The man in this painting is someone I dearly love and today is the day to share that.

This is hanging in my living room.

My dad, a Viet Nam vet, has a print of this in his office. Poignant and powerful.

Dang, this his close to home. Dad was a Vietnam vet and this is how he reacted when visiting The Wall.

What's your damage?

My grandpa was in Vietnam and has this on his wall. Lost 20 hometown friends. All gave some. Some gave all.

I have friends who were deployed (and are still deployed). It feels strange to just keep doing the American consumer thing.

I wish we, speaking as a civilian, gave more. If we're going to ask young men to fight and die, the least we can do is pay taxes.

I say this every goddamn time, but the guy in this painting looks disturbingly like my father, a Vietnam medic. Always hard to see this.

I'm sorry, so many people see someone they love in this painting, and I would never want to take that away from them.

It really doesn't matter which one, just know that I love him.

I live in the area as well. It is truly one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Want to say more, but not enough room.
