I have a pen that was CNCd by HP. Yea Hewlett Packard. They CNCd this pen, engraved it, as swag... They had like 20 of them sitting on a table at a conference. I have another HP pen, friggin carbon fiber! with a USB drive in the end of it. Both of them use the super high quality uniball inserts.
Most of the folk here won't know that the one on the left, got shot in the eyes with a paintball gun, when he was a teenager. He's regained his sight now, but nobody talks about it.
The boyfriend of a flatmate was (and probably still is) a Geordie. Me and another housemate, at any opportunity would say "Duncan Duncan.. I cannae see!" when, of course. Any Geordie will tell you "cannae" (cannae is probably more Scottish) isn't the correct word, it should be "cannet". And Declan says "he can't see" in the actual show.. Still though, it didn't stop us ruining some Byker Grove lore.
You need to work with something often and for a while to gain this sort of joy from making it more utilitarian. That's why getting a new sponge for the sink feels so good when you get older.
I have one and it's decent actually. The ruler doesn't have a straight edge but it can be used for measuring things. The pen, level, and stylus are all good, no problem with them. The screwdriver works but I feel like when I turn it very, very hard, it might break. I got it to keep in my embroidery toolkit, to tighten hoops with. You're supposed to tighten them as much as you possibly can, so it's not the best for that, unfortunately. It would be fine just for unscrewing battery compartments /1
and stuff like that, where you don't have to screw it back insanely tight. I still like it though, it's good in a pinch and I still use the ruler and pen all the time. /2
