any restaurant that has an old-school bug zapper high up on a wall in the same room as their food preparation areas will be lightly dusting everything with exploded fly pieces ... mmm ... tasty

this is why I let spider-bro alone in a corner of my window; s/he caught one big-ass fly already this summer LOL

Now, do an elephant

This is a historic reference to Edison using AC power (Tesla) to publicly electrocute an elephant because he was selling DC power systems.

If the Tesla coil was being used to torture kittens, yes.

To kill flies that will never go extinct and are disease vectors? Not even close.

No different to one of those UV fly zappers. Get off your high horse.

Killing a bunch of one of the most common disease vectors, and food contaminants, not terribly psychotic at all. -_-

When I walk my dog I pick up earthworms from the street and put them in the grass. When I find a spider in the house I transport them outdoors. But ... this make me giggle. I need plans.

I have always fantasized about a laser that zaps insects, and it is controlled by some kind of target seeking system, like radar or AI connected to a camera. Should have the possibility for manual mode; connect a game controller or smartphone so you can zap manually.

Id like to own one if it can be made safer so it wouldnt set anything on fire. This looks awesome

Read the suggestion. Read the username.

If my days of playing Command & Conquer Red Alert are any indication, the flies need to send a spy into a power plant to shut it off for 30 seconds. Then they can take it down.

IF it's RA3 the cryobeam works wonders against Tesla Turrets.

I haven't played RA3 in so long. RA2/YR is my fave, been playing it as of late via download.

And roasted fly all over my room. Hopefully not a kitchen

Reminds me of the bug zapper to fight mosquito swarms. That smell when bigger bugs got caught in there and the zap really smoked them out...

We had one shipped out to us in Afghanistan and sometimes the dung beetles would hit it. We enjoyed it at first but the stench got bad and in the morning these giant hornets with huge mandibles would come and eat all the dead bugs on the ground
