I’m a moron

Dec 3, 2017 1:16 PM

Was cooking some chicken thighs for chicken fried rice, and olive oil splattered, and ended up lighting my long sleeved t-shirt on fire. End result: burns on my hand and wrist. Burns are the worst when you’re an idiot and playing with fire. Thank goodness the MPLS VA is awesome. On oral dilaudid for the next 3 days. PSA—Don’t cook while sleep-deprived!

TL;DR: OP got all fired up cooking chinese meal.

My daughter spilled a fresh cup of tea from the keureg on her chest. 2nd degree burns over a 5"x9" area. Luckily it's not going to scar.

What material were you wearing that would combust from hot oil!?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A cotton/poly blend

Did it actually combust or just melt? Hope it fixes up quickly.

Your shirt ignited from getting oil on it? Or it got oil on it and you put it near an open flame and your shirt caught on fire

Splatter that jumped from flame to my long sleeved t-shirt. Sometimes having a gas range sucks.
