10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What form of transportation did you take? Can you please describe some travel tips or considerations when traveling with a spiky floof?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Welcome to my crib!" He announces as he spreads his front legs in front of the majestic forest background

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oregon? I think that's Oregon.

If I'm a hedgehog, I'd like to remove all my spikes for my favourite man and show him my gentlest heart.

Can't wait until my cactus rat chills the fuck out so I can hold him.

10 years ago | Likes 380 Dislikes 1

Same

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It took months of me handling our girl in a shirt of mine for her to chill with me. It takes a lot of time and work. Just be patient!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You have to handle them every day or they grow up to be not cool with it...also some never warm up to being handled a lot.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

+1 for cactus rat

10 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 1

What is a cactus rat?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hedgehog

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh wait, never mind.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There is a period where they aren't chill? What is it doing now?

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Being weaned and adjusting to a new home.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Has it gone through quilling yet?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah, he's about a month and a half old. He's just freaking out.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Poor thing. Mine was a grumpus, but warm baths always helped him mellow out for a while.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Make sure you put a worn tshirt of yours in his/her cage occasionally so they get used to your smell. Used to have one.

10 years ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 0

Yup, done. He's gotten much better, just not quite relaxed enough to hold for long.

10 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Can you make a " how to own a hedgehog". I give you many upvotes

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Tip 1. Don't get a hedgehog. They REALLY hurt when they bite/spike up. They're nocturnal and make ton of noise on the wheel. And they smell

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Tip 1. Don't listen to BurtMacklin. Hedgehogs require care, just like all pets. The amount of energy you put into them = amount of reward.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Right there with you. I just brought my baby girl home last week. She is going through the stress of the move and quilling at the same time

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I don't know what "quilling" is but it sounds shitty, painful, and annoying. My Labrador is laying on my lap and has no spikes

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's when they lose their baby quills and get their big quills. And it is shitty, painful and annoying for them.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That sounds like a nightmare for everyone involved.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

She's doing ok she's just in pain and sleeps a lot. I'm giving her time to adjust and making sure she's comfy. I gave her an oatmeal bath 1/

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

/2. The other night and it seemed to have made her feel quite a bit better.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oatmeal bath? I'll have to keep that in mind haha
