RIP James Horner

Jun 23, 2015 6:12 AM

He did the music for the Rocketeer

I just wanted to pay tribute to someone who has always inspired me. James Horner died in a plane crash on Monday. The world is a darker place without him.

Jumanji

Willow

Titanic

Avatar

A Beautiful Mind

A Field of Dreams

The Land Before Time

Casper

Braveheart

patriot Games

Now who's going to write the music for Avatar 2-4?! Rest in peace, James, though we all wish you'd be with us longer

Jesus, and until now I never knew his name. I feel...sacrilegious. The man wrote the music for some of my favorite movies...

Thanks for putting The Rocketeer first! That's my all time favourite! I feel guilty too... He did so much good and I knew not his name!

I know he composed WAY more scores. These are just some of my favorites.

I have the Aliens and Patriot Games scores on my iPod loved his work

None of these seem particularly memorable for their scores

Have you ever listened to the soundtracks? without the movie playing? they're incredible, they take you to places that arent in the movies.

Yeah I mean they enhance the movie but I don't see anyone making tributes for great editors and they're at least as important
