Vernors ginger ale was awesome ...can't get it in my state

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you actually like Ginger. Reed's extra is the only way to go. I've tried them all.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Maine Root makes an awesome one, Aldi carried it as a special item for a while.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No Bundaberg?? Heresy!!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'll bring the Jameson!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That will do nicely! Bourbon is typically my go-to combo for ginger ale, try it if you haven't, Bulleit is a good start.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dude that's my favorite mixed drink

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't see crabbies or wild ginger ....I want a crabbies or wild ginger

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

+1 for crabbies! Funny how ginger beer describes the nonalcoholic drink so they've got to use ginger brew to describe it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Now I want those as well, time for a request to management

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Those elderflower drinks are amazing tbh

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You should've saved this for RHM, @op. +1 anyways :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Makes the best dark n' stormys... or good bythemselves. Either way they are a god send

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

Go for the ginger beer. Much better.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Much love for Reed's

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Mildly interesting

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That was actually the intended destination for this post, to be honest. I uploaded to Imgur, forgot about it until today

Ginger beer and ginger soda are stupid easy to make, too. You can do it with just a stockpot and some fliptop bottles.

Have any how-to guides to recommend?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Google around, there's plenty. The major variables are wild vs dry yeast and how sweet you want it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

here's one that looks pretty similar to mine, http://toriavey.com/toris-kitchen/2013/09/the-old-fashioned-way-homemade-ginger-beer/

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

(but I use a ginger bug rather than dry yeast)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is the ginger they should add

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 7

Looking back - I'm not sure why I posted it, but I did.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I grew up in a house with Vernons. Only allowed to drink it as a kid is if I was sick. Then in college, I added vodka. The ginger. Elusive.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I love vernors so much

And people complain about globalization..

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hate it. I like Canada dry best.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

Oh, you mean sprite with a ginger twist? REAL ginger ale is supposed to make you regret living when the fires of hell erupt from your burps!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like ginger candies. Those are good. They burn but they help my tummy

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love it! It is hard to find down South unfortunately.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
