why

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Thank you, I thought I Was the only one hahah.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's called tryphobia or something along those lines. fear of many small holes. don't Google it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Oh I know what that is, and it doesn't exactly scare the shit outta me like a phobia. This is just 'icky' lol. No me gusta.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank you, I thought I Was the only one hahah.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If he made it himself, the cost is nothing, it is all about the time.

9 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 12

Can you make me a new house? It won't cost you anything.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Because that much metal is free.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Time is money, money is power, power is pizza, and pizza is knowledge, let’s go!

I watched all of Parks and Rec for the first time last year, and I think I'm gonna have to do it again. That quote gave me the warm fuzzies

What skyshroudace is getting at is that chainmail is actually a pretty cheap hobby, even when you start doing scale, source I make chainmail

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

If you can recast and not just bend/weld metal, then you can simply check industrial dumpsters for cast off steel

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I looked at doing chainmail a few years ago but it seemed pretty expensive to me.. mostly because I have no money. lol

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you make your own mail by coiling the steel wire you can make a full suit for around $25. The scales can be any recycled metal.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't ask him how much it cost, but he said it took about 3 months to make. I was impressed.

9 years ago | Likes 111 Dislikes 1

I wonder if he will SCALE any buildings later

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maximum effort

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Fuck your username is making me hungry.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did a captain america scale maille costume - a lot. It costs a lot.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did you hug him?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What Comic Con was this at?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Walshi con in Ypsilanti, it's a super small just fun get together thing.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I live on idea outside Ypsi, I haven't heard of this one. Do you know if we have any big local ones?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not local the only big one in Michigan is Motor City Comic Con. Then Ohio has colossalcon

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What did he make it out of? Metal? Plastic? I don't know how I'd go about getting the raw materials let alone assembling something like this

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Painted plastic spoons

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Almost certainly aluminum. You can spot the telltale color difference at the edges, and the coloration is Type II anodizing.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

it is anodized aluminium, It probably costed around 100 bucks or so in materials

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My guess would be something lightweight like aluminum. Unless he's heavily into re-enactments as well, then he might have made it realitstic

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You just link the scales. Pretty easy, just tedious.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably Monster can tabs.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was metal I know that much. I didn't see him or talk to him for very long. Just long enough to get the picture.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

looks like stainless rings with alloy plate scales. looking at about $3000 in materials to make one

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its aluminum scales with jump rings from http://theringlord.com/ by the looks of it

If I wasn't lazy I'd recreate this one next weekend but I don't wanna make the cutout to pose with

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 10

Why would you need to recreate it? It's great art, not potato quality. Who needs a different version?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

He means with a cosplay.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ahhh. That makes a lot of sense. Thanks.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*she but yeah I probably shouldn't comment after a few drinks. context tends to get lost.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ay, I've been on here drunk too, I hear yah.
