Made a basket for one of the cats, because he kept sitting in the bread baskets I made as gifts for others.

It's a ribbon-type yarn (appropriately called Ribbon), and it took me what, 1½ skeins to do. it's some kind of puff stitch which looks a lot more complex than it really is.

He seems pleased with the offering.
Also, the boxes there in the background? Full of yarn.

He's my doofus baby

Must. Clean. Foot.

I haven't fastened the ends yet, but I probably will some day. Maybe. If I ever get around to it.

What a cute kitty, 10/10 would pet lots

Your cat prefers your gift to a card board box. Congratulations: you have achieved a feat the rest of us mortals only dream of.

That's a happy kitty.

That basket is awesome!! What brand of yarn are you using, and where are you sourcing it from? Yarn here in the US is garbage.

Do you sell these by chance?

People in the internet seem to have nice cats. I didn't (but I loved her!). Well. Maybe that's why I became a dog person :O

It fits, he sits.

Sooo you the kangaroo mama and that's your joey?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well, this is fucking precious. I love when cats grab their foot to clean it frantically, like they have to punish it for wrongdoing.

Why fasten the ends when you can have a cat basket with cat toy strings attached?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Heh, puff stitch.

i spent a solid minute looking at the top half of the first picture looking for a cat in the trash can... i am not the brightest

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In all fairness, one of the cats have a habit of digging through the trash can, so it's not entirely off.

I too have boxes full of yarn. And a cat. Please to take my money in exchange for a pattern. <3

Nice stash.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do you sell these?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I too would love to know if you sell, and how much.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's so fucking cute!!! Good job!

Thank you :D

That would be a huge win with my cats. Thought about a kick starter? Take my money as they say...

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Haha, I can give you the pattern if you know how to crochet xD

Lol surprised the cat likes it given that you made it specifically for him :P

I really like your cat storing method. And the basket is lovely

8 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 1

It's a really good way to store them! That way I can keep track of where they all are.

Now it just needs a lid!

Well made, cat approved.

Greetings fellow yarn hoarder. What pattern did you use? It looks cool and I would like to try my hand at one.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Beautiful stitching! Most excellent Meow too! Did you use a pattern?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

do you take requets? @OP I'm getting a kitten soon

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I too would like to know if you take requests or have an Etsy, @op

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Can you make one people size and put pillows in the bottom???

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It'd definitely be possible! I'd have to adjust the base though, because it gets really wonky if you make it too large, and won't lie flat.

This is a super cool post and talent, but you did say, "one of the cats". Are there pictures of... more cats?

I'm going to need to see the contents of the boxes. Why so much? I usually have at least 3 WIP's going because I see yarn I like.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One day I'm going to take pictures of all my stash. One day.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Once I had some of my stash pop out of a drawer I had it hidden from my husband in when he opened it. I was sorry/not sorry.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did you crochet it? Looks so good!! Good job @OP!! Do you have a tutorial link I can have, pretty please?

8 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 2

Lionbrand has a free pattern for one too using fettuccini yarn.
