I came my pants when he shook the bone and the meat fell off

I want to see the look of pure disappointment on the face of a cook who fucks up the flip for the first time

We should also consider for a moment the guy who made that table. Lesser tables would have caved right in with a slam like that.

There is like a whole lamb in there.

I feel like the amount of meat is badly distributed compared to the amount of rice. I mean rice for 50 persons only 25 get a pork chop

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i've had this dish, based on how much lamb i got the suggested serving of meat for this is a small meatball

You had my curiosity, but now you have my erection.

I love how proud Mr. Chef man looks.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I find his genuine smile attractive. And he's strong, and he cooks, too.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not Biryani. This looks like a Palestinian dish called Maq-loo-beh

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Which means upside-down or something like that

First hands in or you will have the runs later

7 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 19

That's why the fork was invented

7 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 5

Nah. Status symbol and etiquette. People didn't give a shit about spreading germs in communal bowls in the Dark Ages

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Wash your filthy hands bruh! Do you even briyani?!

7 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

But some cultures dont use forks. So even if you do, you'll still be having those runny bois

I'm more impressed with the wall.

7 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 2

Trump? Is that you?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I could do that. With years of practice, I mean... Actually... I couldn't even lift that bowl, let alone flip it.

7 years ago | Likes 437 Dislikes 0

With years of practice I'm sure you could lift the bowl.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I once saw a guy insist on lifting the entire shoulder of a cow by himself after it came out of the oven. He burned himself horribly.

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I'll just shove the whole damn thing in my mouth

7 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

All those bones tho..

Low hanging fruit.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's basically the motto for this dog and pony show.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Isn't it jsut going to fall all over the table once you touch it

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

it's pretty held together. unless you're heavy handed and mess it up on purpose, it will hold together.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

It's just going to turn to shit once you eat it as well - what's your point?

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

That must have sounded cleverer in your head

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Not really. Food is more than nutrition. Taste matters too, and so does presentation. Food is better if it looks appetizing.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Ok and what does that have to do with what I said

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's presented to look impressive, to get people excited about eating. The fact that the presentation will get spoiled as they eat does 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Is this a Palestiny dish? Saw something similar to this on Anthony Bourdain without borders

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

the chef is Turkish, this looks to be a turkish style biryani.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It looks like Palestinian makloube but I'm not a specialist.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

there's a lot of different rice dishes in the indian to arabic regions, makloube and biryani are completely difference.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I agree - maqluba literally means "upside down", so, yea, not a biryani.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Biryani is primarily an Indian dish, but I'm sure it's spread throughout the area and has many similar sister dishes in the region.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Biryani was made by muslims in north india, it has spread all the way to egypt at least from my personal experience

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Thanks! Nice to hear from someone with personal experience with the dish.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

yeah my friend is egyptian and i've had biryani at his parent's house often. the first statement is from wikipedia.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh, I'm envious. That sounds delicious!
