And one of its roles was to coordinate with Apaches, IIRC; provide targeting data for the heavier armed Apache to wreck shit better.
It doesn't need to be manned to do that anymore. Any support role it could have provided is covered by modern UCAV
The low altitude/low observable aspects are really better served by UAV. There's no reason for a single seater light attack heli anymore
Whilst that is true, that was still one of the objectives they wanted the Comanche to fulfil.
And I'm sure the experience they gained researching/adapting those systems to the Comanche were invaluable in later research.
The modified blackhawks used in the raid on Bin Laden's compound in Pakistan probably used some of the comanche's stealth tech.
