Hell of a delivery

Christmas came early this year. And me too just looking at the boxes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

This should work...

Sharkoon BW9000 - White Edition

Still can't get over how small those cards are

Samsungs M2 cards are freakishly fast. This one got a benchmark of 3324 MB/s. Got Windows 10 installed in 3 minutes.

The Beast

EKL Aplenföhn Matterhorn. This is what you get when you name your coolers after mountains.

Dat psu tho

Cable management by Stevie Wonder, let's see how this works out

She's alive and kickin'

Also this place looks a little dusty

Shiny LED strips

When they're not in the case they're used by the MIB as flashy things

Ahhh

This is what I live for

All in

Notice the blu-ray drive that somehow appeared?

A well lit window

Isn't that the kind of thing you want to see when you wake up in the morning? Who likes girls anyway?

"Warning - High temperature"

An attempt at humor

All Clear

Ready for take off

A Quiet Rainmaker Skin I wanted to show off

Pun intended

Well, there goes my life

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

is that even usefull to have such a beast?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This build will last him a lot of years if he maintains it right. It's also actually useful if you do editing and the likes.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How much you spend though...?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Crongrats for money

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

How much @OP?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yea, how much? @op

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone who recently build the exact same build: about 2000.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i did the math $1995

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ditto!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just finished building my own first PC, and I now I want to make another one. Stop it OP.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Got the same gpu, but really regretting not getting an i6 or i7 cpu.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I've seen a lot of Samsung SSD. I had a bad run with their devices live TV and mobile, are the pc parts reliable?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I've got a Samsung SSD in both my desktop and laptop. I've had no problems so far.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

how is it compare to WD?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I haven't used one of their SSDs, but I'll quite happily swear by Samsung

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Kids are pretty cheap in Thailand. Js

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Well, they are a horrible investment.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Looks great! Only suggestion would have been to make one of those HDs an SSD, though. They're too sexy to pass up imo.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

There is an M.2 Drive in that machine there! All bases covered!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So red LED's make it run faster. Blue LED's makes it run cooler and green makes it more eco-friendly.... what does white do?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

makes it more quiet

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How much did this cost?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Probably around 2500

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Might want to consider NOT putting your stuff on the OUTSIDE of the electrostatic bag.. next time you might not be so lucky....

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Ive been building computers for 10 years. maybe im really lucky, cause that's never effected anything for me.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To be honest, its never happened to me either... but it's still a good practice. At least it wasn't lying on the carpet. ;)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

True. Id hate to loose a ln $800 part for a dumb mistake

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Haha look at this nutcase still using an optical drive. What is this, the dark ages??

9 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 2

I bought an external DVD so in case of emergency I have it for both the main pc and the wifes laptop

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Literally gunna go home today and cannibalize the drive from my laptop for my new tower because I have a hard copy of win10.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i like my odd, it's great if i find old games or dvd's or cd's

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No but really, nice build.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

My buddy and I built computers around the same time, he accidentally ordered two bluray drives (or they just shipped two) and gave one to me

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

One of my friends had this happen, except with two GTX 980TIs. Basically $600 for free.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm assuming this was before the 1080 was around?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah it was a while ago.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had my build done, and still haven't installed it. That was two years ago.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

am broke and have no pc :C

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

...no PC, you'd have no use for a BD drive...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've got a case and I'm collecting parts for a build.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends on where you live?

For the US, this is close enough for the main components. Some are out of stock: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zX4ytJ

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Give a gold digger a tingle, how much did it all cost?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

i built an almost identical build with a better psu/mobo/case and it was only around 1800

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

*flicking water emoji*

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That's more money than i made in the last two years.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

get a real job

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

no job will pay you that little if you're working full time

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yikes. "Only". Thats why I want to build mine slowly, over time, in pieces. I have one monitor down. Almost there.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have thought about this myself but thinking about getting to the end, the first stuff would already be outdated :'(

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like your craftsmanship. I really need to commit to a build. What's a good forum?

r/buildapc was really helpful for advice when I built my first PC a few months ago.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I built mine a few months ago too. What's your build?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gigabyte mobo i5 6600k 2x8Gb 2400Mhz Corsair ram Sandisk 240Gb SSD and a 1Tb HDD Not bought my GPU yet. Thinking about a GTX 1060 6Gb. You?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

go for the 1060 it's a beast.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gigabyte mobo, Intel g3258, 1x8Gb 1400 mhz 1 Tb HDD and a gtx 750 ti gpu. Funny, I'm only now logging into imgur on it.

You could have put a little more effort into the desk itself... maybe something with an adjustable height? And ergonomic chair?

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Do you have any suggestions on ergonomic chairs for normal size people ?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can see from your build, that you are planning to spend many hours in front of the computer. Give a little thought on your posture as well

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

You're older you will thank you!

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Your*. And agreed.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I might even have been so bold as to try *the

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Your*

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know! I know! Effing autocorrect

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

wtf do you need 32GB of ram for?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

you don't. ever.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Chrome tabs m8.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have 32gb of ram in my setup but I do a lot of video editing/after effects. Does wonders compared to only having 16gb.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Would you mind telling me how big of a difference it makes? I'm planning to edit some videos for work and all I have is 8gb of ram. Thanks.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It depends on the type of editing your doing. I do a lot of 4k video, graphic animation and special effects. If it's just like 1080p and1/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks dude! Maybe I'll do an upgrade this month. Cheers!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No problem! And good luck!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/2 simple cuts, 8gb won't be a problem. On my rig I needed at least 16gb of ram to edit 4k videos properly.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Really it just makes everything run smoother and faster, especially in playback.
