Marzipan is my latest rescue.

Yeah I kept her. This is her now. She is the best kitten I've ever known.

Sophie. 1 of 5 kittens rescued from a person that was threatening to drown them in a creek. I paid a LOT of money to get these kittens from this person. Ended up trading them for a couple months worth of beer and cigarettes. I hate humans.

Sophie now.

Amelia was one of the litter almost put in a creek.

Amelia now. She is perfect just admit it.

Gaius was another littermate. He was really sick when we took him. Lots of vet bills later:

He is my main dude. I ended up keeping the two sickest of the litter to make sure they got proper vet care.

This is Calpurnia aka Mini. She was less than a pound at her 8 week checkup and by far the sickest of the litter. We've called her Mini ever since.

She still has a lot of breathing issues and pops when she purrs. It's cute/sad but I will love her as long as she holds on.

This is Meredith. She wasn't supposed to live. She was on the table to be euthanized when I stepped in. I kept her in ISO for almost two months before I was able to bring her home. She is completely feral and almost all of her teeth fell out as a kitten and never came back. She has a cleft palate and breathing issues.

Meredith now. She still won't come near us, even though it's been over 4 years since I brought her home. She put me in the ER last year when I tried to take her for a breathing treatment, but I don't hold it against her.

Tiberius was another one on the euth table when I stepped in. He was brought in with a sibling that didn't make it. His eyes were swollen shut, upper respiratory infection, and anemic from fleas. (which you can see some of the evidence of on his blanket in this picture) I nursed him back to health and he is STILL the only cat that had to be kept in the dog kennels at the animal hospital I worked at. He is the most hyperactive and smartest cat I've ever met.

James Tiberius now. He is a giant monster of a cat and rules this house with an iron fist. No one fucks with Tiberius.

Found this guy at the bottom of an 8+ foot drain pipe in my yard. Took me two hours and three leashes tied together with a slip knot at the end to get him out. I found him a perfect home that named him Dr Yueh. He does have the imperical mark of conditioning, afterall.

Yueh now. He is older than this now but this is the most recent photo I took of him when his new family brought him in to the clinic for shots.

Dog tax. Caesar the day we got him. Note the tear stains and yellow paws from urine burns. This picture breaks my heart every time.

Caesar now. Happiest and most spoiled dog in the world.

Tiberius kinda looks like Hitler.

God's work right here +1

Didn't god allow these animals to be tested that way? If your saying the person who rescued them is Godlike, I'd agree.

Hello I love you!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

God bless you. May you save many more.

Here's hoping. it's my life goal to have a cat rescue/sanctuary. I quit my job to go back to school for my license.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Meredith looks like a sassy bitch. +1 op

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She is, truly. She gives zero fucks about anyone's feelings.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tiberius is such a badass name for a cat. They're all beautiful! Congrats, Op, and thanks for being awesome. =)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you. Full name is James Tiberius Kirk because his blue eyes reminded me of Chris Pine not gonna lie. :)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You are honestly the best human to care so much about animals. Thank you. You da real mvp of life

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I love what you do, you are awesome !

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you! I would have more if I wasn't going to vet tech school. I've poured all my money into getting a degree for a job I already had...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A true hero. They all look beautiful.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

OP you are a saint! Also, can we talk about those donut pillows??? So cool!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

thank you! I made the animal cookie ones and bought the donut one. :)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is awesome :)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love you for this.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thank you! It was my dream as a child to help ALL THE CATS. <3

my fav was cesar

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In the last picture of that cute as all get out puppy, you said he had urine burns...what is that?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He was rescued from a puppy mill situation. They left them in kennels in their own urine long enough to create chemical burns.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Holy shit. That's so messed up. Thank you for explaining though.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Got something to receive donations?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

No, but thank you for asking. <3

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Husband and I are fostering a kitten my SIL found on my parents' farm until her and my brother can get the house settled c:

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's the best thing in the world to have a kitten running around then send it off to a loving home. Have fun!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Humans are great, but PEOPLE, on the other hand, suck.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They all look so desperate in the beginning, and they look so comfortable later on... great work :) you're like the champion of cats!

