I have huge boobs since forever, but after a hysterectomy last year I went from a 34K to 34M (and really most M's don't fit me...im closer to an MM or N) in 4 1/2 months..

After complaining of increased back pain, my husband urged me to go see about getting a breast reduction. Which is just proof that my husband is a saint, as he is whole heartedly a "Boob guy."

Tomorrow is the big day, I'm nervous but honestly am looking forward to healing and being able to go running after without dislocating my ribs. I'm looking forward to going hiking and doing things I want to without measuring my back pain and trying to gage if I can push thru it long enough.

I am nervous, I'm afraid of if I will still be too big to stop my back pain or be too small... I am looking forward to being able to buy cute bras from Victoria secret (I've always been too big) and my husband is so excited to save money on bras (We're lucky if I can find bras for under 100$$)

I have planned to have our friends come with "Sympathy" cards for my husband and his "loss" of my boobs. They showed me a few weeks ago and some of their comments are too perfect!! "Tho you may no longer hold them in your hands, you can always carry your memories with you."
My husband has no idea and I am so excited to see his face when they give them to him!!! Because, 12 years together, 8 married and 2 kids later I still like to mess with him. (He does things like this too, a few years ago he posted an embarrassing photo of my son as a toddler and I napping in an unflattering position that went viral and can always be counted on to pop up a few times a year.. It's even part of a click bate thread that frequents fb apparently..)

I can't sleep, and my husband is gone for training (He gets back friday.. ) I don't know why I am making this post outside of the fact that I am really just trying to kill time until I go in for my surgery..

Puppy-tax my Pomeranian who likes to keep watch over the house from the hearth of our fireplace. She looks regal, but in actuality she's a complete dork

My Awesome husband with our fur babies!
**edit. Wow, thanks everyone for the support and well wishes. I am out of surgery and recovering well. It ended taking 2 hours long than it was supposed to, which I guys meant way more anesthesia.. which I am also sensitive to, so now I have to stay the night in the hospital because I couldn't stop throwing up.
Funny note - while coming out of surgery and trying to wake up, the first thing I said was "what's wrong, why didn't they take my boobs??"
To which the nurse said "They did. Everything went fine, but you got more anesthesia than normal. "
"Is that why my boobs don't hurt *snoring resumes *"
Well no snoring but there was sleeping haha apparently they numb the crap out of your boobs when they so this so they don't hurt.

Is he really a saint because he puts your back pain before his preferences?

I knew a girl in high school who had a going away party for her boobs!

As a boob guy, 34DD is plenty.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My wife got a breast reduction and it has changed her little life immeasurably for the better. You will enjoy this. Heal well

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm almost 2 years post op from a reduction myself. Best decision I ever made. I was also halfway down the alphabet, a 44 JJ myself. 1/

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

It was also the first surgery I ever experienced. Despite being loopy from pain killers and anesthetic, my back instantly felt better. 2/

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

It'll be a rough 6 week recovery, and it'll be very difficult to move your upper torso for a bit, but it's worth it. You've got this!

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Any surgery is scary, and that's okay. I know a few women that have had a boob reduction and they're both very happy with it. Good luck!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Boobs should have been made detachable. You could put them on the nightstand and get a good nights sleep.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Or pick the perfect size to go with that cute top!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I think in some jurisdictions a 34M bra is registered as a siege weapon

Double barreled trebuchet!

Congrats girl! If you need to offload some of those brassieres *raises hand* cause my last bra cost $170. Enjoy the perks of smaller boobs!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

@OP: if this lady shares your "old" size, that may be the best charity ever. Sincerely, someone else who has to spend too much on bras.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I bought my most recent bra in November and refused (on principal) to buy another in that size. So it's pretty much toast. Or I would!!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

@OP I'm a 34DD and I can honestly say the "cute" bra selection isn't as extensive as you might think. Still, I wish you boob luck!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I can really understand ur happiness. I have a 34H/I and it's a burden on daily life. I hope one day to be able to afford a reduction 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

I have 32I. My shoulders are chronically painful now from bra straps and boob weight. I'm tempted to get a reduction.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Most insurance will cover for pain or scoliosis reasons.. Medicaid covered mine for that reason..

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wish u a successful surgery and a great recovery with ur new, gravity-defying-everywhere-fitting new boobs!!

