Batman plots: so complex they now incept themselves.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Think of all the money that could have been given to low income communities and after school programs to lessen crime. But noo, supersuit.

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 5

Woah, goosebumps.

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Endgame was amazing.

10 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 1

That smug look on Wonder Woman's face.

10 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 0

OMG I recently started batman when this came out. I literally salivated reading it. The superman fight is the best.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

noice

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Aqua man why you gotta be so useless

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Go watch Batman: The Brave and the Bold and fall in love with their ridiculous version of Aquaman.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

To be fair so far Diana was the only one to give him any real trouble and even that wasn't real. The Flash was instantly taken out.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He's not useless, especially considering that even while brainwashed he still has his values for honor.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

And when not taken down instantly he is on par with superman in strength

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Not "on par" with Superman, but definitely in the truck-throwing club.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

okay but after a certain point more strength really stops making a difference. Also forget trucks lets go with something heavier, like tanks

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not an exclusive club anymore. Seems pretty useless compared.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, yeah, he totally is.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cliffhanger much?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

WRITER INDUCED STUPIDITY

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

How did Batman survive his face being smashed into the floor in the first page? He had no armor on and doesn't even have a bloody nose!

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Yeah I was wondering about that too.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

what? O_o

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Im sorry but the "so the only to beat her" mistake drove me nuts.

10 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 4

Drove nuts too. Cant stand they miss word. It annoys me beyond.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because in the sentence before, she is mentioned as a warrior of truth

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 7

Thank you! I reread that panel a couple times just to make sure I wasn't stupid.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jumped down to the comments to see how many of us there were.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep, agreed.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why? It's not that a deal.

10 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

GG 2 EZ +1

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh you little shit. +1

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's not a mistake, the "only" is referring to a warrior, and should be understood as, "the only warrior to beat her, has to use a lie."

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 14

That's a stretch. That would be an uncommon and unnecessary structure, plus the complement being "with a lie" doesn't support that at all.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

"She's a warrior of truth, so the only (warrior) to beat her, is with a lie"

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

You could, however, say 'with a lie is the only way', or 'a lie is the only way/thing/weapon to beat her'.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Plus 'the only' is very rarely used alone as a subject. It's more of a determiner, incomplete on its own.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It can be understood, no offense meant. That sentence simply sounds clumsy. You can't say 'with a lie is the only warrior', or vice versa.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I know, it's very poor writing and sentence structure

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

God man I'm just trying to help people understand it, read the sentence before it with it and it will make sense

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

Is this from Injustice?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

No, the source is Batman Endgame

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

#5 Muscular Wonder Woman, that's what i wanted in Batman v Superman

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

she's also supposed to be like 6 feet tall

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is a collection of why I don't like Batman sometimes. Also the pages missing

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@OP I love this comic book. Can you please put written by Scott Synder and art by Greg Capullo? People need to read there take on Batman.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wow! A major character returns from the grave, again! What a crazy twist!!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

So.... how did Bruce survive getting his arm chopped off only to be operational in the next slide?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

WW... one of the strongest superheroes metahumans. Fact. Bitch.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I love her reactions whenever dialogue turns theological. "What do you mean, I talked to my gods just last week?"

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

#5 "So the only to beat her is with a lie."

10 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 3

Wow, my brain totally inserted "way".

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

"She's a warrior of truth, so the only (warrior) to beat her, is with a lie"

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's not a mistake, the "only" is referring to a warrior. It's meant to be understood as: "The only warrior to beat her, has to use a lie."

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

Then write the only warrior to beat her, has to use a lie. That's not how English works.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sorry, it's just the way it's written, when combined with the previous sentence it will make a little sense, I replied with a better version

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

batman already said that diana is the only one he doesn't have a contingency for if she goes against him.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Except apparently he does. Because, you know, plot armor. :)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

different version to the one who said he doesn't have a contingency.

...ken m?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I think he's talking about the fact a word is seemingly missing in the sentence.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

They didn't type the word 'Way'. There.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I give up.

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

He used the lie string to make her think she had killed him, trapping her in a false reality.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

Yes

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure they are pointing out the mistake in the sentence. Not that she isnt afraid to kill. Just a bad editor.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I know Marvel and DC copy each other left, right, and center. But "Justice Buster?" I don't like Bats in an Iron Man suit. I can read Marvel

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I think it makes sense in short bursts of required story, such as this. However, what you say is a reason why I don't like Batman Beyond.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Whereas I love that cartoon. The story of that shows development is cool. Executives wanted Teen Batman so Dini and Timm made Future Bats

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Different strokes, and all that. It's not a bad show, nor a bad concept, but I just prefer my Batmen Bruce Wayne style.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One moment Bruce is in the woods with WW. Then hes fighting her in a city in a mech suit. She cuts off the mech arm...then he's fine? What?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yeah, that part is confusing to me too. It was a lie that she believed, not the truth.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Bruce being taken down is an illusion. Batman actually just incapacitated and hypnotized her with a reverse version of Lasso of Truth.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Ahhh, thank you....even still, how did he get in the power armor? Or was he in the mech suit the whole time?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The Justice League, also known as the Justice League of America, is a fictional superhero team appearing in American comic books published b

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Thanks, I have never heard of such thing good sir!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

y DC Comics.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Anyone else feel confused and unsure of what's going on when reading this?

