A few years ago I dated an asshole who also happened to be an army vet. His father is dying right now and, with the weird way my brain works, I suddenly remembered an interaction with my ex that left me with a lingering question.
One night, he was worked up and possibly drunk, frantically searching through bins and boxes (we had just moved into an apartment).
He told me he couldn’t find his bag of teeth. I asked if they were his teeth from his mouth, he said no. I asked if they were baby teeth or adult teeth, he said mostly adult. I hesitated and then asked where and how he got a bag full of teeth... he said “When I was deployed. And don’t act dumb. You know how.”
He was the “explosive and dangerous when worked up” type, so I didn’t ask any more questions... but I didn’t know how he got them, and my imagination went wild.
Did he pull them out of other peoples mouths? Did he find them on the ground? Was he just saying stuff to try to scare me?
Fuck, why did he have a bag of teeth?!?

He was telling you that he was a tooth fairy. You had a good thing, @OP, and you blew it.

God dammit

Wait, you don’t have a bag of teeth? Everyone has them, not just vets.

Fuck, I guess I lost mine too

It seems like he was implying that he pulled them from bodies, which is considered a crime in the US army (assuming you mean US).

=\ That’s what I was leaning towards, it fits the profile. Thank you.

I have heard of it happening, But the punishment is VERY severe if caught.
