No special occasion should be necessary for us to be grateful for the relationship the US and UK share. Very few nations throughout all of history have been able to achieve this level of support, camaraderie and friendship. I just want to take a moment to salute you cheeky bastards across the pond in the UK.

As a US citizen who visits you often, my family loves you lots!

Ran into a couple UK sailors when I was in the Navy. You little fuckers can drink!! Got me to my ship safely to. Thanks a million!

7 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 2

I tried that crap once with Australians. Pretty much sure they're weaned with alcohol.

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

That's weird. I ran into Aussie sailors in Hong Kong. We taught them beer pong and drank them under the table. I was underwhelmed.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Pretty much all the Aussies I've met were sailors. Maybe they're the best of the best.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I did that with a USMC Marine. He got screamed at for losing his "Battle Buddy". They seemed surprised we would take him back not leave him.

As a Brit that's never been to the US, if I could afford it, where should I go? Like what state/area/attrsction and why?

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Any national park! They’re the best I’ve been to in any country.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How long would you have? I’d say NYC for two days, head down to DC, then Charleston, then Cincinnati, Chicago or Memphis, Denver, SF & SD

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Minnesota. It's not special, but hearing the accent is so fucking hilarious.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Definitely worth the plane fare I'm sure! I've been to Norway it's kinda a similar twang isn't it?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sort of. Imagine Canadian and Norwegian accents had a baby.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'd start in DC and end in Boston. You can take the train DC to Philly to NYC to Boston and get a lot of different sites in. Ideally you'd

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

want to see much more of the country, but for a normal-sized trip, I recommend this for how much you do see and ease of travel.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Brit here, I did a road trip through Colorado/Arizona/Utah/Nevada it was absolutely stunning especially Utah. I'm more in to natural beauty.

New Orleans for the Mardi Gras. Went this year going back next year. Atmosphere you need to experience it.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I go to New Orleans every year and the food, people and music is amazing!

Massachusetts resident here, it depends on what you are interested in. The national parks are great to get a feeling of the scale, such as /

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yellowstone, Yosemite, or Zion (there are tons to choose from.) Cities are great for exploring the variety of peoples that the US is made of

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

One of my favorite trips was to Denali National Park in Alaska in the summer, bcuz of how far north it is the sun didn't ever really go down

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ooh I experienced something similar in Norway, beautiful place. Thanks, nature stuff would be right up my street.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you want to get the real "American experience", go to New York city, San Diego, New Orleans, Seattle, Vegas, Miami, Philadelphia and then

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Just pick a random small ass town in the Midwest like Bloomington, IN.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

If you're into breathtaking hiking and nature, try a Western State like Utah or Colorado. Utah has 5 State Parks which are amazing.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Utah was the highlight of my roadtrip especially Zion and Bryce.

Arizona in July if you want to know what actual hell feels like

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Like temperature wise? Or does July mean something else in Arizona?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Temperature wise. Also avoid Florida in july. The humidity and mosquitoes are so bad they literally kill hundreds every year.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

120 degrees in July is normal for AZ

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

for reference, the US government issued a statement there’s a special place in hell for Trudeau. Witty!

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Brit here also. I would say that we largely love Canada a bit more than we love 'Murca.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Amarican here. I would say we feel the same.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well with the Americans history of rebellion....

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

sorry our president said you represent a real threat after that business in 1812. never been any bad blood between us and Russia tho.

7 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 3

Did the Cheeto-in-Chief really say that? Canada represents a real threat to america because of 1812?

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

The only thing more depressing is the fact that there are surely people who support this decision.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah - he commented that we burned the White House. I think he kinda forgot the US started the war..?

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

He seems to forget a lot of "inconvenient" things. I wonder if he'll try something against France and England next..

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Of course. Its all a matter of what he's decided to be mad about at any given moment. Right now, we aren't caving on NAFTA so he's pissed

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

1812 is his justification for using 'National security' grounds to include Canada in the steel and aluminum tariffs, yes.

7 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Oh my god

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I.. just... wow.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Isn't that the one where America invaded Canada and lost horribly because they had a bone to pick with Europe?

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I'd call it more of a draw (both sides burned some of the other's stuff, but no land changed hands), but basically yeah. The kicker 1/

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

*Glares in Australian*

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You know we love you too.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Glaring? That's a tariff!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Sssssssh! He's probably forgotten all about you, all tucked away down there. Maybe even confused you with New Zealand. It's for the best.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Dont glare, do something about. Only power you have is your wallet, don't buy american goods anymore.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

I think you might misunderstand how small a population we have and how much it costs to import from overseas. We are moving that way though

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I understand, things we'll be more expensive. However Canada is the #1 trading partner for 31 states and for sum we buy half or more...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is somewhat what we are banking on - trying to get those states to push for change, however, the pres hasn't been known to care

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah new York has a population alone that's right equal honour whole country. Add La and were outnumbered roughly 2 to 1.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Whoops to our

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2) regular consumers can put alot of pressure on that. Ultimately everyone looses but I won't buy from a friend that thinks we are a threat.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True - its just 36 mil vs 350mil, but we hope that "every little bit counts"

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't you need to apologize now? :)

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sorry but no.... I am livid!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Haha. I really thought ya cute cannucks only got mad about hockey and maple syrup thefts :)

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And our honor good sir!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which is why I asked if why you had not apologized yet ;) I didn't think your honor allowed you be angry at others. That was for the aussies

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Of which hockey and syrup also fall under.
