Saucey sauce please, I would like to hear this magnificent beast

The turning speed must be 10 years to the dime....lol

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So it doesn't have to stop at red lights then....?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have the feeling it has the turning circle of a freight train.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Anyone else notice he ran a red light there?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"Hey slick we ever do the Texas two step?"

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Loud, uncomfortable, dangerous, impractical, can't steer and guaranteed to fail after 50 miles. You call this guy a genius?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok. I want to see it turn.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks more like a work of art than a functional piece

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yeah I certainly wouldn’t want to ride that thing

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I predict catastrophic mechanical failure at some point. Soon.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is a light aircraft engine.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He made the bat cycle but with shittier tires?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Let's see it turn

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is there a link with sound?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What’s the turning radius on this badboy? It looks like I’d have time make a 3point right hand turn at an intersection.

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

A radius so massive it would render this bike useless in Scotland. I'd hate to try and turn this round manually.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

im sure you'd have to walk it through any corner. It's just supposed to look pretty going in a straight line.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

'bout 3.50

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Very cool build, that's for sure. However, for me riding is all about taking corners and that's not gonna work with this thing.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

well its definitely not intended for actual riding. just a show build. it is pretty neat tho.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What is this and where can I buy one? *looks ups bank account* Where can I see where to buy it.

7 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 3

First thing with a motor on it that I have no desire to drive. The whole design seems aimed at killing you if something fails.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It won’t be running at all on the streets of NYC. Unless it was being carried away...

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you try riding that thing, you and it will both be getting carried away

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 333 Dislikes 6

Exactly my first thought lol

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Still better than dealing with the airlines

7 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

That looks like an airplane engine.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I first thought this was a Honda Goldwing motor, but it's too big for a bike engine. You may be right about this.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That would make it even cooler if it is.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is. Lycoming 540 of some flavor

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sweet

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sounds like one too

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

An un-baffled Aircraft engine... That will last about 30 min before it starts burning up cylinders

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Would pay money to see a german TÜV inspector check this monstrosity for german road regulation violations.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He totally ran the red.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In the source video he has a police escort.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I dont see any brakes either

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is that a Flat-6 taken from an Honda Gold Wing, or similar?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s actually an airplane engine. I think it’s a Continental or Lycoming.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was thinking that it could be an old aircooled Porsche flat six.. But you’re probably right. Thanks!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a Lycoming 540 ci. Looks to be injected from the top mount intake system

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

https://youtu.be/kps82JmgoVg its ok I found some sauce

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Doooot doooot

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good job. They still never show it turning! Build video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3br_haXmeWk Rear wheel is friction drive.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

sounds like the flat 6 is straight geared to it - never get above 15-20mph. which is dumb because without pipes that must be stupid loud.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Apparently it's an airplane engine

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

that explains it. twice the price and half the functionality.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At the first contact with the rear tire he'll be sucked inside that thin gap and given back to us as a compact package. Also: how to steer?

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

you don't. you have to basically walk it through turns. It's a show bike, its not really made to be ridden for any real distance.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It has to steer atleast a little or else you can't balance.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

going in a straight line requires very little movement if any, and on a stretched bike balance is not much of an issue. hold it up and go.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Im not saying the handles aren't attached to the front wheel. im saying he cant turn. he can move *maybe* 10-15 degrees.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The fork on the front looks like it could possivly turn like 20° to each side.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh my. Did I say 20? I meant 2

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So when you hit a bump bigger than a cable tie, it breaks in half? Looks cool, but not for my money.

7 years ago | Likes 173 Dislikes 2

It's on an air ride suspension. He can likely jack it up quite a few inches. Pretty common on show and big wheel baggers.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s a highcentracycle! In Oregon we have shit roads, this wouldn’t get very far. Cool concept tho

7 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

The second you come across a speed bump, you're done. That machine has barely any ground clearance.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Or a corner...

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You: Shut up and take my money! POTHOLE: I WILL TAKE YOUR LIFE

7 years ago | Likes 1590 Dislikes 3

Exactly! While it’s very beautiful, not practical at all.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You dont have enough money

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Or Speed bump

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I can't imagine it would handle cresting hills particularly well either.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah - it was built for all that money to make that 10 second video...

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

shit, a single rock may fuck your day up with this ride...

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Or a stick in the spokes

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well, if the pothole takes his life, I guess I can have his hot young wife?

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wouldn't a deep pothole also fuck someone up on a regular motorcycle, tho?

7 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 3

Yes.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Depends on the bike and the speed.. gsxr at high-speed? Yup. Sumo doing whatever? Woohoo jumps

7 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

I think ANY pothole would take this thing out.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Think of speed bumps, even low ones too

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What's stopping you from leaning and hitting that back tire or a cape getting pulled into i?

7 years ago | Likes 512 Dislikes 2

Its hard to tell but I think the wheels are covered except where it contacts the ground. So you lean back into a metal covering. Maybe?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

This is not for heroes

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

NO CAPES

7 years ago | Likes 399 Dislikes 4

Edna?

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

survival instinct?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Common sense...??

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Fear of leaning back and hitting that back tire and fear of getting a cape pulled into it. That'll stop him.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Your will to life?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What's stopping you from flinging your door open on a car and throwing yourself out it?

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I can't afford to die.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

not having a cape

1. Don't do that, and 2. Don't wear one.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The same thing that's stopping you from snapping it in half when you go over a bump or, heaven forbid, a parking lot transition: Nothing.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The purchase price.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No capes.

Not wanting to die

Beat me to it.

Survival instinct is stopping you .. <.<

i totally agree, my sequinned cape would get messed up by this sissy *ss bike.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

Ass. That self-censored word was "ass". Fucking lovely.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Evel? Is that you?

This is basically a death montage. Disney (Pixar) has no chills.

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

The handlebars... unless you want the cycle to drive itself off the cliff while your helmet gets polished.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

I prefer getting my helmet polished in more comfortable surroundings.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I have a feeling this is it running at top speed

7 years ago | Likes 339 Dislikes 6

I feel like those wheels are incompatible with that engine.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Curious as to how much torque the drive system can apply if you really hit the throttle. All-in-all, I really don't want to drive that thing

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Hard to tell...bigger wheels are harder to turn, but theres little mass. Top speed might be high.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, speed isn't my question, it's how much power that drive system can deliver all at once without destroying the wheel?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And I would imagine you'd get insanely hot after sitting in that spot for more than 5min.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nope, it's a cvt drivetrain so you can see that the clutches are only just starting to engage. Plenty more speed to be had

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I fully believe the engine is capable of producing more - it's the rest of the vehicle I'm concerned with.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If it ain't dangerous it ain't fun enough

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If that guy scoots his ass back a couple inches it'd get torn clean off

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

but the angular force of these wheels are crazy

7 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Top "safe" speed, he could probably easily top 120 for a few seconds, once.

7 years ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 1

the issue with designs like this is that the wheels have to be propelled by a very small gear or something else like that

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

so that the thing transferring energy to the wheels is hidden

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

and having such a gear ratio is challenging on the engine

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

i would bet that the back wheel is powered by a hidden rubber flywheel that is in direct contact with the tire.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

M8 have you seen it? There ISN'T a safe speed with that thing.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yeah, you've missed the point.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As you have mine.
