Mine hatched in the middle of multiple pokemon catches and server issues. Had to x-check my list and journal to figure out what I got. :/

It happened to me again later and my friend suggested sorting my Pokemon by Most Recent, which worked for me. In case it happens again :)

Yeah that's what I did. Arranged according to most recent and checked to see which one was missing from my journal catches.

Meh. I haven't gotten a 10k egg yet. But keep in mind, the higher CP prior to evolving, the greater jump in CP you will after evolving.

I had a growlithe that I powered up to its max potential for my level which put it at 700 something. It went up to over 1700. Works weirdly.

Yes. Your CP from evo is directly proportionate to CP gain for powering up before or after evo, but you spend less stardust powering up 1st.

No, I got a Ponyta up to 719, evolved it, got a 1047 Rapidash. I was hoping for double. I'm not sure how to determine the growth of CP

The arch at the top shows potential. Evolving a low cp/high potential will get you more than high cp/low potential.

Personally I think that's a waste of stardust. So what I do is wait for a Pokemon that's at 300 or higher and then I evolve, then I level.
