I hate these AI voice overs

Millie Spinner sounds like a name for a toy or game. Joking aside this is a great invention.

Plot twist: YOU have to spin while that medical device remain static.

This is not a pleasant experience. Had this type of procedure done recently. Traumatic experience.

I'm pretty sure we already do the snaking and I don't think fucking spinning a blood clot around like a fuckin alligator death roll is a good idea. The danger removing blood clots is always going to be shaking pieces of which cause micro strokes or infarctions. So like the vacuum is a good idea, but I'm concerned about the rest of it.

Cool tech, but will health care insurers pay for it? Or does the corporation that sells medicine required after accidents of the current procedure have a strong lobby blocking it?

Now imagine these things pushing through your veins while you're awake... Or when you're NOT in a.. place of healing..

Your welcome for the imagery!

I'd bet one of my cars, this and like a fuckton of anticoagulants is how Sweet Potato Hitler's stroke droop face was fuckin fixed. -_-

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Likely, yes. The only way a clot is going to kill him is if it goes straight for a pulmonary embolism - it does a *lot* of damage.

Would AI have discovered something like this my mistake?

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I guarantee we’re going to see a movie that’s basically innerspace x Armageddon soon.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That'll work great on my see-through veins!

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thrombectomy success rate is already way over 50%

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

if its blockes and you cant unblock it within 20 mins, the patient is fucked. Unless your under a CT scan at the time it happens; goodluck with that.

Doctors already have spinning devices like this to clear plaque from arteries (Atherectomy), I'm surprised this is revolutionary for clot removal.

5 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Maybe clot removal is risky, where chunks can break off and cause worse problems.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

NO doubt clot removal is different than plaque removal, but still, I'm surprised it took a happy accident with a clot removal tool to figure out that the same kind of spinning tool they use for plaque removal might help.

*mechanic, mid job* "Hey, my exhaust hanger bolt removal set works on the engine too! Now i dont need to buy 2 suspiciously similar toolsets!"

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So it took medical researchers an extra hundred years to figure out that roto-rooters work?

5 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Real innovation *really* requires cross-discipline knowledge.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That’ll be 5 mil please

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

In Canada, it's free. In the United States, it's a kidney and selling your stuff to afford it.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When I had 2 strokes they used this inserting from my inner thigh and going all the way up to the base of my brain clearing out 2 blockages. Saved my life. Thrombosis check out the YT vids.

5 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Were you knocked out for it, or could you feel it? I've always wondered if you feel this kind of thing but never thought to, idk, just Google it lol

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was out. They inserted the IV, and I was out in seconds. When I woke up I had a HUGE contusion on my inner thigh. From my belly to my knee. Every hour they would come in and do a sonogram and a deep pressure massage on the entire area to ensure I did not have a blood clot. It hurt like hell. I do not reccomend.

I hope it doesn't spin at the same rate I spin my veins all the time. Well, I guess it would work once I spin them back the other way.

Hell, YEAH!

If you open the video to full screen the mute button should reappear.

I wouldn't suggest using this for sounding.

There is sound. Imgur just sucks these days and sound glitches randomly for some people.

5 months ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

You have to go full screen to see the unmute sometimes. Been like that for a while now.. before the changes.

Thanks business daddy 🙄

5 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yeah.. this issue started before then which you clearly didn't read.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Can we are plumbers get this technology too?

5 months ago | Likes 115 Dislikes 6

Gotta slurp them turds.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Plumbers already knew about spinning a vortices to clear an obstruction, why do you think they cost so much? ;-D

5 months ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 1

That's not the part I want

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Thats actually what they are called in the hospital.

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

wtf is the "we are" part supposed to be?

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I read it like the 'we are farmers, bum bada dum dum bum bum bum" commercial

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Great thinking, but unless all the clogs in the drainage are made of the same material as a blood clot, I’m afraid it won’t work.

5 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Not the part that I want. I want the maneuverability

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Except they do have them and they do work. They are called "Drain Augers", if you want to look them up, and they work exactly how they sound. The cheap ones are powered by a cordless drill, the more expensive ones have their own motor.

5 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not exactly as is, but something similar could still be used. The bloodclot one needs to remove the clot because you can't risk it causing problems elsewhere, with pipes you just need to break it up enough that the clogs loosens and makes it to the sewer main.

But realistically a drain auger does the job, is easy to use, and cheaper than a plumber, so I'd say just use that.

5 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

worth noting the spinning also "shakes off" a bunch of non coagulated blood cells, which makes the clot much smaller and it can be pulled in to the suction easier, which is the much bigger discovery than the spinning.
