Depending on the time of year, the dairy we get our eggs from can be very common. Messes with baking recipes like a muthuh

One of our old chickens, not sure of breed, layed double yoke eggs every time. She screamed every time

Get them locally? They're young females! It's actually quite common, I guess. Never seen two in a row tho!

You'd be better off getting more eggs. Increase your protein 200%.

Rather increase my cholesterol 200% per egg

My dad used to buy store brand jumbo eggs.., he averaged 2 double yolks per carton of 18. (Seriously... he started keeping track.)

This is my favorite response when people ask the question! I'm like, it happened, didn't it!?

Odds are pretty damn good if you bought a carton of double yolkers.

If you open a carton of jumbo sized eggs, which is a real thing, you can *easily* tell ones that are double yolkers. Sometimes all 12 are.
Or you can just buy a carton labelled as double yolk eggs, which is also a real thing. https://i.redd.it/hwpf1gv4ofn51.jpg
They are only rare if you don’t buy extra large eggs. Then maybe one of 30 is a double yolk. You will never see them in mediums.
They're not rare at all if you buy an actual carton labelled as double yolk eggs. Why is this is so confusing?
It’s easy to tell as the eggs have a different shape and they are much more common than ppl think if they dont realize they are sorted out
