I make my kids. I don't care you live here with me, you will be tidy. I'm white trash they don't need help to become hoarders.

Duvet, that's all you need.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Yep, I do. I'm a unicorn.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A kid might. But an adult probably doesn't make the bed EVERY morning, as in 100%. I do it 0% of the time, my friend does it 30% of the time

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I make the bed every night before I get in it. There's nothing like a made bed but who has time for that shit in the am, not me.

9 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 1

Ditto, at bedtime. It ain't happening in the morning. Just nope...

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I make mine daily. One blanket. Easy. Start the day with structure and some form of control in my life. Its actually a big sleeping bag.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I do. Its the only thing that helps me start each day without giving up.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Make the bed for company or sheets change, only. Otherwise, I just pull up the sheets to make it flat

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

... so I don't lose my underwear while dressing.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I do it every day. Hate to come back from work and see a total mess on the bed

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I make my bed. Then sleep on top of all the covers with a separate blanket. Then it's always made! :)

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Did this as a kid once haha. My mom got wise to it pretty early though and made me use the real bed covers.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I live out of home! No rules for me! :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I do it every morning. Mainly because it helps me not to just get back into bed when I come home. So it helps me be productive.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ONCE PER WEEK

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a dog owner, yes I do, I have too or I'll have sand all over the bed at night

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same here

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do, and then I read articles saying that it's actually cleaner to leave the bed unmade all day.. can't win

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I only make my bed on weekends, before I go out, just in case I bring a woman home with me. Hey! It so DOES happen.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I make my bed whenever I change my sheets. Other than that it's always justs struggling to climb in under wherever the mound of sheets is.

9 years ago | Likes 113 Dislikes 2

Same

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I read mound of cheese and got really jealous. I need more coffee before imguring.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

So like 4 times a year?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I am a once a week sheet washer.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Get yourself a duvet. You'll thank me some time after you get it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Rock on!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me too! Or I'll half-ass make it if everything gets too tangled to get comfortable.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Never.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do, I'm in college so it doubles as an extra reading spot/ sofa.It also makes the room look bigger and more welcoming to others

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Every day. If I missed, I'd have to make it before I went to bed at night.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Google "Navy SEAL Texas graduation speech".

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i dont move when i sleep. Like at all. Flip corner back, get out, flip corner into place, bed made Not a wrinkle. Its weird but very handy

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Lucky you. I usually toss like crazy.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree I sleep in a curled position and just flip the cover over and back and maybe rearrange the pillows

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I am like that. Bf on the other hand somehow folds all the covers on top of me and untucks even the fitted sheet.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Omg, my BF does this! Like wraps himself in a blanket burrito. And I'm left out in the cold. Drives me nuts

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol that would drive me crazy lo

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It did at first but now I realize I get double the blanket layers and never having tugofwar over a sheet when I'm cold.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not even a roll or a flip? Or to toss blanket off cause to hot? Or leave one leg out? I find this impossible

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

i sleep on my right side... i put a glass of water on the bed behind me once as a test and when i woke up.. still there.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If my back is out, or i'm sick, i move around because im not comfortable... but other than that... like a corpse.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Psychologically it keeps me sane as part of my routine. Cause it is really nice to come home to order

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

IM NO MYTH

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Military life made it a habit for me for a long time.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Funny, it did the opposite for me.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't any longer. I did for a good while tho

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I am the messiest human being upon the earth, but an unmade bed offends me. Might be cuz I live in a one-room apt.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope. I pull the doona to the foot of the ged to allow the bed it to air during the day.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

*Bed not ged, sheesh.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not sure why u were DV'ed, sunlight & letting the bed dry out kills dust mites & such, so pulling back the blankets is more sanitary. UV4U+1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Real talk: Making the bed every morning can help your psychology because the first thing you do is accomplish something

9 years ago | Likes 88 Dislikes 3

Buuuuuullllllllllshit.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

Yup! Tim Ferriss talked about this and now I do it every morning. Start each day by taking control and bringing order to something.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Real talk: Maling your bed every morning traps heat and moisture in your bedding creating perfect conditions for dust mites.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes! I started doing this a couple of months ago. I don't feel so overwhelmed with housework during the day

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But ur also creating an ideal environment for dust mites & such

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Thank you! I leave mine open to air and be exposed to sunshine for at least a few hours.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My accomplishment is breakfast and then I feel sad cause fat.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

True dat.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dragging my sleepy ass out of bed into the shower at 6AM is as close to an accomplishment as I cant get

9 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

Hitting the snooze button is accomplishment enough for one day.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hitting the snooze button is accomplishment enough for one day.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Its a useless pat on the back. You'll just un-make it every night, ain't no reason to make more work for yourself.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Doesn't matter, most endeavours are useless, but the small act of changing a state of disorder into order can create small dopamine response

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Sometimes making the bed is the only thing I manage to do right in a day.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But my point is: is it actually "right," or just "more bullshit you create for yourself."

