Gonna hurt your neck.

I'd be annoyed with how reflective that glass cover looks.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

super cool.

Roll to see if I'm getting drunk.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Are there any girls there?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

so you do your battles standing up it seems... we pass a cork board with pins between us while sitting on sofas. the future is here!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They can stand if they like, but the viewing angle is good enough that we all sit without any issues

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean its still gonna take as long to prepare as a bunch of A4 paper and some felt tip pens

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Man, the woman had a smokin' hot body. See True Lies.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can you please post or DM the setup for this?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just dnd? Or do you do anything else?

In my days we could resort to notebooks, pencil and a lot of imagination.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This looks uncomfortable.

8 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 4

Yeah, sounds cool in theory but you have to stretch wayyyyy too much to be comfortable

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Actually there isn't any stretching involved, players all have their sheets in front of them and just point to where they want me to move

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What did this build cost you? And did you build it yourself? Or buy it as a prefab?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There's glass over the inset TV, right?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes. 1/4" lexan sheet over the tv

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have you considered using a bottom projector?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We did, but we already had the extra tv, so it worked out well, there is a pine cover that sits nicely on top of the tv to make it solid too

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That tv is gunna burn out the way it's angled

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If it was a crt yes, an led tv can sit like that as long as it has proper ventilation, which it does (I used to do repair on those

But would you mind the OVER attachment? :T

Is that overly attached girlfriend?

Looks like it

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

How much does it cost to be friends with you?

8 years ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 1

About tree fiddy a second.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 3

The fact that you people figured out the hourly and yearly rates for 3.50 a second is terrifying. Never change, Imgur.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, multiplication is time consuming and expensive in this day and age.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

$12,600 an hour.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

$110,376,000 a year.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You just have to fight mayweather once a yr...

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

okay v

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So what are your raw thoughts on 4K?

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Works really well, more screen space to help declutter the windows needed for DMing, and it doesn't hurt that the picture is amazing

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Was more curious about picture quality - Visually worth the hype vs. 1080p? (I'm guessing yes, haven't seen by side by side yet though)

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

For a workstation 4k means 4x the space for stuff. Makes a huuuge difference.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wasn't even thinking about that aspect - sold on that alone.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ive ben using 4k monitors for a couple years now, they feel amazing to play on but the downside is not all games have 4k resolution (1/2)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Available in the settings. For watching netflix and stuff also the quality is well worth the price. (also been* in first comment)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also the one i use is the Asus PQ321QE if interested

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

for D&D i'd say there isn't much difference, mostly just screen real estate, but for video gaming and movies, yeah, its WAY better.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

D&D means? Thx for the reply about quality, appreciated.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Dungeons and Dragons

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And sweet setup BTW too!!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I never thought I'd notice the difference, but the jump from 1080p to 4k is like the jump between VCR and DVD. It's a huge leap.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wow, wasn't expecting that huge of a leap but thx very good to know

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have you tried a 120+ Hz screen? I'm curious if you would prefer 4k@60hz or 1440p@144hz

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That would depend. I have a 1080@144Hz and It's great for fast paced games, anything else 4k@60Hz is better.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In my day we used lots of 3x5 cards and graph paper - and we LIKED IT.

Now that's just messing with tradition!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Amd we walked 10 miles through 8 foot snow drifts, uphill, both ways without shoes! And we were thankful!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I use the backside of wrapping paper taped to a piece of cardboard. You can vaguely make out the shape of santa...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The best thing to use is a wet ease grid matt

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Boy, weren't you fancy?? We used regular old loose leaf paper!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

HA! There wasn't any need to be *savages*. :D

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Our DM doesn't allow phones or tablets, all pencil and paper

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's how I run mine. Its not a video game...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Honestly I prefer it that way. There is far too much room for technology to fuck up and stop working 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I cant count the number of times a player who keeps theor character sheet on a laptop or tablet had it die, freeze, get deleted, etc..

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Honestly, those are probably the same guys who forget, lose or accidentally destroy their character sheets. You can never win.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

And pencils, with a hand-cranked sharpener?

8 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 0

Sharpener? We just chewed on the trees until we got to the writey parts.

8 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

+1 for writey parts

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Did you also walk 20 miles in the snow just to get to school?

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Both ways were uphill

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Had to keep a potato warm, as it was your only source of heat.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

We also had to get up an hour before we went to bed, which was when we lived in the lake

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You were lucky to have a lake. We lived in a shoe box in the middle of the road

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That seems like it's be in the way. It's cool as hell bit where do you sit?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The chairs?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you councillor.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I sit in front of the workstation (moved the chair back a bit for leg room)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Works well? I feel like if it was a few inches higher you could get your legs under. But then it blocks the table..

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I'll be building a rolling cart for the workstation with a bit of legroom in it so it'll work better, this was a trial run with it

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks great. Happy gaming.