10 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 5

The ordering of the panels does a piss poor job of actually explaining what is happening.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

What really through me was Diana standing over his corpse and then he was walking away. She imagined it all because of the white rope on her

10 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

Yeah mainly that part

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*threw me I can totally spell.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

the joker poisoned the justice league because hes tired of batman's shit, is the simple version

10 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

That's some poison.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Okay I got that much. There was just all kinds of dialogue and robots and it was hard to keep track of everything that was happening

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Wait... What.??

10 years ago | Likes 248 Dislikes 6

The joker creates a special joker gas that infects people into a raging hatred of the people they love. Batman is attacked by everone

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So they all love Batman? I need to read this book properly

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Everyone loves Batman. He's DC's ultimate Mary Sue. :)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's basically what I say to superhero comics in a nutshell. "Wait... the fuck just happened?"

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Welcome to the wonderful bullshit world of Marvel and Dc. I'm reading Gods Among Us right now, Superman is evil, and Zeus just showed up.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

It gets better....

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Year 2 and 3 where great, but now its seems like "how do we one up this?" and it just gets silly. I expect they'll keep going and ruin it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Who's so funny that they could make all the JL laugh at once? And who happens to hate Batsy... Does Supe's smile look a little... familiar?

10 years ago | Likes 158 Dislikes 4

For the record, joker does not hate Batman. Just sayin'.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But how tho

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I knew it! It was the Riddler all along!

10 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 1

Dumbass, it's obviously the Penguin. Who else could fund such a devious plan.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is it... Helicopters?

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

"*sigh* If you AIM to give us a SHOT we'll RIDDLE you..."

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Will it be on the same Bat channel, at the same bat time?!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What is the Comic Name? O.o i need it!

It looks like a nightmare of sorts to me. 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

So yeah diana has been tricked with the reverse lasso and yes the joker tricked them all with his most powerfull toxin

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The suit was made of the stuff opposite Diana's Lasso of Truth. It deceives. She never stabbed him in the first place.

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Thank you for the explanation.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bruce's hand getting cut off is part of the "lie" diana is trapped in thanks to the reverse lasso batman bought on the black market

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yes, thanks for the explanation.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not tricked. He is controlling them with one of his toxins I believe.

10 years ago | Likes 110 Dislikes 2

AGAIN. BATMAN LEAVES JOKER ALIVE AND GET'S FUCKED AGAIN.

10 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

Not at the end of this story.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's the ultimate stale-mate he can't kill him.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Won't isn't can't.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

if he kills the Joker, he proves the joker right, cos the joker has said Some Day Bats will HAVE to kill him.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure, but he also stops a serial mass murderer who only he is capable of stopping. Batman chooses to let a lot of people die for his pride.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Stopped reading once Jim took up the cowl. Heard Bruce is back so I might have to get back into it.

10 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

Am I like the only guy who liked Superheavy

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its actually not that bad. The new villain, Mr.Bloom is quite interesting, but yeah, batman is back at issue #50.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's ending anyway, just wait until it starts in June with a new writer

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is it a new full time writer or are they giving Snyder an issue off. They seem to have that one non-arc issue between each one.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2 to be correct

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Superheavy has been one of the weaker stories since New 52 but it was still decent.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Batmans return was wonderfully done but Jim gordon as Batman shows a stubborn man doing the best he can and kinda succeeding. It'a fun read.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I didn't mind Jim so much but the ending was just kinda.... meh

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Basically why I hate Batman writers

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 6

oh please anybody can beat anyone if the plot demands it, not just batman.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

Pretty much. At least Batman has an excuse: he's the type of over-prepared motherfucker that will be ready to take his teammates down.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Very true but Batman is one of DC's biggest offenders, so many stories exist just to masturbate over him by having him beat the entire DCU

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

One of the worst I ever saw had Flash, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter literally on their knees begging Batman to make them "REAL" heroes.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

are you referring to the story where all metahumans lose their powers? I'm not sure why you have real in quotation marks.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yes I am referring to Act of God. Quotes because the plot was insisting Batman is the only proper hero of DCU, everyone else were posers

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

what makes a hero real? Does a hero need superpowers to be a hero? Anybody can be a hero even you or me.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Except the story was saying they were never legit heroes while they had their powers, only Batman was one because he never had any.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
