As a whole i think the Life of Brian is stronger but holy grail has some absolutely legendary gags. The peasant scene is near perfect comedy

Netflix has a great limited series about them. Very entertaining and interesting. Recommended.

Imagine. Some one somewhere is going to see Back To The Future tonight - 35 years to the day it was released

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I saw it yesterday for the first time, fucking worth it

I think it's hilarious (every time), wife thinks it's stupid. Thank FSM that my daughters got my humor gene. They think it's hysterical.

The first 10 minutes alone will provide background on no less than 3 memes, and far more if you spend a lot of time on the internets.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know it will be awesome, but I am scared I wont find it as funny as it is hyped up to be

There are a lot of funny movies from the 70s but the top two would have to be this film and "Blazing Saddles"

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah but that is Hollywood glamour. Python is anarchy at Its finest

Told someone Monty Python is a good summary of my sense of humor (theirs was Vince Vaughn). They asked "who's that?) Truly made me sad.

Sorry bro.

Watched it again last night... wife had to tell me to stop saying the words as they came up

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"my reaction when"; I was reading it was "me, right when..."; ehhh, close enough.

Saw 'Spamalot' a few years ago: amazing performance, awesome gift; nothing like live performances. Actors were incredible.

I saw it live with Tim Curry! Amazing!

The song that goes like this..

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Too loud and ruckus for my tastes-- at least, when I tired to watch it back then.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe you were tired.

I use this line when gaming. Same tone and inflection and not enough people get it! Amazing for 5 v 2 situation: RUN AWAY!

I made a Monty Python reference once ("The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch") and my receptionist said "I don't get it."

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same as when my friends say they've never seen Caddyshack, Animal House, or Stripes.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tbh I haven't seen it :o is it that good?

If you like extremely silly, irreverent British humor youll probably like it... if not you might think its stoopid

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Comedy is subjective, this is often said to be a great comedy. Personally it was a chore to get through

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you're into older movies with an absurd, sometimes surreal sense of humour, absolutely groundbreaking for the time, then yes! Very silly.

So be it...

Is that worse than someone who has seen it and liked it but didn't find it very funny the second time?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Frankly, I do not believe that person exists. I have literally seen it in the 3 digits (stopped counting around 60) and was Still a teen

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wow, straight up denying my existence. That's cold. Dick move, bro.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wouldnt. But there were probably other factors outsider your control such as too much to drink, not enough to drink etc.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I...I haven’t seen it.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I seen't it once. It's all right.

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 7

It's enjoyable, but a lot of things are weirdly put together and it falls apart at the end. More quotable than good to me.

It's extremely good.

I tried watching it but I didn't enjoy it like I thought I would

5 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 4

I'm with you. I dont like this style of comedy.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Personally I think Life of Brian is better

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Honestly it's not a great movie. It's a great loose collection of sketches with quotable lines.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

It's one of MY all-time faves, but it's not everybody's cup of tea!

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I love holy grail but I don’t get life of Brian. There’s so much good stuff out there, everyone has something to love!

<~~ MP virgin

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well then you're in for a treat, whenever you decide to watch them :D

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It’s one of my all time favorite movies!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My standard childhood birthday party movie lineup was Holy Grail, Space Balls, Happy Gilmore, and Billy Madison.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't be sad, that just means they still get to experience it for the first time.

5 years ago | Likes 231 Dislikes 1

There are several movies I wish I could watch for the first time again. This is definitely one. Umpteenth time is good too

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You never forget your first time.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You are absolutely right. Nothing like finishing a great movie for the first time.

5 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

You should offer to watch it with him. Just don't spoil anything, OK? But it'd be a great bonding experience.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My dad watching this for the first time a few weeks ago: "Well that was stupid"

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just watched it for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It’s now one of my favorites lol

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ya until you go to show them and they’re looking at their phone the whole time and tell you they don’t get it and it’s not that funny ?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Exactly. My guilty pleasure is just watching random people watch my fav things for the first time on yt... usually with terrible 3min intros

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just imagine knowing people in your personal live and you can make them watch stuff and get their reactions live ... now i made myself sad
