Ever since I've moved here always loved Cane's, enjoy!

As a Texan....what?

Donating plasma today. Dipped my chicken nugget pre-donation meal in this sauce. Mmmmmm!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Canes still doesn't make the original pink fry sauce tho. that shit came from utah. mormon's may be crazy but they know pink fry sauce

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Guess I don't need to go to caines anymore

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not from the USA... No idea what is Cane's. What kind of food they offer?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Now let's talk about that Canes lemonade!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

You are a fucking Saint!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Now what about the lemonade?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

im sure canes is over there measuring out their recipe in half and quarter teaspoons

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Louisianan/Caniac here. Add 1/4 tsp of Tabasco to the recipe. It gives it JUUUUUUUST the right amount of oomph.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Texas? We have them in Arizona, too. Right next to my house.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Canes here in Vegas,NV. I thought that I wasn't tasting Mayo in the sauce, but Ranch mix instead? Would this be why recipe tastes off?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks like spicy fry sauce to me

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When I worked at Wendy's they used mayo and ketchup as the "special sauce." Except when the manager ate mayo in the fridge I guess.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Im not from TX but isn't Canes from Louisiana?

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

well btw, just btw, Canes was founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana so just FYI..... don't hate me

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 5

Yep at LSU to be more specific

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Texas for the win, if you haven't already check out whataburger...

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Whataburger is an institution!!!!! Place is fuckin awesome!!!!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have many, many times. Patty melt ftw!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Literally anyone from Utah knows this, every restaurant that serves fries also serve "fry sauce" in UT.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Actually fry sauce only has mayonnaise, ketchup, and vinegar.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh, my mom always made it with another sauce...oh well it all tasted good!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I miss fry sauce, but I'm coming back. Perhaps not just for the fry sauce, though.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When I visit I buy a lot of fry sauce and granny sycamore bread, and freeze it, so I have it for a long time.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We get it, you conceal carry... Oh wait. Sorry I saw Texas and assumed this was going to be about guns.

10 years ago | Likes 311 Dislikes 70

I guessed you... jumped the gun, there?

10 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Bang, punchline.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We open carry now cause our dicks are small

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 41

Well we found the self-conscious guy... Poor fella has a small dick.

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Ha mr.small dick

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

We bbq more then we shoot.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm from Texas and I thought it was! That or a stabbing.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

There's a cane's here in MN too, thanks bb!

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

They had it when I lived in Columbus. I've gone vegetarian since but I swear if they opened one near me I might cross back to the dark side.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where in MN? I've only seen commercials!

There's one on the U of M Minneapolis campus, not sure where else.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you love in texas go to a good chicken spot.

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 4

Ugh typo but I think I like it better.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Chicken Express

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Chicken express is good. But I always say find a place with some trunk rattling and hood rats about. That's the good southern chicken is.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn skippy!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

318 checking in. We've had the recipe for some time now, and we put it on ERREHTHANG.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Hey 318! I'm about to move from east 318 to west 318.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

All of us in East 318 are sad to see you go. Shreveport?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep! Got myself a web dev job! Now I just have to cross my fingers that it doesn't flood again tomorrow.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm stuck sysadmining (I verbed a noun WOOOOO) out here in the boonies. Stay dry!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Garlic powder or garlic salt, this is need to know

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Canes started in Louisiana, recognize

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

@OP I will never be able to repay the debt I owe you for this. This may make it out of usersub, but you'll never make it out of my heart.

10 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 4

I made it last week and ate it with my roomier within two days.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm honored :)

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

The guy that posted this is likely millions in debt due to a contract he signed when he was hired.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's fitting, since the guy making the tweet won't be able to pay off his lawsuit debt

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Depends on whether or not he signed an NDA. That'd require competent management.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I would imagine any food chain with a high employee turnover rate would include that as standard. But then again, I imagine a lot of things

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Excuse me, your honor? Yes, I need to file a lawsuit against "JanniAreYouOkay"

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

So old. And it's not just in Texas.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

Do people really not realize that the food is all premade at fast food restaurants?

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 9

The sauce is mixed in-store and the chicken is marinated and breaded in-store, so pretty damn fresh for fast food.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think it's about sharing a "secret" recipe not showing people that restaurant uses pre made stuff

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Cane's makes their sauce at each store, also fresh lemonade and honey mustard. The only thing that is "pre made" are the fries

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm fairly certain they make the sauce at each Cane's location.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They do, the managers are the only one who are allowed to do the mixing, and you have to stay out of the back until they're done.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And?

