I don’t wear heels anymore but those are pretty blocky and should be stable. The tough part is the stockings combined with the lack of a heel strap. Your toes would be working overtime trying to keep enough pressure against the front strap to keep the shoes on your feet when walking. The stockings reduce friction/inside grip.
Years ago I was the bad guy because I wakeboarded. Our boat, our activity, was not welcome. It is what it is. 18 years later…the lake has 50 of these boats on it…which makes me happy, but 4/50 do anything other than surf…46/50 are just a bunch of drunk party timers driving in circles at 10mph acting like being able to surf behind a boat is an accomplishment. This makes me sad. In my instructor days, we did it for kids that couldn’t stand up on anything else. To boost their confidence.
It’s a strange sub culture of wakeboarding/skating & waterskiing (I suppose)…and it the easiest and most wasteful of the group…the price of admission for any of these activities is high, to say the least (I bet that’s a 200k boat and gas bills for a 200L tank running a 4.8L are for real), but the ease of standing on a surfboard being pushed forward by a manufactured standing wave - is unrivalled. You’re not “surfing” you might as well be on a lawn chair screwed to a disk. There is no skill (2)
Usually - it’s a boat full of People who can afford the price of admission for the tools (boat, board, gas) but don’t have interests is pursuing boarding/skating/skiing…which are all much much harder, and require sacrifice to learn. So what you’re left with is people doing this junk: “I can wakesurf wearing a funny costume/drinking a beer/whatever - aren’t I fun and talented?” No. you paid an incredibly steep price to do what anyone can do. Because you won’t invest effort into the harder ones
What I'm stuck on is how do you get her on the board while also completely and perfectly dry? There's some clever trickery somewhere, either with a practical effect or with a camera effect and whichever it is it was executed perfectly
After looking at the rest: Looks real, but still maybe there's postproduction work, I dunno, she's amazingly good in the ones where it's obvious that she's really doing it all.
She's surfing on the wake from a boat. She gets on the board while holding the boat for balance, boat starts going forward and she's moved with it until she can let the wake catch up. *pure speculation on my part*