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Have your doctor declare medical necessity for back pain - insurance should cover, that's not elective.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the info!! <3

Im a F-cup my back hates he now i cant even imagine how yours feels

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Are you're sure you're wearing the correct size? I'm not judging, but I've got some 30Gs and since I switched to other bras it's no problem.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Of course I am aware a 30G is pretty petite compared to larger band Fs that may cause more problems.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ive been measured a couple times iam wearing the right size its just im 5'2 ,atm im pregnant but before i wasn't a big person so my back-

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Killed a bit

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sounds reasonable, backs don't really recommend baby bellies. ;) I wish you all the best!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why did your boobs get bigger after your hysterectomy? Or does this happen to every woman?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

My aunt had to start taking estrogen pills after hers (because her body didn't produce enough w/o a uterus) which might affect boob size

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I guess it might.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

estrogen is made in the ovaries though, not the uterus

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

They are often removed also

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's not true. They try to leave them in if they can

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had a reduction, it is amazing. I went back to work three days later, had a bit over two pounds removed from each, so fun scars, but 1/

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

overall pretty painless. My advice is to stock up on ice packs, frozen peas, etc. The pain feels very surface level, so ice helps a ton 2/

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Make sure to wear the surgical bra for a few months, but you can buy them on your own if you don't like the one they give you 3/

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

but as long as you have tight bandages and rotate ice packs, you might not even need pain meds after first few days. Get $$ scar gel from 4/

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

doctor's office, it is pricey, but if you use fake or less powerful, you are going to have to deal with worse scarring later on 5/

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Anyway, congrats. That first deep breath after waking up from surgery makes it easily worth it. 6/6

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The operation might lessen the pain, but if you have back problems you need to see a therapist and do back strenghtening exercises.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I've been going to physical therapy and will continue after. I need to teach my body good posture again and build up the right muscles :)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I see you got everything down to a tee. Back problems are really slow to heal but with a good "muscle barrier" your issues will fade nicely.

My co-workers (all men) had a moment of silence at the time of surgery. To mourn the loss. It was funny because they were serious.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

They were happy for me because they knew how much pain i was in. Had to have some fun with it though.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Love the name!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm going to call shenanigans. This is a selfie OP posted in 2016. Doesn't look M to me.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 7

I was an H here. I went from a k to m in the last 7 months.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was thinking the same thing. These bra sizes not be US sizes or something. An M would be like largest breasts in the world type size.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That's a 2 year old picture. You can easily go up a lot of bra sizes (or down) in a 2 year span.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Also, this was 2012 :)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If anyone is curious what M boobs actually look like, Google Anorei Collins. She's an LL which is basically an M.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

OP is def referring to US sizes. A LL in US size is an R cup! I’m a J in US size and she said she was an H in that pic. Very believable

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hope you’re back feels better girl!

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 5

Thank you. I'm really optimistic that it will help so much!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I had a breast reduction done. Best thing ever. Congrats and enjoy how damn perky they're going to be now!!

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 2

Agreed. I'm a boob guy but big gigantic tits are not a turn on, especially if theey are the cause of chronic pain for the wearer.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Am I the only one that noticed that fantastic pun?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 8

I'm going to upvote you out of negative but I guess for future reference, always assume that no, you're not the only one.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Lol I've seen some artists on the internet who would wholeheartedly disagree with you.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a boob guy there is no such thing as too much. As a sensible person it's none of my business what other people do with their bodies.

8 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 14

Its not too much for people who dont have to carry them, yeah :P

She's "stepping down" to DD, thats still a damn solid score on the boob-o-meter...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Actually, people have a pretty wrong idea when they think about boob sizes. I'm short and petite and DD, yet it is proportional to my body.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Depending on the rest of her body and band size, DD may only be a modest handful.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also, if it hurts, it ain't sexy...

8 years ago | Likes 75 Dislikes 1

I guess you haven't heard of BDSM. Specifically the "SM" bit.

Breast reduction in the UK seems very cheap!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you have back pain due to your boobs, you can probably get it for free.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes well I was kind of making a currency themed pun, but you deserve an upvote for awareness!

8 years ago | Likes 102 Dislikes 7

Some guys get gynecomastia. A reduction is the only way to get rid of the moobies. Also, men can-and do-get breast cancer.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Very true. And it is easy to forget about male breast cancer, not to mention testing oneself regularly.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Men should examine their breasts (mammary tissue) regularly just like you should with your testicles. Women can't really examine 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

cervix/ovaries/etc from home, hence the regular checkups. 2/2

can confirm, no gf, won't explain.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a guy with many friends who have D-Cups, DD will still be too much, depending on your body. If your petite and thin, everything past C-->

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 6

will likely hurt except if you're in top form. If you're a bit bigger and fit, D to DD might be ok. Speak to your doctor, he'll help you out

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Try searching for Chinese tea sets on the internet. Fyi, Korea and Japan also make beautiful works so you may want to consider them as well.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a cute Japanese tea set where the pot/cups have puffer fish on them

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not sure, probably some really expensive tea shop in the UK

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

You'd be better off finding a Chinese grocery store, or turning to the internet, same quality for far less.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks like pretty typical (if stylish) Chinese tea set. Depending where you live, those can be surprisingly available.