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At this point, I don't really fucking care. It keeps me from being a total piece of shit.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If by "make the bed" you mean fling the doona over it, then yes.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Doona?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Sorry, a doona is an upside down duvet. More accurately, it's what we call duvets in Australia.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Straya seems to have its own language.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I do. Made it just this morning, extra useless pillows and all. It's nice to get into a nicely made bed each night.

9 years ago | Likes 499 Dislikes 8

We do too but just to keep the asshole cat from tracking grit in there.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just make it right before I get in.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same here!!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Never have to make your bed if you never get out of it

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Every morning! Wife and I do it together.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like the messy beds, then all my pillows are in the appropriate places on each side for my legs and I just have to jump in and cover up.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It makes me feel better when I do too

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So then make it at night before you get in

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

So then make it at night before you get in

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

I think the establishment of order adds to your Chi

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well bed bugs will have it easy walking over your bed. I always make a huge mountain out of pillows and a blanket

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I have been making may bed for 30+ years, no bed bugs. Clean your sheets

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I make my bed while I'm still sleeping in it. Makes it easier

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Truth.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Useless pillows actually induce rage in me. I hate dealing with them.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I make it while the shower heats up. There are 24 hours in a day choose what you want. I like to have a nice bed to get into

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's nicer not having to remove a dozen "useless pillows" before getting in. Lift duvet, slide under, done.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

yeah but it increases the likelihood for bed based parasitic occurrences.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ditto. Apparently making it in the morning is a good way to boost productivity BC you start the day off with an accomplishment

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 4

Had a college professor tell us once, make your bed each day, that way you know you have at least accomplished one thing that day.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It also prevents me from napping (which can be good and/or bad for productivity)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Oh I agree. Nothing more satisfying than a well made bed... except perhaps getting into a well made bed

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me too. Love pulling those covers back and diving right in to a nicely made bed.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep, plus we have a cat and we don't want for all over the sheets.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fur*

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same here...mostly because when I wake up it looks like a tornado hit my bed

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same here. I destroy the bed

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Making your bed encourages dust mites and other bed bugs to move in.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Clean your fucking sheets

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Wouldn't have to clean them so often if you left it messy... no seriously, you trap the sweat in and it gets stanky faster.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I clean my sheets twice a week. Also I make my bed after I come back from riding, so they are aired out for a solid 5 hours each day

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That's pretty hard nice shit

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You realise that making your bed makes it less hygienic, right? Beds need time to air off and let the sweat out.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Yeh... that's what I said...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Sorry, i should have not said actually, mucked it up.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It doesn't need that long. Let it air out while you take a shower and make it when you're done.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

clean your fucking sheets dude. Buy 2 pairs

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yeh, cleaning sheets regularly doesn't magically mean you don't sweat over night ;)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No it doesn't... that's why you wash your sheets. How is this a foreign thing?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Same, I don't want to struggle with a bunched up mess when I'm trying to go to sleep.

9 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 1

i hate getting into an overly made bed. The first thing i do is make a bunched up mess.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't make the bed, but I don't mess it up either. I flip the cover to get out, and flip it back.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I make a disaster of the bed too. I've scared my husband once cause he didn't realise I was still in bed under the pile of sheets

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

This makes my heart happy

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I sleep very still. So in the mornings all my sheets and pillows are in the same position as when it's made. Just flip covers back and done!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't want to struggle with a bunched up mess when I'm still tired and have to go to work

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To each their own. I wake up a few hours before work anyway.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fair enough!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you don't mind me asking, what do you do in those few hours? I don't rush, but I hate having down time in the mornings before work

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Have a couple cups of tea, watch an episode of a show, get things tidy so I can relax after work.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Given that my first act in bed is to wriggle myself into a big cushiony burrito, it seems kind of redundant.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

For me it's more about my mental state during the day. I've found it helps me feel less depressed, same as getting dressed even if not 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Leaving the house at all during the day. Makes me feel like I'm doing something and it starts me off of the right foot for the day 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

To each their own :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah! My husband is like you haha. It's just a matter of personal preference I was just sharing why I like to make my bed each morning :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0
