Bomb disposal team

No caption needed....

So this morning the town centre was evacuated and the bomb squad was called. Turns out some Muppet put his costume in the bin last night

Unfortunately it's better safe than sorry so every bomb threat is taken seriously.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its finny you blurred their faces, its not blurred on the link

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fucking twats

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In all seriousness, it's good practise to be alert and react instead of being meh

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Funny joke. Do that shit in the US and you'll spent the next 30 years in Federal prison.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love the British insult "Muppet." And yes, this twatwaffle is a total Muppet.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Someone's going to jaaaail

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel like this provably was just a drunk guy stumbling home and tossed his costume in a bin rather than a deliberate bomb scare

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That bomb disposal vehicle look like shit.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1. C4 is black (it's not C4 if it doesn't have lamp black in) 2. Terrorists probably aren't using RDX. Hard to make, easy to detect.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Never expected our little Wellingborough to make FP ...well done?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"it's a clock."

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I sure there's prints and such on that

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

There's a photo of the guy right there posted on social media, not sure what prints would add to finding the guy...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Guess his prank bombed.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Bloody Wellingborough ?

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

One of the shittiest shitholes in the UK

“Some muppet” Didn’t even need to read the article to know you’re in the UK

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I was forced to stay indoors at work because someone found a grenade outside. Turns out it was a lighter. The bomb squad sill detonated

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It though, and I’m in a downtown area. The reverb was enough to make me yell on the phone (I had no idea they were doing the detonation).

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They also found a white substance in a box a few blocks away. It was a messed up day to say the least!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those two look like they have soft bodys. Prison will treat them well me thinks.

7 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 28

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

why would he leave his phone attached to the costume?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Probably an old phone that he didn't need or it didn't work just to add to the costume.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Crappy phomes for pay as you go plans are fairly cheap in England

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have no doubt alcohol was part of the decision making process, I’m just not sure how much.

7 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 1

Wild guess not knowing story: was Halloween party costume, thrown in trash along way home.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can only agree only if you mean the "making process" a.k.a drinking pregnant mom of these two hippo-anusses.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Everyone drinks alcohol, imagine alcohol did this to everyone. That'd be absurd.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Too much, obviously.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And people wonder as to why I don't drink.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I think it's safe to say that the amount of booze required to make this seem like a good idea is in itself a stupid amount to drink at once.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

About 9001 Alcohol

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Wa there an event or some reason to go out in costume last night?

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

In England pubs have fancy dress nights for no reason at all, or groups do it just themselves for a pub crawl

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Not that I'm aware of! It's just a strange place full of strange people

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Lived there for a year, can confirm.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Congrats on the escape

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#1 brits seem to chew a lot of gum

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It’s to keep our teeth in impeccably good nick!!!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I envy people who don't have to see gum all over the floor.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

slightly better than places where they dont clean their dog poop. or even if they do, you still ahve to dodge the left over streaks

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Almost anywhere is better than Paris.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ok why all the hate on them could have been a simple thingbhe did whole drunk maybe the costume got anoying so he threw it in the trash 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 4

Ive done similar things with chuncks of home made crap costumes walking home drunk from a party he might not have thought twice about it

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

How about we stop using "I was drunk" as an excuse for bad decisions.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's a bit in poor taste, the costume, but yeah, after a few beers, I can see him throw it out without thinking about it. No harm intended.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

It's stupid and all that, but who hasnt made dumb decisions while sober, or drunk?

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And ti top it off thwres always one if those guys at a costum party as hitler or some shit

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe I'm just too American to get it, but isn't dressing up as a terrorist with a bomb vest just a bad idea to begin with?

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Happens here more often than you'd think actually

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Gotcha. For some reason I thought it would be a bigger deal over there, seeing as you guys seem to actually deal with more terror attacks.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There is barely such a thing as terrorist attacks. It's just scaremongering. It's a very minor risk in most countries. You're better off

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Guessing you don't live in a part of the world where bombs in trash cans have maimed hundreds as a routine practice of extremist groups...

