Probably poured maple syrup into your gas tank 😜

I saw a US license plate and American flag painted on the back window of a truck and I audibly boo'ed inside my car.

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I can’t imagine feeling welcomed by a country. I’m an American and never felt welcomed in my own country.

The American dream: get out of America.

Must be nice.

I've visited Canada and I've visited America. Canada is really nice.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Makes sense. Your Government is the main problem. I have no problem with most of its citizens (that I have met).

10 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

The ones with whom you'd have a problem have their noses too far up Trump's ass to actually travel to Canada.

canadian black spot. rip, op

10 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

You dare give me the black spot? And drawn on a page from a Tim Horton's flyer? You tore a page from The HOLY FLYER to give me the Black Spot? or, alternatively: Its worse than a black spot, its actually a White Spot.

That's from Kingston! My home town!

Thank you, Canadian, for keeping my faith that you are nice humans

No one put a froggy sticker on our windshield, Im supper Jelly.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is it genuine with no "eh", eh?

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hey "Lindsay Smith", if you have immigrated to Canada, and have established residence in Ontario to start working toward your PR, and you brought that car with you, and it still has American plates on it, you are likely in danger of getting a ticket or getting fined. Imported cars are supposed to be registered in ON within 45 days of import and inspection.

Well, *that* was a polite reminder...

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh hey there, neighbour

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depending if there isn't a massive change in the US government, it would behoove me to look for another country to live in. I know there is no guarantee, but hopefully Canada would be willing to let me in.

10 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Chaz? Sounds suspicious...

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hate to say this cuz I am pro immigration and also I like Americans. Canada is small, if America keeps self destructing. Canada won’t be able to handle a large amount of people fleeing. You guys are 10 times the population as us, our cities are very dense and housing is extremely high demand and expensive here. The other issue is, if America goes Germany style, Canada is cooked.

OKay but why does this seem vaguely threatening?

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Enjoy your stay! ...or else.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Precisely! D:

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Welcome to Canada. When the fascists try seizing power here, I hope you'll do something besides run away again.

10 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

you're welcome to move south and help the fight, buddy.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sounds to me like they left before the fascists seized power. I understand— reading comprehension is sometimes hard, buddy! But ya gotta try your best!

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Oh, you think all this only started last November. Adorable.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Welcome to Canada. You’ll be sorry.

Get fucked. It’s an old Canadian joke.

10 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

When Canada takes over the world you'll all be sorry! muhahaha.

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thank you, you got the joke.

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Welcome to canada where everyone's nice expect in quebec.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it seems like this is in Kingston, Ontario; I lived there for a bit, friendly place.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But if you don’t speak French how would you even know? The 4 times I’ve gone to NB we always avoided Quebec. Heard they don’t like English speakers there and funnily enough…they don’t speak English (had a neighbour from there he spoke English - RCMP - but his parents knew not a word or pretended not to).

I failed my Canadian citizenship test, with the Q: what is "icing" in hockey?

10 months ago | Likes 94 Dislikes 2

Icing is when the puck come down the ice, my arm go "comme ça", then the game stop then start up.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And if get a penalty you go to the penalty box and feel shame, after 2 minutes you go free.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s the frosting they put on the lines (blue and red)

10 months ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 0

How deep under the ice are those lines?

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Answer: "Yet another opportunity for the ref to demonstrate how blind they are."

10 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Don't feel too bad, the refs don't know what it is either

10 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

50% of the game?

10 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

During regular season, yes. Playoffs? Well that's when we get to see hockey being played.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's essentially a delay of game penalty caused by intentionally flinging the puck across the rink in order to waste time. It is most commonly done in power play killing situations.

10 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Ah but it’s considered a valid defence against a power play and is not called. It’s only a penalty during normal play. Also not called if the goalie skates out and touches the puck before any of the regular players.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sounds an awful lot like a Canadian “offside” rule from the comments.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Uh sorta, but there is also actual offside in hockey so they had to call it something else.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Kinda but not really. There is an "offside" rule in hockey (player without puck crosses center ice ahead of teammate with puck)

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sorry, I wasn’t clear, I was meaning an oft debated kinda vague/tricky to police rule. It was still only a tongue in cheek comment though as I know neither sport.

But you will throw me in, right?

10 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

So it's still possible WITH due process?

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I am not aware of a situation that it is allowed other than extradition which also includes due process.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But they might make you go to Manitoba.

That's a risk, we Canadians, all have to face one day or the other

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Could be worse...could be Saskatchewan!

10 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Saskatchewan is clearly a cartographic error and doesn't actually exist. A perfectly rectangular province? Yeah right, some map maker just got lazy and decided to skip a bit.

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And just used a ruler!! 😲😱

At least the east side is sorta serrated. Not sure who’s cutting who though…is it us? Or is it them? 🤔

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which is only a punishment in the Summer and Winter. Weird how it can swing so far both ways for weather...

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Saturday to this last Thursday was 28-36C - AKA HOT AF (for me anyway) for those still living in the degree of F...today...it's 8. Calling for below or around 0 some nights coming up...and my wife just did ALL of her flowers...

I experienced summers in far north Alberta back in the early eighties. It would often get to in to +40C.

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Maybe so, but it is wild that Winnipeg has been hitting 37C (without humidity) since the 1900s, and frequently experiences -37C or less since.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No argument from me. Climate change is real. That was just my experience of the wild seasonal temperature swings of Northern Alberta.
