He was a homeless man who got warped and wrapped up in Julie's Outback. The comic goes in a lot more detail and jumps into the future. In the end it was all about Julie and Sarah.
The Maxx. Definitely check it out, it was a 2-season MTV's Oddities show. Chaotic, beautiful, awful, and creative. The comic books were incredible too, but harder to find.

She died not with a whimper or a bang, but with a thwack.

Sam Keith (artist for Maxx) did a lot of good work for Marvel and DC. In the late 80's he did some really good stuff for Neil Gaiman and The Sandman.
TheDefective
The only comic book show that FELT like a comic.

I finally finished it after all these years starting it in highschool. It got me so hard. There is too much to relate too

I was down at Walgreens every Wednesday when they'd get in the new comics. In an age of X-Men and Spider-Man, The Maxx was really something special.

God, I remember seeing him in passing. Wasn't he like canonically a mental patient?

I'm old enough that all the shit being posted was crap my niblings had. I already had a mortgage and a bipolar wife.

I've seen a few things from the 60s/70s, but yeah most of it seems to be 90s/early 2000s

It wasn't til today that I realized Xavier: Renegade Angel is a lot like Maxx with his ridiculous delivery of conundrums and thought infusions.