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

So no casual employee would actually have any idea what goes into the food. They just unpack it and put it together.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

He probably signed a non disclosure cause

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I guarantee they probably large batch make this in store. Ketchup and mayo are so damn cheap in bulk, cheaper than manufacture.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's true lol

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

that really depends on what restaurant you are talking about, there are plenty of places that still make their stuff in house

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah but smaller chains still make some things in house. This is a very common recipe for chicken dipping sauce, and (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

After decades of more and more demand for convenience, culinary arts are dying.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I eat at mom and pop restaurants when I can and I also cook at home. That junk fast food isn't doing it for me anymore. Convience though....

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not alot out there that do. Enough to keep business open but passed that nope. Not saying there aren't any making money, but most...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it is very sad to see. I know what you mean. Convience and cheap prices is what makes fast food popular.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

NDA does not end when you leave the job, even if you are fired.

10 years ago | Likes 267 Dislikes 7

Most fast food joints don't make you sign an NDA, I assume. I mean, maybe they do. I've never worked fast food.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

NDA = Non-Disclosure Agreement

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I've never had to sign an NDA at the fast food places I've worked.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Do you really think GetEmJan gives a shit?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So, they make people in the food industry sign NDAs now? I find that hard to believe.

10 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

They do if there's a secret sauce or some other proprietary thing that they employ other people to make

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did when I worked at some restaurants.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I worked at in n out and they made everyone sign nondisclosures, it's for everything the burgers, the fries, our pos system.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

They would only come after you if you started your own restaurant and used their recipes.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's rolled into the paperwork you sign when you're hired.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I'm not saying that they do, I'm just stating, that if they protect their "secret recipe" with a contract, it holds even if you leave.

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

Except that this recipe has been on the internet far longer than this post. And look at the damn ingredients. Mayo and ketchup and spices.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Fancy sauce

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know this company, but if they have a special sauce there is no fucking way some low level employee would know the recipe. I'm 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

sure it comes pre made from some distributer 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nope. Canes actually makes their sauce in store, but I'm pretty sure only the managers are allowed to know the recipe and mix it up.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Really? That seems unintelligent on their part, but still I doubt a manager would do something like this

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but I really doubt the managers actually try to keep the measurements hidden from the regular employees. That requires giving a shit.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would think though that of all people the managers would be the ones that actually give a shit

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But Canes is from Louisiana

10 years ago | Likes 376 Dislikes 4

Fycking Sennd bivgett

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

As a Louisiana College Student with a Canes across the road from campus, the chicken is the worst I've had. I go for the sauce and fries.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 10

No

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

You shut your mouth.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't be an asshole because you can't handle Louisiana spices though.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Jerk

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The ones in phoenix are pretty bad. They're expanding too fast.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not necessarily a canes defender, I'm just a lifetime proud Louisiana resident.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As a Texan, I'll be there in Lafitte next week to fish. Love me some Louisiana :)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's something to be proud of, especially from a culinary standpoint. I try to make it there once a year just to shop for file and sauce.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The best meal I ever had in New Orleans was at the brothers' chicken on royal at 2am. Fried gizzards, crawfish pie, dirty rice. (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I work at one in Virginia and that guy was definitely not a manager (the ones who make the sauce) I asked my manager and he showed me these

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

mixture packets that they have that contain the "secret ingredients" so even the managers don't know. (2/2)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Charlottesville?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'll go ahead and try to fix that whenever I figure out how to edit on mobile.

10 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 2

I mean it works because TX has Layne's which is basically the exact same thing.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

I know this is tantamount to heresy, but I'm an Aggie and will take Cane's every time

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As an Aggie, I'll give you a pass. Gig 'Em - Class of '11

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Texas > Not Texas

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 6

you can't edit the submission itself, go into your uploaded photos and see if you can edit the photo itself there. Some changes carry over

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We were long due for a series win, gotta give us at least one every once in a while.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've gotten food poisoning from that location twice :)

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fool me once...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I grew up eating there. This is just in the past two years that it happened.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Never been to the original location but I worked at one on veterans in Metairie in 2007

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They still have them in Texas. We have them here in SC too.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

BINGO. I live 10 minutes away.
