Saw what looked like an Assembly Hall on the front page. Nope, North Korea.

The NEARLY perfect symmetry (x-post from /r/interestingasfuck)

You can't kill a picture.

World Map Used in North Korea

With his North Korean Interiors project, the photographer Oliver Wainwright decided to document the very special architecture and interiors of North Korea.
The photographer visited this very closed country, and took the opportunity to have a look at the very kitsch and retro decorations, straight out of the Soviet era, adorning official buildings or theaters.

Visited South Korea and saw the North Korean side at the DMZ. Saw some d-wad tourists making faces at us from the other side.

Nice try, Mr Jong-un. By the way, what's a good nightclub in Pyongyang to hit up on a Saturday night?

The Royal Tannenbaums was an allegory for the abuses of a dictatorship.

Interesting ... in #18 they colored in red both Koreas, because they consider them one country.

#8 ... what's with the fans?

10 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

It has to do with the cult of personality thing. It's a sign to westerners that tells them 'everyone here is a fan of the Kims'.

These facilities are nice though but they are in Pongyang and only used by the elite and the people lucky enough to live in Pongyang.
