It'a actually quite difficult to figure skate in hockey skates. The edges on the blades are different and the toepick is missing.

I find it's the curve fore and aft where figure skates have a long stable straight tail.

The main difference is the sharpness of the blade and that figure skates have toe picks on them. I'll be thoroughly impressed if they (1/2)
