Made a 1100 mile trip from Kansas to Louisiana to pick it up.

Engine had been sitting outside the car for 1.5 years, easily the weak point of the deal.

Originally thought to be a 289, its actually an 80's 302 from a Thunderbird.

Some engine rust from being outside for so long, we were planning on rebuilding it anyway.

Close up of the Piston.

The walls themselves don't appear to be bad, but well have them honed out professionally.

Floor pans aren't too bad, few spots need touched up, but nothing major.

Standing triumphantly in the engine compartment. This was 2 days before I got my hair cut, don't judge.

The hair is not even worth mentioning, sir.

America must be heaven for car guys. All those cheap, beautiful, old cars standing on junkyards. Thats how I imagine it at least.

Nice find! And in surprisingly good condition! That motor is solid as well, needs new accessories and an overhaul on the heads/ intake.

This isn’t done, I’m in the internet and if i don’t get instant gratification I’m pissed.

Anything before 1969 has got to be my favorite years for the Mustang. I currently own an 83' V6 and I love the hell out of it.

Kansas and Louisiana? Bastions of political ineptitude.

Read title as "1968 masturbating." Ended up disappointed.

Being a Chevy guy, it always baffles me just how tiny those little Ford small blocks are. And they still made comparable power.

Busy with school and work, not a lot of time I could get hair cut.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Do what I did. Bought some hair clippers like the ones the hair stylists use, slap on a #4 and buzz my own head.

That's what I do too. It takes some practice but now I got the hang of it. No ragrets.

The only thing I still muck up is getting the hairline at the base of my neck perfectly straight.

Take care of her OP, do it for the people like me who dream of owning one but will never get to. Update please.

While kind of expensive for a show car, this starter only cost me $1500. It can be reasonable depending on your taste.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I for one will never be able to do this sadly as a. There aren't 60's muscle cars just lying around peoples yards in the UK 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Should have fought harder for those colonies.....

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And b. There's no chance of me being able to afford a garage that size to work in any time before I'm 60!
