So USPS lost my package. Tracking says they put it in the mailbox on Monday, but nah bro it ain’t there.

Spent over an hour on hold, typed my tracking number several times (somehow you can type it right and their system receives it wrong, come on dude I typed 585, not 5585, I can see it right there) and finally got them to agree to look for it. Said they’d email me by Friday.

What even is this. Why would the post office call me at 10pm with some unintelligible guy asking me for my tracking number again because somehow what worked two days ago is missing a digit now? And you refuse to just email me so I can send the tracking number to you? And you’re my local post office, man, you know what time it is. And of course once I find it I can’t call you back because 10:30pm ain’t business hours. Why can’t you just email me and let me sleep like I need to?

Y’all had better find me my package. I just want to read my used book in peace.

This ain’t why the postal system is dying, but it sure ain’t helping.

Little while back my UPS driver apparently hit a time vortex:

Yeah they just know there’s not a lot we can do; we don’t decide who mails our packages so they don’t have to sell us on customer service.
