If only it worked that way. Middle-class white male boomers are mostly fine without SS or most other benefits. They fully own their house/land, and have steady pensions instead of 401k that pay way more than the SS payments. And yes, it'll hurt them to lose most of that to pay for their healthcare costs when ACA and Medicare and Medicaid are all gutted, but nearly as much as it'll hurt the ones that have absolutely nothing to begin with. If anything, they can last a few years, til Dems fix it.

It will hurt these people the most. I can afford to pay extra for gas and eggs. I'm not so sure they can all say the same. I should've specified. Middle class is a wide range, and I don't mean the lower middle class of retirees that are one "inflation" away from rejoining the workforce. I'm talking about the ones that are middle-upper middle class, and are secure enough that they don't need the Social Security benefits to begin with. Hell, my MAGAt dad is barely above lower middle, has 3 different pensions, and brags about never even having filed for Social Security. I've never even had a job with a pension.
