The genetic mutation attacked Seth's body, causing his skin to break out in boils, his hair and fingernails to fall out, and his teeth to decay and fall out from acidic regurgitation. His mental well-being is also suffering as his personality has become more irrational and hyperactive, with bouts of sudden mood swings.

These changes have caused a rift between Seth and his girlfriend, who sadly has since left him for another man who wouldn't frighten or disgust her as he held her in his arm.

Times are difficult for Seth, as he has lost much in such a short amount of time. He feels as though his life will fly before his eyes.
