It kills me to see him that way.

Man, how it kills me to see one of my childhood heroes suffer so much...

Dang, I thought he was hanging in there better these days :(

It hurts to see Michael like this. I have a huge back to the future poster on my wall where he's so young and i forget about the parkinsons

I had guys stopping to come beat on me. Not happy

Gotta say, fair play to MJF. A lot of people would have holed up on his diagnosis. He hasn't. That takes balls.
betterthanexpected
MJF was my hero when I was a kid. MJF is my hero now.

The fact he keeps pushing forward despite his condition is quite inspirational.

well, somewhat, because it's... random. And missing spaces.

Confused by the random Dutch lol

I thought OP had a stroke mid title
Yeah reading Dutch will do that to people.
giveittomestraightlikeapearcidermadefrom100percentpears
The US doesn't have a thing about "National Treasures", like the UK does. But if there was a US list of them, MJF would be on it, for sure.
Septcanmat
Except like so many American national treasures, he’s actually Canadian ;)
F**K HE IS! I will now go into exile like Hamlet or Idi Amin.
DutchCraft2050
My heroes, BTTF really contributed to shape my childhood memories.
joeyecho101
Just watched all three recently. They really hold up and are tons of fun.
They sure are!
WillemHellfire
JFC, this made my eyes sweat a little.
TheRustySheriff
This is probably one of the saddest things in Hollywood. Devastating to see.

Even took time and effort to be polite to the man walking him out.

He is a god among men for remaining in plain sight to help draw attention to his debilitating ails.

My dad got diagnosed with in 2018, was gone by 2021. His mind was gone by 2019. Hope they find a cure.

Sorry for your loss. That’s awfully quick.

This interview from 2013 is great, but contrary to what the clickbait title suggests, cannabis isn't mentioned at all.
Great interview from 2013, but clickbait title notwithstanding, cannabis is never mentioned.
My apologies. I know he has talked about it in some comiccon panels. His foundation also offers a guide on its usage as well.
TheFifthTK
MJF still out here hotdogging for the fans even though it looks uncomfortable for him. What a sweetheart
IAmGORT
Yep he's a legend. My sister has Parkinson's and it's a horrible disease. She's had the Deep Brain Stim surgery and it's made a difference
I know he's stopped taking his meds occasionally to prove a point. Is that how his body's behaving even with meds these days? Christ.
revilo314
This is for sure on dopa or dopamine agonists, which cause hyperkinesia; without them he'd be stiff, slow and tremulous.
Christ. What a choice.
SpecialAgentPinkfinger
His attitude is the freaking best.
kwyjiboner
More than uncomfortable; the poor dude's broken several bones in the last year alone.
Persmo
Does Parkinson's cause bones to weaken? Or did he have accidents?
Fairemont
Unfortunately, there's not much that can be done about it, so seeing him live life despite that is uplifting in a way.

By protecting us from the skeleton uprising right? Right!?
SpaceballsTheComment
There's something deep inside of me that says no. *gasp* I'm compromised!
The symptoms you describe point to ‘bonus eruptus’, a terrible disorder where the skeleton tries to leap out the mouth and escape the body!

Brendan Fraser on Scrubs was the most heart-wrenching episode of TV
IHaveAGuyForEverything
Great episode.
neospor1n
In my head it was 2? I can’t remember nor am I able to google
He was actually in 2 episodes of season 3. Source: I’ve seen Scrubs about 50 times.
Speaking of Scrubs. Ted was actually Christopher Lloyd's nephew.
Justtoberight
now i see the resemblance
ComoSeIguana
Unfortunately Sam Lloyd died back in 2020.
At least he gave us the best version of Hey Ya before he passed.
Mordy9
Oh yes, I too learned that few years back
Haniel81
Damn, I somehow missed this episode. This should be it's own post
That scream of rage. As far as I’m concerned, that wasn’t acting, that was genuine and authentic anger that MJF had with his own body.
c991257
What did he need?
MyFavoritesArePrettyNeatIGuess
He was going to dump his problems on Fox's character. Then smartly decides against it
I think he says "Nothing" a the end. If I remember correctly, JD was looking for a mentor and thought he found it in Dr Casey
Zombimancer
Yup, he thought he was the only one that felt that way and Foxs character is the golden child. It was humbling to see his heros struggle too