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wisconsin

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Name one place that has that. Hundreds? From trash can bombs? Routinely? I challenge you to name a place, with a credible source.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The UK, over the decades of The Troubles with the IRA. And sorry: bombs were left in trash bins, telephone booths, and other public places.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dont you expand it to telephone booths and other stuff. We're talking about trash bins. That article links to one incident with a trashcan

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah come on, using the sun website??

7 years ago | Likes 425 Dislikes 7

What's wrong with the sun?

7 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 62

Shut up about the sun. Shut uP ABOUT THE SUN!

Also known as the Scum.

7 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

If you wipe with it you end up with more shit on your arse.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is this were they post the tits?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yeah back in the day. and my bad it was page 3 https://youtu.be/I9Shz1-8PB8

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wtf what's wrong with these assholes downvoting you for simply asking a question?

7 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 9

I know right, it's not like my country have The Sun so I'm genuinely asking

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I gave you some up votes. Gotcha buddy

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mah dudez!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The downvoters probably are assuming that they where defending the s*n not asking what it was

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

This explains everything

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it's a pretty trashy newspaper, the stories aren't exactly considered good journalism.

7 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 1

I see, the sun doesn't published in my country

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The sun keeps me warm I don't know what you dislike it....

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

as someone from the Netherlands, why?

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Dude, everything that is considered yellow press in britain is as trustworthy as some drunken hobo lying for a Dollar. Sun, daily Mail...

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What is yellow press?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Biased and trashy writing from barely literate monkeys. So far that doesn't seem particularly different to any other tabloid. So you should

7 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

research how they reported Hillsborough which set a new, and I think yet to be beaten, low in journalism.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

This looks way more credible than almost any "bomb" in the media or bomb scare, like remember those LED signs people freaked over?

7 years ago | Likes 352 Dislikes 1

you mean the mooninite invasion?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah the aqua teen movie!

Because leds on a thin board with some batteries makes a bomb. The more visible the bomb, the more explosive force.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Can you see it? Because I'm doing it harder than ever before

7 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

OMFG we are all gonna die!

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I was so crushed that I didn't find one since one was in my neighborhood in an area that I hung out in.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I read this initially as you being upset you didn't find a bomb lol

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Maybe if I was in de_dust

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

The teacher was a dummy, and dummies are easy to fuck with

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 18

Teacher did exactly what they are supposed to do. Its the rules that is a bit stupid.

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Not sure if you've actually seen a picture of that kid's clock but it does look a lot like a bomb, he was clearly looking for attention

7 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 25

Fun fact...I carried this through TSA today: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/5egAAOSw6X1cCgQu/s-l1600.jpg

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How is your bottom? Did you have to spend the flight standing or did they use enough lube?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's still in his colon. So yeah, I imagine pretty sore.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know if you've actually ever seen a bomb, but you're stupid

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

"That might be a bomb. Let me go stick my face in it and make sure it definitely contains explosives." Get your head out of your ass.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

https://www.asi-mag.com/modern-ied-design-trends/ note the common part, they all have something that can go boom in them

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Those pictures look similar enough to the clock that a layperson who doesn't want to dig around in a suspected bomb could be worried.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

see the thing is (and this is the point I was really making) there's nothing there that can explode, wires does not a bomb make, you need/

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

stuff that can actually go boom. That takes up volume, chuck a water bottle in there full of "mystery" and sure you can have concern

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

here, we have a trigger (the phone) wires to where you put detonators, and stuff to detonate, all the things you need for a bomb.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Sure. Totally a bomb. Empty suitcase with some circuit boards.

7 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 13

But he was told repeatedly to put it away and he admitted that he new exactly what he was doing.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Problem was, he didn't make it, that's a standard model clock with the shell taken off and the insides put into a briefcase 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

If it we're an Arduino or a raspi something it would make sense, but when it's literally just a disassembled clock put into a briefcase 2/3