I wanna see this toddler napping picture!! Great story, hope your reduction goes smoothely. I'm no scientist but I think 34DD is stillhuge

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 4

34 DD is actually not that big... it is a modest handful (source - am 32 DD).

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1 It's not really...a lot of women with big boobs squeeze themselves into smaller sizes bc of the misconception that DDs are huge and they

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

And it's good, people should always value their own comfort over sex appeal. Appearances are often overrated. Boobs are good in all sizes

Well the clothes & the kid hide them a bit, but in general DD+ sizes are not nearly as big as people think. I'm a J cup and ppl think I'm DD

Great post! I agree, do not get measured at VS, sold me completely wrong, expensive, ill-fitting bra because I did not know any better.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a pretty nice post you have there. And apparently you have the same Freya Deco obsession that I have. :)

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes! It helped me ease the transition out of the bra matrix, esp since I was so used to molded cups! I just wish they had sexier styles...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fantasie shares some of the models, but has a more "grown up" style, if you're looking for something like that. Sheer bras are harder to 1/2

That was a good source for finding references. Good luck OP, M size seems like it is too much for a body to handle.

Mmm you can even search by size category http://www.boobpedia.com/boobs/Category:32M_bra

Holy fucking boobies Batman.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jesus, how can any woman function with those?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have considered about doing a before and after, but from the weight and back pain I've put weight on around my belly too and am not sure

8 years ago | Likes 103 Dislikes 4

You should definitely do before and after pics, in the same top.Just crop your face for anonymity.Daughter? She may need to see when older.

Don't feel you have to indulge folks' curiousity for the sake of a few clicks. Do exactly what you're comfortable with.

I'm confident enough in my body to post photos...

8 years ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 3

Just post bra's pics before/after (and a banana for scale), don't need to post body pics. Good luck OP from Bf/childrens/friends/imgur !

As a 38G, I can't imagine how horrible a 34M must be and I'm super happy for you, lady.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No pressure, we will all survive without them. Lol

8 years ago | Likes 88 Dislikes 0

No body needed, just crop around your chest! But seriously, way to go, OP. This is going to be wonderfully life changing. You can do it!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Could also just post the different bras, I suggest cantaloupe for scale.

8 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

Great idea! Also the volume or weight removed?

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I mean id like to get a general idea of the shape? Like long floppy or a bit perkier/round?

It looks great! @thefrenchgirl kinda making me consider one now...if you don't mind my asking, did you also get a lift?

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

What a lift is? I got the classical anchor scar, is that your question?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

those look great either way, hope the reduction is helping ease the back pain

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It made it disappears totally

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Curious as to what cup size you were before/after? I'm on the verge of a reduction...maybe this post is my impetus.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was an F before my surgery. Each breast was the size of a 2 yr olds head.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Name checks out then.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Same... now I'm a big C... LOVE the weight off my chest literally! how long ago did you have the surgery?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years or so. I didnt realize how much they got in my way until rhey were smaller. Im a c now.

My wife is a 36G, went to 38JJ breast feeding. She liked them better after being hooked up to lindathebralady.com site that I found for her.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ya sames... had mine done after my last munchkin was done with them! what a difference!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Something like "a F" doesn't exist. A 30F has approx. the volume of a 32E of a 34D of a 36C, so without a number "a F" doen't tell anything.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

I hate that no one seems to get this! It’s like playing battleship with only the letters! D what? F what??

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lots of comments like that down here. "I'm only a DD and it's nearly unbearable." A DD what? Give me some numbers!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean I'm a 30G, and that's far less than most people think because they don't know the influence of band sizes.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

It's terribly annoying to see dumb people say shit like "a D cup is big", no, it's big if the band size is tiny.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Actually a D is tiny if the band size is tiny. 28D = same volume as 34A. Gets confusing tho bc tiny girls w/ large boobs mistakenly wear Ds

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's just a convenient way to say "my chest and boobs measured around are 4 inches bigger than the chest below my boobs".
