Shia would be so proud of this guy.

You can achieve your goals, I'm living proof. Beefcake.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Its an older reference, sir, but it checks out.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's kind of awesome seeing someone who had high goals make them!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There are a couple westerners working in Japanese game companies, another being James Turner at Game Freak. It's rare, but possible!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I appreciate him coding the moose to run in circles. Makes farming gourmet meat much simpler. 12/10

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Back in Corey's day memes were called "image macros" and only nerds used the internet on their phones.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shit like this is what we really need. Something to remind us that anything really is possible if you really try your best.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

People can try their best and still fail horribly. if you don't try at all though, you are more likely to fail.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

... I.. Uh.. I don't know about you all, but I would not want him teaching English to my kids. "puts a poison.. What?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Japan English Teachers hires you once you get a bachelor's degree; since 2007 he could have graduated, taught in Japan & worked @ Nintendo.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's probably a regional thing, but it should be obvious what it means from context.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

... I.. Uh.. hope you don't have kids if you can't put that one together.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

And he did a kick ass job! That game is fantastic!

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I only have 2 problems with the game, one is durabilty is too low on almost all items, second is that shield surf takes durability.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Agreed. Shield surfing is so freaking fun. I used most of my Korok seeds on shield slots so I could carry more haha

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Exactly they gave us a fun as fuck way to get around, then punished you for doing it. It kinda sucks.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hey I wanna be a game designer! Cool, you're hired! Sweet, what do you want me to do? Programming. https://youtu.be/LukyMYp2noo

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

you do have to have an actual skill to get a job. in games, it's usually either art or programming.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, anyone that seriously wants to go into game development has to know that "Idea guy" or "Designer" isn't a role.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

You're either implementing or providing art assets of some kind

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The name still doesn't stick out as much as Speed Weed, a writer for Arrow

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What kind of world was the '07 internet where you could use your full name as a user name

8 years ago | Likes 1404 Dislikes 5

The same as today, but with less special snowflakes.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

ahem.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mine was on here up until 2015 I think. Same account so if you try hard enough you might be able to track it down.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is your name not actually Roovy Roo?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait, RoovyRoo isn't your real name?!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still doing it... *walking the line*

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I played BF2 with my first and last name as a username.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some of us still pretend the internet is like that.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

People still do, constantly.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

in the 90s we stuck with asking a/s/l to get the info we needed.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A time before people started to grab onto the iPhones. Before millennial were working in the work force.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You mean like all the sites that use Facebook comments sections now?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Eh, so many of my social media sites tie back to Facebook anyway. I just keep this account pretty clean.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I still use mine on every vehicle repair forum

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My AOL id was my actual name. That's how early I joined.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When I got my first e-mail address around 1998, a random employee at my local library had the e-mail dave@yahoo.com

Sweet innocent times. The news weren't just clickbait, market liberal right wing politics only happened in the US and milk was still healthy

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2007

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

THe same as it is now. I dont know what these people are on about being safe in 07. There was still some bad shit out there.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Isn't that what people are doing now all the time on Twitter, Facebook and other social media?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol made my first PlayStation account in 07 and my psn ID is literally my first and last names.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was not very common. Mostly it was shit like "killzator003405" or "SpongeBobFan576."

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Some of us still have usernames from that period of time.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My name hasn't even been... y'know what. I'll leave it out.

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

I do that. Well, 4206969 is my last name, but you can't put spaces.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A naive yet equally shitty one.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wait, you mean that your name isn't really Roovy Roo?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

What, like I do?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Bold move, Cotton- er, Chris.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It was the kind of times we'll tell our grandkids about. Memes were fresh but not dank, viral videos didn't have pleas for likes and subs.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Online gaming was way less salty.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

"I tell ya, I don't like these new memes, they just knock you on your ass. Give me an orly owl, I'll have a chuckle."

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

memes used to be called image macros back then

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Only when we were having pretentious conversations about them in relation to culture, that would be uncouth otherwise

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

in all fairness it's like points on imgur, I think the onus is on the website to put less value on it

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 549 Dislikes 5

I sold my soul to Google, they know all

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A kid got suspended from my college for saying some stupid shit on Twitter

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

that's silly, I don't think colleges should do stuff like this.

A naive one.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

4.6% were actually amphibians, but were too polite to correct anybody.