"I am Casey, Queen of Cats"

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You have no idea how many times I've been called that, actually. It's the best compliment I've ever gotten in my life. <3

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Like Karl, king of ducks, it has a nice ring to it. Wear your title responsibly :)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wear it proudly. <3

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

GREAT names - Calpurnia,Tiberius, Caesar. Who would NOT kick feline ass with names like those?!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you! Then we have Meredith, Marzipan, and Scrawberry. But we don't talk about those....

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

HOLY SHIT. I have a split faced Tortie named Shira Calpurrnia...

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

My princess Purrnia: d

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

She's a perfect little lady cat. <3

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She's kind of a fat bitch. lol Super moody.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

She's a calico. I've found they all have strong personalities. Which is why I love them so much.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have a second one with an opposite face! :)

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We have 9 of our own, even though we only rescued 5. Teachign people to spay their cats sometimes is a harder job than just rescuing them.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ive paid for everyone I've rescued to get their shots and fixed and they have to come to my work to get it done so I can monitor them. 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm a helicopter cat-mom. That, and I'M BROKEEEEE

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also, 10 is my dream number. We have three empty bedrooms I just fill with cat stuff. When I get finished with school I'm getting 4 more...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, every time my wife helps with finding a cat a home, we deal with the vacinations and neutering. Not giving anyone that can have babies

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But I admit I wish we hadn't had to rescue this many. Finantially, it's very draining. Also very time consuming.

Well, if you have a spare room, they aren't really that much of a threat. Usually, feral cats won't attack unless they're really cornered.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Which was exactly my mistake on that day. She clearly wasn't having any of it and I pushed her too far.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

She's not dangerous usually. She keeps to herself and gets regular vet care. I just wasn't take enough precaution on this particular day.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

She eats normal cat food and will more than likely have a shortened lifespan, but I thought she deserved a chance to be happy for a while.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

You're good people. I'm sure she's happy, and I'm glad you gave her a chance.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same. I love her more than most people can understand. I want to squish her and love her. She's not that kind of cat but she needs love too.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You are a fantastic and kind person. As a fellow cat lover, I thank you for all you do for kitties ♡

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's possible to socialize some adult ferals. I have a former feral. It took 7 solid months of doing EVERY socialization trick correctly 1/?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He went from terrified claw monster to my cuddle bug shadow. He's also the brightest pet I've ever seen. Not cat, pet. As in, he was 2/?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Smarter than my dog. At 6 years old he learned 7 different commands / tricks. Moral of the story? Adult feral + sustained effort + kitty 3/?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I try every single day. She was obviously abused. She runs out of the room if I make any noise. She does get on my lap occasionally.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

smarts + good ole fashioned luck = cat that won't try to hospitalize you. If you're unlucky (i.e. the feral ain't all that bright / 4/5

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What kind of horrible person requests money to NOT put kittens in a creek?! WTF?

8 years ago | Likes 102 Dislikes 0

You are such a good person for rescuing the kittens. I love you OP

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

A complete asshat.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Exactly. Don't use someone's overpowering love of kittens against them. It was worth every bit of it. All 5 and their mom got great homes.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's great. I'm sorry you still have to deal with this person ????

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

She didn't want them but then acted like they were her children when I said I would take them. She held them for ransom until we paid out.

8 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 0

Hold her under the creek until she stops moving, give CPR until she revives, ask nicely for the kittens, repeat process until she says yes

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Disgusting

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I hope humanity is not judged for individuals like that and instead by your actions OP.

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Me too. Thank you. She's a first-class POS in every way so this was nothing new. (She's an in-law that I still have to deal with regularly)

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

You should poison her, just a little bit...

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

yikes. poor you. but glad you were around to help the kittens.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

How much?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Two months of groceries, beer, and cigarettes and 6months of flea meds for her dog, that she promptly put all on him at once when I left 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

then proceeded to curse me out because I wouldn't pay the vet bills care of her sick dog.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How much is that in dollars tho?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

All in all we ended up spending over $1000 just to get them to our house and begin their vetting. They were sick and neglected as well..

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hope you pushed her in the creek after and got your stuff back.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

No but we did cut off all ties with her after that. She still calls to cuss us out once a week and call us trash from a blocked number.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Lol WHY? "Oh gosh, it's 4 pm, time for my weekly cursing" wonder why she would do that

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Because we've 'never done anything for her or the family' and are 'selfish.'
